$C_{60}$(buckminsterfullurene) 홀주입층을 적용한 유기박막트랜지스터의 성능향상 (Performance enhancement of Organic Thin Film Transistor using $C_{60}$ hole injection layer)

  • 본 연구에서는 유기반도체인 펜타센과 소스-드레인 금속전극사이에 $C_{60}$을 홀주입층으로 적용한 유기박막트랜지스터를 제작하여 $C_{60}$을 삽입하지 않은 소자와의 전기적특성을 비교하였다. $C_{60}/Au$ 이중전극을 사용한 소자의 경우 Au단일전극을 사용한 소자와 비교하였을 때 전하이동도는 0.298 $cm^2/V{\cdot}s$에서 0.452 $cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ 문턱전압의 경우 -13.3V에서 -10.8V로 향상되었으며, contact resistance를 추출하여 비교하였을 경우 감소함을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 성능의 향상은 $C_{60}$을 Au와 pentacene 사이에 삽입하였을 경우 Au-pentacene 간의 원하지 않는 화학적 반응을 막아줌으로써 홀 주입장벽를 감소시켜 홀 주입이 향상되었기 때문이다. 또한 Al을 전극으로 적용한 OTFT도 제작하였다. 기존에 Al은 OTFT에 단일전극으로 사용하였을 경우 둘간의 높은 홀 주입장벽으로 인해 채널이 거의 형성되지 않았으나, $C_{60}/Al$ 이중전극을 사용한 소자의 경우 전하이동도와 전류점멸비은 0.165 $cm^2/V{\cdot}s$, $1.4{\times}10^4$ 으로써 Al를 단일전극으로 사용하는 소자의 전기적 특성에 비해 크게 향상되어진 소자를 제작할 수 있었다. 이는 $C_{60}$과 Al이 접합시에 interface dipole의 형성으로 Al의 vacuum energy level이 변화로 인한 Al의 work function이 증가되어 pentacene과 Al간의 hole injection barrier가 감소되었기 때문이다.

한국산 P.V.C.의 생물학적 안정도 및 적합성에 대한 실험적 고찰 (An experimental study on the biological safety and compatability of P.V.C. made in Korea)

  • These biologic test procedures are designed to test the suitability of P.V.C. made in Korea intended for parenteral preparation, which were based on the U.S. Pharmacopeia XIX "Biologic Test-Plastic Container", Official from July 1, 1975. Healthy adult human blood and rabbits weighing 2\ulcorner.2Kg were used for test materials. Sample P.V.C. were sampled from the medical equipments made in Korea randomly and Control P.V.C. were sampled from the standardized Cobe and Polystan P.V.C. tubes. P.V.C. extract was prepared from a homogeneous P.V.C. samples by incubating 60 square centimeters of the sample per 20 millimeters of sterile pyrogen-free saline at 70\ulcorner for 72 hours or autoclaving at 120\ulcorner for 1 hour. The Implantation Test was designed to evaluate the reaction of living tissue to the plastic by the method of the implantation of the Sample itself into animal tissue. The Systemic Injection Test, the Intracutaneous Test, and the remainders were designed to determine the biological response of animals to plastics by the single-dose injection of specific extracts prepared from a Sample. The results are as follows; 1.Implantation Test - No significant difference for reactions was noted between the Sample treated animal and the Control after 72 hours of implantation. 2.Systemic Toxicity Injection Test - No sign of toxicity and/or death immediately after injection and at 4, 24, 48 hours respectfully after injection. 3.Intracutaneous Test - None of the animals treated with the Sample showed a significantly greater reaction than the observed in the animals treated with Blank. 4.Pyrogen Assay-Only one animal treated with the Sample showed the maximal rise of rectal temperature about 0.2\ulcorner after 3 hours of injection, but remainders showed no change. 5.Hemolytic Index - The positive Control tube of distilled water exhibited complete hemolysis while the negative Control tube and P.V.C. extract were negative demonstrating no hemolysis. 6.Cell Morphology of Erythrocytes and Leukocytes on Stored, Heparinized Human Blood -- There was no significant difference in the morphology of either the Control or Sample extract. 7.Clotting Mechanism of Human Blood in vitro - After allowing to the P.V.C. extract at room temperature for 5 Hours and at 10\ulcorner for 24 hours, there was no appreciable difference in Prothrombin Time under these conditions. 8.Clotting Mechanism of Rabbit in vivo - At the termination of 5 days after intraperitoneal injection of the P.V.C. extract, no significant changes in Clotting Time were observed. According to the above results, it could be concluded that the P.V.C. made in Korea was acceptable for parenteral preparation, especially treated with physiologic saline and/or human blood.man blood.

