ISO 9000 프로세스 접근법이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effectiveness of Process Approach of ISO 9000 for Business Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of process approach for business performance of a company certified with ISO 9000 : 2000 quality management system. The result of this empirical research were identified as follows. Documentation and an intelligence process appeared with a preference matter in an influence to reach to a business performance of a company through the organization which established a process approach. It reveals that the process approach of quality management system might affect positively for customer satisfaction, product qualify, financial results and cost reduction.

국방 IT융합 비즈니스 모델 사례와 성과 분석 (Case Study and Performance Analysis of IT Convergence Business Models for Defense Sector)

  • Information technology (IT) convergence have been recognized one of the key drivers in the industry perspective. Especially, IT convergence have been one of the most important innovative way for defense sector. Korea government established IT convergence policy in 2008 and have been applying it to the core industry such as automotive, shipbuilding and defense industries. Recently, the creative vitamin project has been launched. Vitamin 'D' means the way to create the value of defense industry. This research analyzes and evaluates various IT convergence business models based on an operation of defense IT convergence center from 2011 to 2014, which is the industry IT convergence centers. Defense IT convergence business models can be classified into four types of mission area as follows : weapon acquisition and management, military intelligence, military power construction, and resources management. We define the concept of defense IT convergence and describe the framework and processes for applying IT to the defense sector. We analyzes and evaluates various business models designed through defense IT convergence framework and processes.

  • Recently, firms have been putting forth significant efforts to fulfill various demands and high expectations of customers. The role and importance of customer centers as a direct contact point for customer relationship management are more emphasized than previously. A customer center draws attention as a new alternative to secure corporate competitiveness as it contributes to sales increase, being in a position to satisfy customers' needs by ensuring customers' access to information. A customer center is an aggregation of various information and communication technologies. In particular, a voice recognition/analysis technology based on big data can elaborate customer services further, enhance customer satisfaction, and trigger constant interactions with customers. A customer center can be transformed to a hub of customer knowledge and the embodiment of business intelligence in the front line of business. This article is a case study on how the customer center of the K life insurance company regarding customer center operation collects and analyzes customer information and how it has established its voice recognition/analysis system based on big data to improve customer experience management. Factors affecting the successful introduction and implementation of voice recognition/analysis system to a firm, are examined.

위조번호판 부착 차량 출입 방지를 위한 인공지능 기반의 주차관제시스템 개선 방안 (A study on the improvement of artificial intelligence-based Parking control system to prevent vehicle access with fake license plates)

  • 최근 인공지능 주차관제시스템은 딥러닝을 활용해 차량 번호판에 대한 인식률을 높이고 있지만 위조번호판 부착 차량을 판별하지 못한다는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 보안상의 문제점이 있음에도 불구하고 현재까지 여러 기관에서 기존의 시스템을 그대로 사용하고 있는 상황이다. 실례로 위조번호판을 이용한 실험에서 정부의 주요 기관을 대상으로 진입에 성공한 사례도 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 위조번호판을 부착한 차량의 출입을 방지하기 위해서 기존 인공지능 주차관제시스템의 개선 방안을 제시한다. 이를 위해 제안하는 방법은 기존 시스템이 차량의 번호판의 일치여부를 통과기준으로 사용하듯이 이미지에서 특징이 되는 특징점의 정보를 추출해내는 ORB 알고리즘을 활용하여 추출한 차량 앞면 특징점들의 매칭 정도를 통과기준으로 사용하는 방법이다. 또한 내부에 차량이 존재하는지 여부를 확인하는 절차를 제안 시스템에 포함시켜 위조번호판을 부착한 동일 차종 차량의 진입도 방지하였다. 실험 결과, 위조번호판을 부착한 차량들의 진입을 막아내며 기존시스템에 비해 위조번호판을 막아내는 개선된 성능을 보였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 기존 인공지능 주차관제시스템의 체계를 유지하면서 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법들을 기존의 주차관제시스템에 적용하여 위조번호판을 부착한 차량의 출입을 방지할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

개인별 상품추천시스템, WebCF-PT: 웹마이닝과 상품계층도를 이용한 협업필터링 (A Personalized Recommender System, WebCF-PT: A Collaborative Filtering using Web Mining and Product Taxonomy)

  • Recommender systems are a personalized information filtering technology to help customers find the products they would like to purchase. Collaborative filtering is known to be the most successful recommendation technology, but its widespread use has exposed some problems such as sparsity and scalability in the e-business environment. In this paper, we propose a recommendation system, WebCF-PT based on Web usage mining and product taxonomy to enhance the recommendation quality and the system performance of traditional CF-based recommender systems. Web usage mining populates the rating database by tracking customers' shopping behaviors on the Web, so leading to better quality recommendations. The product taxonomy is used to improve the performance of searching for nearest neighbors through dimensionality reduction of the rating database. A prototype recommendation system, WebCF-PT is developed and Internet shopping mall, EBIB(e-Business & Intelligence Business) is constructed to test the WebCF-PT system.

