A Design of Flag Based Wrapped Core Linking Module for Hierarchical SoC Test Access (계층적 SoC테스트 접근을 위한 플래그 기반 코아 연결 모듈의 설계)

  • For a System-on-a-Chip(SoC) comprised of multiple IP cores, various design techniques have been proposed to provide diverse test link configurations. In this paper, we introduce a new flag based Wrapped Core Linking Module (WCLM) that enables systematic integration of IEEE 1149.1 TAP'd cores and P1500 wrapped cores with requiring least amount of area overhead compared with other state-of-art techniques. The design preserves compatibility with standards and scalability for hierarchical access.

  • In this paper, the scan conversion processor which converts the triangle represented by three vertices into pixel-level screen coordinates, depth coordinate, and color data is designed. The processor adopts scan-line algorithm which decomposes triangle into horizontal spans and then transforms the span into pixel data. By supporting top-left filling convention, it ensures that triangles that share an edge do not produce any dropouts or overlaps between adjacent polygons. It consists of about 21,400 gates and its maximum operating frequency is about 80 Mhz under 0.35um CMOS technology. Because its maximum pixel rate is about 80 Mpixels/sec, it can be applicable to mobile graphics application.

  • A double rotation C-scanning system and a software program Under-Sodium MultiVIEW have been developed for the under-sodium viewing of a reactor core and in-vessel structures of a sodium-cooled fast reactor KALIMER-600. Double rotation C-scanning system has been designed and manufactured by the reproduction of double rotation plug of a reactor head in KALIMER-600. Hardware system which consists of a double rotating scanner, ultrasonic waveguide sensors, a high power ultrasonic pulser-receiver, a scanner driving module and a multi channel A/D board have been constructed. The functions of scanner control, image mapping and signal processing of Under-Sodium MultiVIEW program have been implemented by using a LabVIEW graphical programming language. The performance of Under-Sodium MultiVIEW program was verified by a double rotation C-scanning test in water.

  • Test Interface Controller (TIC) provided by ARM Ltd. is widely used for functional testing of System-on-Chip (SoC) adopting Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) bus system. Accordingly, this architecture has a deficiency of not being able to concurrently shifting in and out the structural scan test patterns through the TIC and AMBA bus. This paper introduces a new AMBA based Test Access Mechanism (ATAM) for speedy testing of SoCs embedding ARM cores. While preserving the compatability with the ARM TIC, since scan in and out operations can be performed simultaneously, test application time through the expensive Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) can be drastically reduced.

  • For a System-on-a-Chip(SoC) comprised of multiple IP cores, test control techniques have been developed to perform the internal and external test efficiently relying on the various design for testability techniques such as scan and BIST(Built-In Self-Test). However the test area overhead is too expensive to guarantee diverse test link configurations. In this paper, at first we introduce a new flag based Wrapped Core Linking Module(WCLM) that enables systematic integration of IEEE 1149.1 TAP'd cores and P1500 wrapped cores. Then a simple test control technique, which can interconnect internal scan chains of different cores, is described with requiring least amount of area overhead compared with other state-of-art techniques. The design preserves compatibility with standards and scalability for hierarchical access.

Partial Scan Performance Evaluation of Iterative Method of Testability Measurement(ITEM) (시험성 분석 기법(ITEM)의 부분 스캔 성능 평가)

  • Testability analysis computes controllabilities and observabilities of all lines of a circuit and then evaluates fault coverage. The values of controllability and observability as well as fault coverage produced by testability analysis are used for applications of testability analysis. ITEM was evaluated as a fault coverage tool. But the values of controllability and observability at all lines of circuits must be estimated as a performance measure of testability tools for another application such as partial scan. In this paper, partial scan method based on sensitivity analysis which estimates relative improvement of detectability of circuits after scanning a flip-flop is used for performance evaluation of ITEM. Performance of ITEM, with respect to testability values on each net, has been measured by comparing ITEM and STAFAN. Partial scan performance achieved by ITEM is very similar to that of STAFAN, but ITEM takes less CPU time. Therefore ITEM is very efficient for partial scan application because ITEM runs faster for very large circuits in which execution time is critical.

