도정 및 품종혼합에 의한 고아미2호의 취반특성 (Improvement of Cooking Properties by Milling and Blending in Rice Cultivar Goami2)

  • 난소화성 다당류의 함량이 높은 고아미2호의 취반특성 개선 및 식미 향상을 목적으로 수행한 연구결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 취반이 어려운 것으로 알려진 고아미2호는 가루로 1차 호화시킨 후에도 미세전분입자는 호화되지 않은 것으로 나타나 일반적인 취반방법으로는 식미개선에 어려움이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 도정에 의해서 색, 물성 및 호화특성의 변화를 살펴 보았으나 명도와 백도 이외에는 도정율에 따른 유의한 특성 변화는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 상온수분흡수특성을 통해 고아미2호 최소 1시간 이상의 수침시간을 필요로 하며 관능평가를 통해 이 경우 식미가 더 양호함을 확인할 수 있었다. 3. 품종별 호화 및 취반특성을 비교해 본 결과 고아미2호의 호화개시온도가 $88^{\circ}C$로 매우 높고 일반 밥솥에서 취반할 경우 수분흡수율과 팽창용적이 적은 것으로 보아 취반 방법에 있어서 고온고압이 요구되는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 다른 품종과의 혼합을 통한 식미 혹은 물성 개선을 위해 아밀로스 함량이 다른 일품벼, 백진주, 화선찰벼를 비교한 결과 호화가 늦고 경도가 낮으며 노화특성이 양호한 백진주, 화선찰벼가 일품벼에 비해 더 적합할 것으로 예상되었고, 관능 평가를 통해 두 품종이 일품벼에 비해 전반적으로 더 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

재생 아스팔트 콘크리트 혼합물의 혼합방법 개선에 따른 피로저항 특성 (Characteristics of Fatigue Resistance of Recycled Asphalt Concretes by Modified Mixing Process)

  • 본 논문은 가열 재생아스팔트 혼합물의 공용성능 향상을 위한 혼합방법 개발 연구의 일부분이다. 기존 재생혼합물 혼합방법은 재생혼합물 내에서 기존의 노화된 바인더가 균등히 회생되지 않다는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 새로이 개발된 혼합방법은 회수 아스팔트 포장의 기존 바인더를 기존 재생 혼합방법보다 회수 아스팔트 포장 재료에 묻어 있는 노화된 바인더를 훨씬 많이 회생시켜 재생 혼합물에서 보다 더 균일한 바인더의 점도상태가 되도록 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 새로이 개발된 혼합 방법으로 제조된 재생아스팔트 혼합물의 피로저항 특성을 평가하는 것이다. 두 종류 골재(편마암, 화강암), RAP 15%, LDPE의 두 가지 첨가량(0, 6%)를 이용하였으며, 혼합방법은 바인더의 불균등 상태를 개선하기 위한 두 가지 방법, 즉 일반적인 기존의 O 방법과 새롭게 개발한 N 방법을 이용하였다. 혼합방법에 따른 피로저항성을 평가하기 위하여 혼합방법에 따라 제작한 재생 혼합물의 피로시험을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 피로수명은 O 방법 혼합물이 가장 길고 그 다음이 N 방법이고 control이 가장 낮았다. 또한 장기노화 후 N 방법 혼합물의 균열에 대한 저항성이 O 방법 혼합물에 비해 상대적으로 높아지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

최적 극점 배치를 이용한 비선형 시스템의 퍼지 제어기 (Fuzzy Controller for Nonlinear Systems Using Optimal Pole Placement)

  • 본 논문에서는 확장된 병렬 분산 보상기와 최적 극점 배치 방법을 사용한 비선형 시스템의 퍼지 모델 기반 제어기의 분석과 설계 방법을 제안한다. 설계과정을 설명하면 먼저비선형 시스템을 Takagi-Sugeno 퍼지 모델로 표현하고 확장된 병렬 분산 보상기를 사용하여 제어기 규칙을 작성한다. 그리고 최적 극점 배치 방법을 사용하여 국소 상태 궤환 제어기를 설계하고 이를 이용하여 전체의 퍼지논리제어기를 설계한다. 기존의 사용된 병렬 분산 보상기와는 다르게 본 논문에서 새로이 개발된 확장된 병렬 분산 보상기와 최적 극점 배치 방법을 이용함으로써 안정한 국소 퍼지 제어기의 설계뿐만 아니라 추적 제어 목적도 수행할 수 있는 전체의 안정한 퍼지 제어기도 설계할 수 있다. 게다가 전체 퍼지 모델 뿐만 아니라 실제 비선형 시스템에 대해서도 안정도 분석을 행하였다 마지막으로 제안된 퍼지 모델 기반 제어기 설계 방법의 효율성과 가능성을 하나의 시뮬레이션 예를 통하여 증명하였다.