Actinomycins에 의한 Adenosine Deaminase의 억제

  • Adenosine deaminase inhibitor was extracted from culture broth of Streptomyces sp. strain V-8 with ethylacetate. The ethylacetate extract showed the characteristic UV absorption spectrum of actinomycins at 440-450 nm. The ethylacetate extract was compared with respect to inhibitory behavior against adenosine deaminase from calf intestinal mucosa with actinomycin D, -C complex and actinomycin V. The Ki values for actnomycin D, -C complex, and actinomycin V against adenosine deaminase were determined to be 9.9 $\times$ 10$^{-6}$ M, 9.6 $\times$ 10$^{-6}$ M and 9.3 $\times$ 10$^{-6}$ M, respectively. The Ki value for the ethylacetate extract of culture broth against adenosine deaminase was determined to be 5.7 $\times$ 10$^{-6}$ M. The kinetic parameters of actinomycin D, -C complex, -V and ethylacetate extract of culture broth for adenosine deaminase were as follows:I$_{50}$ = 1.5 $\times$ 10$^{-5}$ M (actinomycin D), 2.7 $\times$ 10$^{-5}$ M (actinomycin C complex), 3.5 $\times$ 10$^{-5}$ M (actinomycin V), 8.9 $\times$ 10$^{-6}$ M (ethylacetate extract of culture broth). The adenosine deaminase was inhibited noncompetitively by ethylacetate extract of culture broth as well as by actinomycin D, -C complex and actinomycin V.

Evaluation of intracellular uptake of cyclic RGD peptides in integrin αvβ3-expressing tumor cells

  • The cyclic Arg-Gly-Asp (cRGD) peptide is well-known as a binding molecule to the integrin αvβ3 receptor which is highly expressed on activated endothelial cells and new blood vessels in tumors. Although numerous results have been reported by the usage of cRGD peptide-based ligands for cancer diagnosis and therapy, the distinct mechanisms, and functions of cRGD-integrin binding to cancer cells are still being investigated. In this study, we evaluated the internalization efficacy of different types of cRGD peptides (monomer, dimer and tetramer form) in integrin αvβ3 overexpressing cancer cells. Western blot and flow cytometric analysis showed U87MG expresses highly integrin αvβ3, whereas CT-26 does not show integrin αvβ3 expression. Cytotoxicity assay indicated that all cRGD peptides (0-200 µM) had at least 70-80% of viability in U87MG cells. Fluorescence images showed cRGD dimer peptides have the highest cellular internalization compare to cRGD monomer and cRGD tetramer peptides. Additionally, transmission electron microscope results clearly visualized the endocytic internalization of integrin αvβ3 receptors and correlated with confocal microscopic results. These results support the rationale for the use of cRGD dimer peptides for imaging, diagnosis, or therapy of integrin αvβ3-rich glioblastoma.

  • We study the positive $C^1$ function z = f(x, y) defined on the plane ${\mathbb{R}}^2$. For a rectangular domain $[a,b]{\times}[c,d]{\subset}{\mathbb{R}}^2$, we consider the volume V and the surface area S of the graph of z = f(x, y) over the domain. We also denote by (${\bar{x}}_V,\;{\bar{y}}_V,\;{\bar{z}}_V$) and (${\bar{x}}_S,\;{\bar{y}}_S,\;{\bar{z}}_S$) the geometric centroid of the volume under the graph of z = f(x, y) and the centroid of the graph itself defined on the rectangular domain, respectively. In this paper, first we show that among nonconstant $C^2$ functions with isolated singularities, S = kV, $k{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$ characterizes the family of catenary rotation surfaces f(x, y) = k cosh(r/k), $r={\mid}(x,y){\mid}$. Next, we show that one of $({\bar{x}}_S,\;{\bar{y}}_S)=({\bar{x}}_V,\;{\bar{y}}_V)$, $({\bar{x}}_S,\;{\bar{z}}_S)=({\bar{x}}_V,\;2{\bar{z}}_V)$ and $({\bar{y}}_S,\;{\bar{z}}_S)=({\bar{y}}_V,\;2{\bar{z}}_V)$ characterizes the family of catenary rotation surfaces among nonconstant $C^2$ functions with isolated singularities.

두 개 산소가교형 몰리브덴(V) 착물의 합성과 그 성질에 관한 연구 (Synthesis and Characterization of a Di-$\mu$-oxo-bridged Molybdeum(V) Complexes)