  • There is an increasing need to apply artificial intelligence to the real application fields of industry. These include an intelligent process control, an expert machine and a diagnostic and/or maintenance machine. These applications are implemented in AI Languages. It is commonly recognized that AI Languages, such as Common Lisp or Prolog, require a workstation. This is mainly due to the fact that both languages need a large amount of memory space and disk storage space. Workstations are appropriate for a laboratory or office environment. However, they are too bulky to use in the real application fields of industry or business. Also users who apply artificial intelligence to these fields wish to have their own operating systems. We propose a new design method of an intelligent controller which is embedded within equipment and provides easy-to-use tools for artificial intelligence applications. In this paper we describe the new design method of a VMEbus based intelligent controller for artificial intelligence applications and a small operating system which supports Common Lisp and Prolog.

Over the Rainbow: How to Fly over with ChatGPT in Tourism

  • Tourism and hospitality have encountered significant changes in recent years as a result of the rapid development of information technology (IT). Customers now expect more expedient services and customized travel experiences, which has intensified competition among service providers. To meet these demands, businesses have adopted sophisticated IT applications such as ChatGPT, which enables real-time interaction with consumers and provides recommendations based on their preferences. This paper focuses on the AI support-prompt middleware system, which functions as a mediator between generative AI and human users, and discusses two operational rules associated with it. The first rule is the Information Processing Rule, which requires the middleware system to determine appropriate responses based on the context of the conversation using techniques for natural language processing. The second rule is the Information Presentation Rule, which requires the middleware system to choose an appropriate language style and conversational attitude based on the gravity of the topic or the conversational context. These rules are essential for guaranteeing that the middleware system can fathom user intent and respond appropriately in various conversational contexts. This study contributes to the planning and analysis of service design by deriving design rules for middleware systems to incorporate artificial intelligence into tourism services. By comprehending the operation of AI support-prompt middleware systems, service providers can design more effective and efficient AI-driven tourism services, thereby improving the customer experience and obtaining a market advantage.

Are Critical Success Factors of BI Systems Really Unique?

  • Business intelligence has been attracting much attention these days. Despite such popularity of BI systems, it is widely known that about a half of BI system projects have failed. To grasp why many BI projects end in failure and what factors would make BI projects less failure-prone, a number of BI studies were made to produce a variety of CSFs. However, there is a paucity of information on whether these CSFs are distinctive from those of typical information systems. By identifying how BI CSFs differ from CSFs of typical information systems, we would be able to explain why most BI projects are more likely to be failure. It is believed that a corrective measure about CSFs will lead to more success in future BI projects. In addition, though there have been a number of similar types of BI systems such as decision support systems and executive information systems in existence, there was no study to determine whether there is ever a discrimination between CSFs of BI systems and the similarly-titled systems. This study is to answer these questions using a literature review analysis. The findings of our study are expected to be helpful in a successful implementation of BI systems.

과학기술 정책의 과학화 서비스 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Developing Science Service of Science and Technology Policy)

  • The development of science and technology oriented knowledge society accelerates the convergence between scientific theory and industrial technology and increases the complexity problem of social and economic sectors. These cause the difficulty of securing the reliability and objectivity of science and technology policy. These also are barriers of balanced evaluation between rational science and technology policy making, management, and policy coordination. In this regard, Advanced countries in science and technology develops policy support system and promotes the program of evidence-based SciSIP(Science of Science and Innovation policy) together. This paper introduces a new approach developing science service of science and technology policy utilizing business intelligence technology in Korea. Also, it proposes the integration method of policy knowledge base and component-based service supporting S&T policy decision-making process and introduces services case studies.

  • Today's businesses are experiencing intensive global competition and the most accelerating pace of change ever. Competitors have sprung up that were not even on the business's radar. This environment impacts all decisions and strategies as business try to dominate their market or their marker or their industry merely to survive. So recently most of organizations are considering on building the data warehouse system to pursuit the business intelligence. We need the proper model to guide the approach to plan building data warehouse system when we want to plan it in considering the organizational status. Therefore we suggest a model to decide the approach to build data warehouse considering the project's environmental factors. First we review Ronald S. Swift(1998)'s five environmental factors that we have to consider when planing to build data warehouse. Then we propose a model to decide DW approach by the degree of those factors to be measured. DW approaches in this model are classified in conservative approach, increasing approach, enterprise wide approach, and ideal approach.
