원판형 마이크로스트립 패치를 기본 소자로 하여 준 대수 주각형 광대역 마이크로스트립 안테나를 설계한다. 각 방사소자들은 종단이 개방된 주급전 마이크로스트립 선로상에서 정합선로를 통하여 직열 급전된다. 설계 제작된 안테나의 정재파비는 주파수 2.72∼3.43GHz 범위내에서 약 2.3이하로 됨이 실험적 결과로 나타났다.

Viterbi decoder는 크게 BM(Branch metric), ACS(Add-Compare-Select), SM(Survivor Memory) block 으로 구성되어 있다. 이중 ACSU 부분은 고속 데이터 처리를 위한 bottleneck이 되어 왔으며, 이의 해결을 위한 많은 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. look ahead technique은 ACSU를 M-step으로 처리하고 CS(Carry save) number를 사용한 새로운 비교 알고리즘을 제안하여 high throughput을 추구했으며, minimized method는 block processing 방식으로 forward, backward 방향으로 decoding을 수행하여 ACSU 부분의 feedback을 완전히 제거하여 exteremely high throughput 을 추구하고 있다. 이에 대해 look ahead technique 의 기본 PE(Processing Element)를 바탕으로 minimized method 알고 리즘의 core block 을 bit-level 로 구현하였으며 : code converter 를 이용하여 CS number 가운데 redundat number(l)를 제거하여 비교기를 더 간단히 하였다. SYNOPSYS의 Design compiler 와 TSMC 0.18 um library 를 이용하여 합성하였다.

A coupled experimental-numerical study on shear fracture in concrete specimens with different geometries is carried out. The crack initiation, propagation and final breakage of concrete specimens are experimentally studied under compression loading. The load-strain and the strength of the specimens are experimentally measured, indicating decreasing effects of the shear behavior on the failure load of the specimen. The effects of specimen geometries on the shear fracturing path in the concrete specimens are also investigate. Numerical models using an indirect boundary element method are made to evaluate the crack propagation paths of concrete specimens. These numerical results are compared with the performed experiments and are validated experimentally.

A goat ${\beta}$-casein gene was cloned and sequenced. Our previous study had determined the nucleotide sequences of the 5' flanking region and the structural gene including all 9 exons. In the present study, investigations were done on the regulatory sequences in the 5' flanking region of the goat ${\beta}$-casein gene by aligning and comparing it with the same gene from other mammals. The results showed that -200/-1 bp of the 5' flanking sequences contained six conserved clusters, in which the sites of gene expression regulated by the transcription factor and hormone might exist. It showed that fourteen glucocorticoid receptor elements, two cAMP responsive elements, two SV40 virus enhancer core sequences, two OCT-1 binding elements and one CTF/NF-1 binding element were dispersed in the 5' flanking region of goat ${\beta}$-casein gene. Our findings are perhaps valuable for the elucidation of the molecular mechanisms that control the expression of the goat ${\beta}$-casein gene.

In this paper, we were designed the ferroelectric phase shifter using 3-dB, $90^{\circ}$ branch-line hybrid coupler with two ports terminated in symmetric phase-controllable reflective networks. The design of phase shifter is based on reflection theory of terminating circuits. In order to find the optimum conditions of reflect phase, the effect of a change of capacitance and transmission line connected with two coupled ports of a coupler have been investigated. To obtain more accurate design parameters, finite element method is applied. We were showed large phase variation with small capacitance variation in the parallel connection of capacitor and transmission line by using EM-simulation and circuit-simulation.

The paper describes the relationship between the eigenvalue branches and the corresponding flutter modes of cantilevered pipes with a tip mass conveying fluid. Governing equations of motion are derived by extended Hamilton's principle, and the numerical scheme using finite element method is applied to obtain the discretized equations. The flutter configurations of the pipes at the critical flow velocities are drawn graphically at every twelfth period to define the order of quasi-mode of flutter configuration. The critical mass ratios, at which the transference of the eigenvalue branches related to flutter takes place. are definitely determined. Also, in the case of haying internal damping, the critical tip mass ratios, at which the consistency between eigenvalue braches and quasi-modes occurs. are thoroughly obtained.

The paper presents the relationship between the eigenvalue branches and the corresponding flutter modes of cantilevered pipes conveying fluid. The pipes are located on elastic foundations which can be regarded as a soil model. In this paper, elastic foundations are assumed as linear distributed translational springs. Governing equations of motion are derived by extended Hamilton's principle, and the numerical scheme using finite element method is applied to obtain the discretized equations. The critical How velocity and stability maps of the pipe are investigated according to the variation of elastic foundation parameters, mass ratios of the pipe and internal damping Parameter. Also, the vibrational modes associated with flutter are shown.

Environmental furniture comprises an independent design branch as distinguished from he design of street furniture. Environmental furniture helps people enjoy outdoor relaxation and cultural activities by creating convenient facilities and plays a part as the medium connecting environment and living. As a tool effecting all outdoor living conditions including home and public environment, it helps people lead a convenient and safe outdoor life. It is an important element that contributes to the image of outdoor scenery. Therefore, the design of environmental furniture should : 1)consider environment including 3R(Recycle, Reuse and Reduce) which makes harmony with nature without destroying it. 2)seek qualitative improvement by using environmental friendly materials and continuously developing new materials. 3)be assisted by the administrative support from the government to make the environmental furniture design an integral part of the city plan. The quality of a city environment will be greatly improved when people's interest in and their changed view towards environmental furniture is effected.

본 연구에서는 구조물의 안전성을 평가하는 방법으로써 구조시스템 신뢰성 해석방법을 살펴보고 소성설계 관점에서 선체중앙단면의 안전성을 평가하고자 한다 이를 위해 소성붕괴모드는 가상하중법과 하중증분법을 이용한 탄소성 구조해석법으로 구하고, 확률론적으로 중요한 붕괴모드는 branch and bound 방법을 변형하여 소성붕괴모드를 형성하는 마지막 소성힌지단계에서 branching하는 방법을 적용하여 붕괴모드가 반복 생산되는 문제를 개선하였다. 이렇게 구한 붕괴모드를 이용하여 1,2차 bound방법으로 선체횡단면의 시스템 신뢰도 및 시스템 파괴확률을 구하고 본 연구에서 제시한 방법의 유효성을 붕괴하중 계수방법과 비교 검토하였다.

In this paper we introduce the pointfree version of rough sets. For this we consider a lattice L instead of the power set P(X) of a set X. We study the properties of lower and upper pointfree approximation, precise elements, and their relation with prime elements. Also, we study lower and upper pointfree approximation as a Galois connection, and discuss the relations between partitions and Galois connections.