Glomerular Filtration Rate Measurements Using $^{99m}$Technetium-mercaptoacetyltriglycine Dynamic Renal Scintigraphy in Children with Renal Disease (신장 질환이 있는 소아에서 $^{99m}$Technetium-mercaptoacetyltriglycine ($^{99m}Tc$-MAG3) 신장 스캔에 의한 사구체 여과율 측정)

  • Purpose: In children, 24-hour urine collections are unreliable for evaluating glomerular filtration rate (GFR) because of the difficulty of regulating voiding and the daily variation of urinary creatinine up to 25%. Additionally, creatinine clearance (Ccr) based on urinary creatinine is considered inaccurate. The purpose of this study was to compare estimated GFR determined using Ccr, formulas with serum cystatin C and creatinine, and $^{99m}Tc$-mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) dynamic renal scintigraphy. Methods: This retrospective study included 101 patients (age, <18 years) who visited Chung-Ang University Hospital between July 2011 and August 2012. GFR was estimated using 24-hour urinary creatinine, five formulas with serum creatinine and cystatin C, and $^{99m}Tc$-MAG3 renal scan. Results: Of the 101 patients, glomerular renal diseases were present in 60 patients (59.4%) and non-glomerular diseases were present in 41 patients (40.6%). There was a significant correlation between estimated GFR determined using $^{99m}Tc$-MAG3 renal scan and Ccr (r=0.389, P <0.001). The correlation values between estimated GFR determined using $^{99m}Tc$-MAG3 renal scan and each formula of Schwartz, Counahan-Barratt, Cockcroft-Gault, Filler and Lepage, and Bokencamp were 0.265 (P=0.007), 0.128 (P=0.044), 0.230 (P=0.021), 0.356 (P<0.001), and 0.355 (P <0.001), respectively. $^{99m}Tc$-MAG3 renal scan was correlated with estimated-GFR by all formulas in decreased renal function. Conclusion: Estimated GFRs determined using serum creatinine and cystatin C, and $^{99m}Tc$-MAG3 renal scan correlated well with estimated GFR determined using Ccr. $^{99m}Tc$-MAG3 renal scan may be replaced for evaluation of renal function with convenience in patients with renal disease and decreased renal function in childhood.

  • The brilliant achievements in computers and the internet technology make it easy for users to get useful information. But at the same time, the damages caused by intrusions and denial of service attacks are getting more worse. Specially because denial of service attacks by internet worm incapacitate computers and networks, we should draw up a disposal plan against it. So far many rule-based intrusion detection systems have been developed, but these have the limits of these ability to detect new internet worms. In this paper, we propose a system to detect intrusion and generate detection rule against scan-based internet worm, paying attention to the fact that internet worms scan network to infect hosts. The system detects internet worms using detection rule. And if it detects traffic causing by a new scan-based internet worm, it generates new detection nile using traffic information that is gathered. Therefore it can response to new internet worms early. Because the system gathers packet payload, when it is being necessary only, it can reduce system's overhead and disk space that is required.

  • 본 연구는 펄스 반사법을 이용하여 금속 재료 단면의 영상을 얻는데 그 목적이 있다. 기존의 탐 상기는 대부분 A - 스캔 방식으로 결과를 전시하여 검사자가 직접 CRT 상에 나타난 결과를 판독해야 하므로 숙련자라 하더라도 어느정도 오차가 수반되며 판독에 시간이 요하는 등 불편이 따른다. 본 연구 에서는 판독 과정을 자동화함으로써 정확도와 검사 속도를 개선하였으며 탐촉 지점은 스텝핑모터를 이 용하여 일정 간격으로 제어하였다. 도 탐상 결과를 B-스캔 방식으로 영상 처리함으로써 재료 단면의 상 태 파악을 용이하게 하였다.

  • The method of interrupt control is attempted to recognize the button-pushed result from a keyboard scan through control of 30ms appropriate period instead of key scan control method for a microprocessor system. This experimental study shows the reduced processing load of a microprocessor and prevention of the error by an algorithm when the keyboard buttons are both pushed at the same time as we recognize the result of a keyboard scanning by an interrupt method. In addition, an algorithm is provided to recognize the result of scanning by C programming as the keyboard button of a microprocessor system is pushed.
