CPR education to school students is one of the key points to higher bystander CPR rate. The object of this study is to evaluate the results after CPR education to middel school students by health teachers compared to that of pre-education status. During 3 monthes from Mar. to Jun. 2014, the observation data before and after CPR education were analysed through Chi-square test and McNemar's test using SPSS, SAS programs from 812 middle school students in Busan prov. After stratifying those surveyed by genders and previous CPR education experiences, each stratified groups showed positive changes of statistical significnace in all aspects of the knowledge, will, and self-confidence about CPR. (p<0.05). It is the more desirable method to increase bystander CPR that the CPR education including knowledge and practice was done to middle school students by health teachers. To come true these CPR education, more studies are necessary about policy development to support education tranining tools in a community.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect which may operate within bulling-related experience and bulling conformity types in upper-grade elementary school children. The parameter name is ego-resilience. The participants in this research consisted of 445 upper-grade elementary school children. The main result are the following. First, bulling-related experiences had a direct influence upon bulling conformity types (attacker conformity to the victims. conformity, bystander) without using the parametric ego-resilience. Expecially, the bulling-related experience had a positive relationship with attacker conformity. Second, based on the analysis of the relationship between bulling-related experience and bulling conformity types, using the parametric ego-resilience, it was found out that the bulling-related experience have an effect on bulling conformity types both directly and indirectly. Concretely, the parametric ego-resilience has increased from victim conformity and bystander, but decreased from attacker conformity.
Visitors to Chuwangsan National Park were survayed from August 3 to 5 n 1994. During this time, 346 visitors were contacted. Of those individuals, 65% were males. 63% of respondents reported that they had gone as far as college. 48% were 20 years of age. 97% of the survey respondents had experience to visit other national parks. The largest percentage of respondents were reported that they visited Chuwangsan Nat'1 Park for enjoying natural landscape. In group type, 50% were traveling with their family and 36% with their friends. In activity characteristics, 51% were day-time visitors, and 18% mentioned carrying in their on food. Generally most respondents were very interested in the environmental problem in national parks. The majority of visitors perceived that the environment of Chuwangsan Nat'1 Park were good enough. In six types of normative violations, the major reasons of littering were unintentional violation and releaser-cue violation. Most respondents were not likely to intervene to stop other visitors' depreciative behavior (Bystander intervention behavior). In two dilemmas, the more likely the intention to obey a regulation the less likely the intention to disobey a regulation, and vice-versa.
Visitors to Tokyusan National Park were surveyed from August 9 to 12 During this time, 443 vistors were contacted. Of those individuals, 68.7% were males. 27.5% of respondents reported that they had gone beyond high shcool, and over one-half (64.9%) had gone as far as college. 54.7% were 20 years of age. 42.9% of the survey respondents were making their frist trip to Kuch'ontong and 67.9% to Muju Resort. The largest percentage of respondents were reported that they visited Tokyusan National Park for rippling. In group type, majority were traveling with their friends or family. In activity characteristics, 83.4% were staying over nights visitors, and over 50% mentioned staying at private houses or hotels. In six types of normative violations, major reasons of littering behavior were unintentional violation and releaser-cue violation. Most respondents who witness other visitors' littering were not likely to intervene to stop their visitors' depreciative behavior(Bystander intervention Behavior). Most of visitors want to get more information from national park office.

The popularity of social networking sites (SNS) has facilitated communication between users. The usage of SNS helps users in their daily life in various ways such as sharing of opinions, keeping in touch with old friends, making new friends, and getting information. However, some users misuse SNS to belittle or hurt others using profanities, which is typical in cyberbullying incidents. Thus, in this study, we aim to identify profane words from the ASKfm corpus to analyze the profane word distribution across four different roles involved in cyberbullying based on lexicon dictionary. These four roles are: harasser, victim, bystander that assists the bully, and bystander that defends the victim. Evaluation in this study focused on occurrences of the profane word for each role from the corpus. The top 10 common words used in the corpus are also identified and represented in a graph. Results from the analysis show that these four roles used profane words in their conversation with different weightage and distribution, even though the profane words used are mostly similar. The harasser is the first ranked that used profane words in the conversation compared to other roles. The results can be further explored and considered as a potential feature in a cyberbullying detection model using a machine learning approach. Results in this work will contribute to formulate the suitable representation. It is also useful in modeling a cyberbullying detection model based on the identification of profane word distribution across different cyberbullying roles in social networks for future works.
