  • Let A be a $C^*$-algebra and $K_{A}$ its Pedersen's ideal. A is called a PCS-algebra if the multiplier $\Gamma(K_{A})\;of\;K_{A}$ is the multiplier M(A) of A. J. Mack [5]characterized PCS-algebras by weak compactness on the spectrum of A. We give a new simple proof of this Mack's result using the concept of semicontinuity and N. C. Phillips' description of $\Gamma(K_{A})$.

  • For a given $C^{*}$-dynamical system (A, G, .alpha.) with a G-simple $C^{*}$-algebra A (that is A has no proper .alpha.-invariant ideal) many authors have studied the simplicity of a $C^{*}$-crossed product A $x_{\alpha{r}}$ G. In [1] topological freeness of an action is shown to guarantee the simplicity of the reduced $C^{*}$-crossed product A $x_{\alpha{r}}$ G when A is G-simple. In this paper we investigate the pure infiniteness of a simple $C^{*}$-crossed product A $x_{\alpha}$ G of a purely infinite simple $C^{*}$-algebra A and a topologically free action .alpha. of a finite group G, and find a sufficient condition in terms of the action on the spectrum of the multiplier algebra M(A) of A. Showing this we also prove that some extension of a topologically free action is still topologically free.

  • Graph C*-algebras C*(E) are the universal C*-algebras generated by partial isometries satisfying the Cuntz-Krieger relations determined by directed graphs E, and it is known that a simple graph C*-algebra is extremally rich in sense that it contains enough extreme consider a sufficient condition on a graph for which the associated graph algebra(possibly nonsimple) is extremally rich. We also present examples of nonextremally rich prime graph C*-algebras with finitely many ideals and with real rank zero.

  • A characterization of the C-projective vector fields on a Randers space is presented in terms of 𝚵-curvature. It is proved that the 𝚵-curvature is invariant for C-projective vector fields. The dimension of the algebra of the C-projective vector fields on an n-dimensional Randers space is at most n(n + 2). The generalized Funk metrics on the n-dimensional Euclidean unit ball 𝔹n(1) are shown to be explicit examples of the Randers metrics with a C-projective algebra of maximum dimension n(n+2). Then, it is also proved that an n-dimensional Randers space has a C-projective algebra of maximum dimension n(n + 2) if and only if it is locally Minkowskian or (up to re-scaling) locally isometric to the generalized Funk metric. A new projective invariant is also introduced.

  • In this article, we show that for an approximate derivation on a Banach *-algebra, there exist a unique derivation near the an approximate derivation and for an approximate derivation on a $C^*$-algebra, there exist a unique derivation near the approximate derivation.

  • Let A be a Hopf algebra with a linear form ${\sigma}:k{\rightarrow}A{\otimes}A$, which is convolution invertible, such that ${\sigma}_{21}({\Delta}{\otimes}id){\tau}({\sigma}(1))={\sigma}_{32}(id{\otimes}{\Delta}){\tau}({\sigma}(1))$. We define Hopf algebras, ($A_{\sigma}$, m, u, ${\Delta}_{\sigma}$, ${\varepsilon}$, $S_{\sigma}$). If B and C are opposite skew copaired Hopf algebras and $A=B{\otimes}_kC$ then we find Hopf algebras, ($A_{[{\sigma}]}$, $m_B{\otimes}m_C$, $u_B{\otimes}u_C$, ${\Delta}_{[{\sigma}]}$, ${\varepsilon}B{\otimes}{\varepsilon}_C$, $S_{[{\sigma}]}$). Let H be a finite dimensional commutative Hopf algebra with dual basis $\{h_i\}$ and $\{h_i^*\}$, and let $A=H^{op}{\otimes}H^*$. We show that if we define ${\sigma}:k{\rightarrow}H^{op}{\otimes}H^*$ by ${\sigma}(1)={\sum}h_i{\otimes}h_i^*$ then ($A_{[{\sigma}]}$, $m_A$, $u_A$, ${\Delta}_{[{\sigma}]}$, ${\varepsilon}_A$, $S_{[{\sigma}]}$) is the dual space of Drinfeld double, $D(H)^*$, as Hopf algebra.

  • The main goal of this paper is to show the following: Let d and g be (continuous or discontinuous) linear derivations on a Banach algebra A over a complex field C such that $\alphad^3+dg$ is a linear Jordan derivation for some $\alpha\inC$. Then the product dg maps A into the Jacobson radical of A.

  • Let $Let\eta={\eta m}m$ be an eventually constant sequence of unit vectors $\eta m$ in $C^{n}$ and let $\rho$η be the pure state on $UHF_{n}$ algebra which is defined by $\rho\eta(\upsilon_i_1....\upsilon_i_k{\upsilon_{j1}}^*...{\upsilon_{j1}}^*)={\eta_1}^{i1}...{\eta_k}^{ik}{\eta_k}^{jk}...{\eta_1}^{j1}$. We find infinitely many state extensions of $\rho\eta$ to Cuntz algebra $O_n$ using representations and unitary operators. Also, we present theirconcrete expressions.
