  • CAN통신은 자동차 내부 전자제어장치 간의 통신을 위하여 개발되었으며, CAN통신은 UART 방식과는 달리 전송속도와 안정성 측면에서도 뛰어나고 배선 결선에서도 간편한 버스타입으로 구성할 수 있어서 배선량을 줄일 수 있어 생산시간의 단축과 신뢰성을 높일 수 있다. 최근에는 자동제동장치, 선박의 엔진제어 등 다양한 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CAN통신을 기반으로 하여 3개의 리니어 액추에이터(Linear Actuator)를 통하여 수평 플랜트에 대한 수평제어를 구현하였다. 또한 본 논문의 수평제어시스템은 수평조절을 하는 액추에이터와 CAN통신을 내장한 AT90CAN128로 구성되어 있다. CAN통신을 기반의 수평제어를 통해 선박이나 자동차의 액추에이터를 조절하여 수평을 제어하고자 한다.

  • Now the CAN(controller Area Network) is using electronic modules as a serial communication which is very robust to noise. Especially the CAN is using for automotive part that very popular in which automotive electronic control module, engine controller unit, sensor modules, etc. but the CAN has the order of priority to linking node and also has fault confinement so using in these features that is applied to in factory automation product line. The CAN communication is basically very robust to electric noise so varied applying to others part. In this paper, we suggest to CAN interface for embedded system that is possible for error detection using two CAN nodes on Hi-speed, full-CAN.

  • The high-intensity focused ultrasound device intermittently operates abnormally due to communication signal interference between the devices during use due to the high frequency radiated during the skin treatment procedure. Communication interference between multi-frequency ultrasound devices can be reduced through CAN communication controller and transceiver design, firmware S/W program and CAN communication module development.

  • In this paper, we implement the VLC system based on CAN communication which is usually used in car, plane, ship, product line control system, medical device and industrial device. We implement the application circuit which is VLC and CAN communication and explain the principle. Circuit's pulse features are demonstrated by each part's signal. Total communication distance is 3m and it's transmission performance is error free.

  • CAN communication developed for communication between electric control devices in vehicle, was recently applied to automatic braking devices, and can also be applied to field bus for production automation. Recently, field bus is introduced in engine control, etc. for large ship. In this paper, cabin access control system can be implemented, based on CAN communication. The cabin access control system based on CAN communication consists of access control server, embedded system based on ARM9, and micro-controller built-in CAN controller. The access control server can be able to manage overall access control system by accessing with manager. And embedded system adopted ARM9 processor transmits access information of RFID reader controller connected with CAN networks to server, also performs access control. The embedded system can carry CAN frames to server, so it can be used as gateway.

  • 본 논문에서는 CAN 기반 분산 제어 시스템을 위한 환경 명세 CORBA인 CAN-CORBA를 설계한다. CAN-CORBA의 ORB core는 다음과 같은 특성을 지닌다. (1) 기존의 접속 지향 점대점 통신뿐만 아니라 가입 기반(subscription-based)의 그룹 통신을 지워난다. 이를 통해, 결과적으로 전형적인 제어 시스템의 데이터 멀티캐스팅(multicasting) 요구를 한층 충족시킨다. (2) CORBA 메소드(method) 호출에 필요한 메시지 전송량을 크게 감소시킨다. CAN 같은 저속 브로드케스트(broadcast) 버스에서도 CORBA 메소트 호출의 오버헤드를 감당 할 수 있게 한다. 자연스럽게 두 종류의 통신 방법을 본 논문에서 제안한 매우 작은 크기의 ORB에 통합하기 위하여, 최대 4가지의 상위 통신규약을 지원할 수 있는 CAN의 전송층(Transport layer) 통신규약을 설계한다. 또한 서울대학교에서 이미 개발된 mArx라는 실시간 운영체제 환경에서 CAN-CORBA를 구현하였다. 성능 평가를 통하여 매우 제한적인 자원을 지니는 분산 내장형 제어 시스템 개발에 CORBA를 사용하는 것이 매우 적합하다는 결과를 보인다.

  • CAN communication developed for communication between electric control devices in vehicle, was recently applied to automatic breaking devices, and can also be applied to field bus for production automation. Recently, field bus is introduced in engine control etc., for large ship. In this paper, cabin access control system is implemented, based on CAN communication.   • 본 논문은 CAN(Controller Area Network) 통신의 WCRT(Worst Case Response Time) 분석을 통해 IEEE1212 기반 RTU(Remote Terminal Unit)의 통신 신뢰성을 검증한다. RTU는 원격지에서 네트워크를 구성하여 각 모듈들로부터 획득한 정보를 서버로 전송하거나 원격지를 제어하는 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서 대상으로 하는 RTU의 네트워크는 물리계층과 데이터링크 계층은 CAN을 사용하고 응용계층은 IEEE1212 기반으로 통신한다. 즉, RTU를 구성하는 모듈은 각각메모리 영역을 가지고 있고, CAN ID에 메모리 주소를 포함하여 해당 영역을 쓰는 구조로 통신을 한다. 첫 번째로 이러한 응용계층을 고려하여 WCRT를 계산하는 방법을 제시하고, 두 번째로 CAN 메시지의 우선 순위를 최적화하는 방법을 고찰한다. 마지막으로 시험 환경을 구축하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 앞에서 선정한 우선순위에 따라 통신 신뢰성을 검증한다.

  • LED-based lighting motivated by significant energy savings provides an opportunistic development of widespread free-space optical communications. Their transceivers have a variety of competitive advantages over RF including high bandwidth density, reliability, lower energy consumption, and long lifetime. But, it is difficult for existing buildings and structures such as ships and vehicles to install the communication cable to the ceiling. In this paper, controller area network (CAN)-based LED lighting communication systems were proposed. Results indicate the viability of developing inexpensive CAN interface modules and transceivers might be embedded in lighting products to support the indoor wireless networking.

  • This paper proposes an in-vehicle network controller fully exploiting the advantages of UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) and CAN (Controller Area Network). UART is used in 1-to-1 communication and it exploits parity bit for data integrity check. The proposed in-vehicle network controller converts UART into CAN, which enables multiple communications along with 1-to-1 communication. Also, the proposed in-vehicle network controller exploits CRC (cyclic redundancy check) for data integrity check, which increases communication reliability. CAN is controlled by microprocessor, but the proposed in-vehicle network controller can be controlled by any devices compliant with RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485.