This study was conducted on 3,418 cases of cardiopulmonary arrest patients' detailed status table (2020, raw data) collected in 2020. Also, it is a retrospective narrative research that investigates and examines related laws and guidelines. The main findings are as follows. First, the implementation rate of 'bystander CPR' was 30.66% (1047 cases) and it was a remarkable result. It can be inferred the quality of the relevant laws and guidelines. Second, 'Public access defibrillation (shock)' accounted for only 0.10%(5 cases). it is considered that the relevant laws and guidelines are weighted towards 'stock and obligation.' Strategic differentiation of response by region is needed. Third, out-of-hospital cardiac arrest occurred at house was 71.97%(2,640 cases). To operate the 'special ambulance team' efficiently, it is necessary to analyze regional data more closely and develop an efficient strategy in the future.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to compare the outcome of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) between National Health Insurance(NHI) and Medical Aid(MA), before (2019) and during 2020 COVID-19 in Seoul. Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study that used nationwide OHCA registry collected in 2019 and 2020. The participants were patients with medical etiology who lived in Seoul and were transferred by 119 ambulance in Seoul. It was classified into NHI and MA according to health insurance status. Main outcomes included survival rate and good neurological recovery. Results: A total of 2,888 patients (2,543 NHI and 345 MA) in 2019 and 2,949 patients (2,638 NHI and 311 MA) in 2020 were included. In 2020, the bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), was significantly lower in MA (25.7%) than in NHI (38.1%). Survival rate in the MA decreased from 11.6% in 2019 to 10.6% in 2020, while increased from 10.1% to 13.3% in NHI. The odds ratio of good neurological recovery were 0.47 (95%CI, 0.25-0.86) for the MA group compared with NHI during 2020 COVID-19. Conclusion: There were disparities in bystander CPR and good neurological recovery by health insurance status during COVID-19 pandemic. Public health interventions should strive to reduce disparity of MA group in OHCA.

The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of chest compression according to the patient body weight and the rescuer's weight when performing chest compression on a cardiac arrest patient that occurred on a home bed. From January 07 to January 19, 2023, 36 paramedic students from N and S universities who completed the KBLS provider curriculum of the Korea Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Association were measured at the subject's knee position, the depth of the mattress being pressed by the weight of the manikin, and the depth of the mattress being pressed by the weight of the manikin were measured during continuous chest compression for 2 minutes. As a result of the study, if a child's cardiac arrest is found at home, the patient is moved to the floor to proceed with chest compression, and the first witness to find an adult cardiac arrest is recommended to proceed on the bed rather than force the patient under the bed to proceed with chest compression.
Usability study of the CU Medical "i-PAD" AED was conducted to validate the usability of the device, primarily focused on the trained user as well as the utility of the training material. Comparing these results of the trained participants to those obtained by Callejas et al. (2004), who studied video-trained users of two commercially available Philips AEDs (FR2 and HS1) using a male manikin only, the participants in this study were more successful (100% vs. 85.7%-FR2 vs. 88.9%-HS1) and faster to shock (58.5s-i-PADvs. 91s-FR2 vs. 90s- HS1). While the focus of this study was on validating ease of use for trained bystanders, the results of the untrained condition showed that, from a usability perspective, these devices perform as well as any other AEDs already approved and available for purchase for untrained bystander use, as evidenced by the comparison to various published research results