  • 두 개 산소가교형의 $[Mo_2O_4(H_2O)_6]_2^+$와 디티오 디카르복시기를 가진 리간드를 반응시켜 $Mo_2O_4(H_2O)_2L(L:\;C_3H_7CH(SCH_2COOH)_2,\;C_6H_5CH(SCH_2COOH)_2,\;CH_3OC_6H_4CH(SCH_2COOH)_2,\;C_5H_{10}C(SCH_2COOH)_2,\;C_3H_7C(CH_3)(SCH_2COOH)_2,\;C_3H_7CH(SCH_2CH_2COOH)_2,\;C_6H_5CH(SCH_2CH_2COOH)_2)$형의 착물을 합성하고 이들 착물의 구조를 분광학적인 방법(IR, $^1H$ NMR, UV-Visible)으로 그 구조를 규명한 결과 한 개의 리간드가 두 몰리브덴 금속에 킬레이트형으로 결합되며 말단 산소간에는 트란스형을 유지하고 있으며 이들 각 말단산소의 트란스에 $H_2O$가 한 개씩 배위되어 있다. 이들 착물들의 산화 환원전위값을 순환 전압전류법으로 수용액상에서 측정한 결과 환원전위는 -0.50∼-0.58 V(vs. SCE) 사이, 산화전위는 -0.41∼-0.43 V(vs. SCE) 사이에서 나타나며 이들 산화-환원 전류비 값이 거의 1에 가깝고 전위차이 값이 0.10 V 정도인 것으로 보아 두 개 산소 가교형의 기본 골격이 유지되는 가역적인 산화-환원 반응으로 추정된다.

THE C-M DIAGRAM OF THE GLOBULAR CLUSTER, NGC 6752

  • The BV-photographic photometry was made for 1714 stars (V<19.5) in NGC 6752. The C-M diagram of this cluster shows an unusually extended blue horizontal branch $(V=13.5{\sim}17.8)$ with a wide gap $(V=16{\sim}16.7)$ and the well defined giant branch with gaps at V=13.85 and 16.2. The turnoff point is defined at $V=17.25{\pm}0.15$ and (B-V) = $0.46{\pm}0.02$. If we take $V_{HB}=13.85$ for NGC 6752, then ${\Delta}V=2.80,\;(B-V)_{0,g}=0.76\;and\;{\Delta}V_{TO}=3.40$ and the chemical abundance is estimated to be [Fe/H]=-1.67 or $Z=4.3{\times}10^{-4}\;and\;Y=0.26$. Some other physical parameters of this cluster are derived and compared with those for the well observed clusters M 3, M 13, M 15 and M 92.

Cyclic perfluoroalkanes(c-PFA)의 분자구조 및 분광학적 성질에 관한 이론 연구 (Theoretical study on the structures and the electron affinities of cyclic perfluoroalkanes (c-PFA))

  • 본 연구는 c-$C_nF_{2n}$ (n=8, 9)과 $C_{10}F_{18}$ (perfluorodecalin)의 가능한 분자구조를 여러 이론 수준에서 최적화 하였으며, 각 화합물의 가장 안정한 분자구조 (global minimum)를 확인하고 전자 친화도를 계산하여 구조적 특성에 따른 전자 친화도와의 상호 연관성을 고찰하였다. 보다 정확한 전자 친화도를 계산하기 위하여 진동주파수를 계산하여 영점 진동 에너지를 보정하였으며, IR 스펙트럼을 예측하였다. 전자 친화도는 c-$C_8F_{16}$의 경우 ortho 위치에 두 개의 $-CF_3$ 치환기가 붙어있는 구조에 대하여 영점 진동 에너지를 보정한 MP2 이론 수준에서 1.18 eV로 계산되었으며, c-$C_9F_{18}$의 경우 하나의 $-CF_3$와 하나의 $-C_2F_5$ 치환기가 인접하여 붙어있는 구조에 대하여 1.37 eV로, 그리고 $C_{10}F_{18}$인 perfluorodecalin의 경우 1.38 eV로 예측되었다.

수송기계 엔진용 3C-SiC 마이크로 압력센서의 제작

  • This paper describes on the fabrication and characteristics of a 3C-SiC (Silicon Carbide) micro pressure sensor for harsh environment applications. The implemented micro pressure sensor used 3C-SiC thin-films heteroepitaxially grown on SOI (Si-on-insulator) structures. This sensor takes advantages of the good mechanical properties of Si as diaphragms fabricated by D-RIE technology and temperature properties of 3C-SiC piezoresistors. The fabricated pressure sensors were tasted at temperature up to $250^{\circ}C$ and indicated a sensitivity of 0.46 mV/V*bar at room temperature and 0.28 mV/V*bar at $250^{\circ}C$. The fabricated 3C-Sic/SOI pressure sensor presents a high-sensitivity and excel lent temperature stability.

EACVD법에 의한 고속도강에의 c-BN박막형성 및 특성에 관하여 (The Characteristics of c-BN Thin Films on High Speed Steel by Electron Assisted Hot Filament C.V.D Systems)

  • The characteristic of interface layer and the effect of bias voltage on the microstructure of c-BN films were studied in the microwave plasma hot filament C.V.D process. c-BN films were deposited on a high speed steel(SKH-51) substrate by hot filament CVD technique assisted with a microwave plasma to develop a high performance of resistance coating tool. c-BN films were obtained at a gas pressure of 20 Torr, vias voltage of 300 V and substrate temperature of $800^{\circ}C$ in $B_2H_6-NH_3-H_2$ gas system. It was found that a thin layer of hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN) phase exists at the interface between c-BN layer and substrate.
