Properties of Environmental Friendly Recycled Polymer Concrete (환경친화형 재생 폴리머 콘크리트의 특성)

  • Recently, the study for practical construction application of recycled aggregate concrete is actively being proceeded, on the purpose of technical development for recycling on the construction waste concrete occurred at the time of destruction of building construction by the rapid increase of building wastes and exhaustion of natural aggregates. This study is performed to develop the permeable polymer concrete using recycled coarse aggregate and blast furnace slag for application of structures needed permeability. At 7 days of curing, compressive strength, flexural strength, water permeability and flexural load are in the ragge of $18\~20MPa,\;6\~7MPa,\;4.6\times10^{-2}\~6.9\times10^{-2}cm/s$ and $20\~25kN$, respectively. It is concluded that the recycled aggregate can be used in the permeable polymer concretes.

  • PV(Photovoltaic) system is environmentally friendly power system using solar energy in renewable energy. PV system compared to other renewable energy power generation systems is relatively easy to install, so the dissemination is increasing worldwide. Especially, BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) is a system that PV modules are installed on the building and use renewable energy. But this system is difficult to apply due to the shadow of adjacent buildings and limited installation. In this study, payback period is calculated by Retscreen 2010, that is an economic assessment software of renewable energy, on applied to the bridge of PV system. As results, this study aims at actively considering the application.

  • Concrete made with ground granulated blast-furnace slag(GGBS) has many advantage, including improved durability, workability and economic benefits. GGBS concrete is that its strength development is considerably slower under standard 20℃ curing conditions than that of portland cement concrete, although the ultimate strength is higher for same water-binder ratio. GGBS is not therefore used in application where high early age strength is required. However, hydration of GGBS is much more sensitive to temperatures, the strength development of GGBS concrete is significantly enhanced.

  • Recently freeform buildings which are free from simple shape are implemented depending on improvement of construction method. However, freeform buildings are spent more time and cost to materialize than typical form. Because molds for production of freeform shape cannot be reused. For these reasons, low productivity, delay of construction schedule and budget overflow are occurred. Thus, technology of molds need to be developed for manufacturing of freeform concrete segments. The objective of this study is manufacturing of freeform concrete segments using rod type mold. This technology can implement not only application to various shape but also mass production. Thus, problems of construction period, productivity and cost can be solved. After this study, productivity analysis should be continued through the field application.

  • This paper present the application and construction characteristics of Ultra-High Strength Concrete on Samsung Sin Dae-Bang Housing-Commercial Combined building with 28 story including 8 story basement in seoul. 1200kg/ $\textrm{cm}^2$compressive strength has been placed for paraphet at lst floor for experimental purposes. 420kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ design strength concrete was used for other basement and frame up to 10th floor which is used for commercial purposes.

  • This paper aims to introduce a concept of the integrated structural design for the tall building using STEP(Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data). STEP(ISO 10303) is an international standard for the computer-interpretable representation and exchange of product data and it provides a consistent data exchange format and application interfaces between different application systems. The structural systems for tall buildings are often controlled by the need to restrict wind responses at serviceability levels. In this study. the STEP entities for serviceability evaluation are proposed.

  • The proper use of the passive and active design elements are important for the realization of green buildings. The G-SEED (Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design) has been implemented in Korea to promote green building construction reflecting these design elements. In this paper, evaluation items of G-SEED which related to the passive design were selected. And improvement direction for the G-SEED was proposed through the analysis of the application status of the passive design elements for the G-SEED certified buildings. This results can be used for developing study on the future improvement of the assessment criteria of G-SEED.

  • Nowadays, various grades of high-strength steels are available. The application of ultra-high grades of steels for building structures, however, is limited only to the elements stressed under tension. The highest grade of steels generally used has a tensile strength of around 600N/mm2. Most research is focused on lower yield ratios of high strength steel in the inelastic range to ensure the stability of structures. In this paper, however, the possibility of an effective application of high strength steel with high yield ratio to building structures is discussed. An efficient structural system and a design method based on earthquake response analysis and experimental results are proposed.

  • The purpose of this case study is to reduce the flaw and reconstruction occur at the level of construction by determining the propriety of estimate and error on a drawing and specification at working design level through case studies of BIM application at the level of design review. As a preliminary to apply BIM technology, it is needed to review the drawing, and then it is required to define BIM range by selecting the section in which construction error occurs frequently except for the type of part that is constructed repeatedly. At the execution level, the drawing is reviewed vertically, horizontally and spatially by proceeding structure and finish modeling on the defined BIM range, and also the propriety of estimate and error on the drawing and specification are examined. We aim to raise the completion rate, improve quality of construction, reduce the cost for construction and shorten period of construction by preparing for the error on the drawing and specification in advance through this review procedures.

  • In this search, by evaluating the field applicability of soil mixed pavement of Red mud is mixed into the soil mixed pavement field applicability, and tries to present the basic data about the site application of recycling of red mud and low carbon construction material to. As a result, the conventional soil concrete organization standards (SPS-KSCICO-001: 2003) meets the criteria for parking lot, making use of red mud, natural color as well as the natural loess is expressed.