국내 유통 바이오디젤 및 바이오디젤 혼합연료의 산화열화 연구 (A Study on Evaluation of Oxidation Degradation of Bidiesel and Biodiesel Blended Fuel Distributing in Domestic)

  • In this study, we suggested effective countermeasure of biodiesel oxidation problems by investigating the oxidation degradation of biodiesels derived from variable resources and the level of oxidation stability of current distributing biodiesel blended fuels (2%) in Korea, and oxidation stability change according to storage time (for 3 month) and biodiesel blending ratio (2, 5, 7, 10%). By the composition analysis results of biodiesel from various resources which are possible to distribute in Korea, the biodiesel from animal fat has poor oxidation stability and cold performance, while the biodiesel from coconut and palm kernel which are considered as future potential raw material showed good oxidation stability and cold performance. The oxidation stability level of current distributing biodiesel blended fuels in Korea was excellent with showing over 30 hours (average 68 hours) stability, but the oxidation stability of the blended fuel with animal fat biodiesel having poor oxidation property (1.22 hours) was rapidly decreased to below 32 hours by mixing only 2%. Therefore, we have to pay attention to quality control of oxidation property, because the oxidation stability problem can be caused by increasing biodiesel blending ratio and diversifying raw materials those have worse property.

INLINE NEAR INFRARED (NIR) SPECTROSCOPY FOR PROCESS CONTROL IN POLYMER EXTRUSION

  • Extrusion is one of the most important processes in polymer industry. The characterization of the polymer melt during processing will improve this process noticeably, One possibility of characterizing the actual processed polymer melt is the inline near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, With this method several polymer properties can be observed during processing, e.g. composition, moisture ormechanical properties of the melt. For this purpose probes for transmission and reflection measurements have been developed, withstanding the high temperatures and pressures appearing during extrusion process (tested up to 300$^{\circ}C$ and 10 ㎫). For the transmission system an optical bypass was developed to eliminate disturbing spectral influences and hence increase the long term stability, which is the prerequisite for an industrial application. Measurements in transmission and reflection produced comparable results (or blending processes, where the prediction error was less than 1%. An optimum RMSEP of only 0.24% was found for preprocessed polymer blends measured in transmission on a laboratory extruder. A transflection measurement allowed for the first time the recording of relevant NIR-spectra in the screw area of an extruder. The application to a (PE+PP) blending process delivered promising results. This new measurement mode allows the observation of the ongoing processes within the screw area, which is of maximum Interest for reactive extrusion processes. Due to economic reasons the calibration transfer between different extrusion systems is also of high importance. Investigations on simulated and real-world spectra showed that a calibration transfer is possible. A new method alternatively to the well-known direct standardization procedures was developed, which is based on an automatic data pretreatment. This procedure delivers comparable results for the calibration transfer. Overall this paper presents concepts, components and algorithms for the inline near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy for polymer extrusion, which allows the use of it in a real industrial extrusion process.

  • This study was carried out in order to investigate the effect of pigment properties in a pre-coating layer on the characteristics of a top-coating layer and the print mottle of the coated paper. Five different pigments were applied for this study as raw materials for the pre-coating layer. The properties and print mottle of the coated paper samples were evaluated according to the coating color formulation. Type of pigments appliied in a pre-coating layer was one of the most important factor to control the properties of pre and top coating layer. Surface properties of pre and top coated paper were improved by blending GCC which had smaller particle size, with clay. Properties of a top-coating layer was affected by the pigment properties used in the pre-coating layer. It was found that print mottle of coated paper can be improved by replacing part of GCC with smaller particle size GCC or clay in pre-coating layer.

P3HT:PCBM 층 내 분산 가능한 금속 나노입자의 제조 및 이를 포함한 고분자 태양전지 소자의 특성에 관한 연구 (Synthesis of Highly Dispersible Metal Nanoparticles in P3HT:PCBM Layers and Their Effects on the Performance of Polymer Solar Cells)

  • In this study, we prepare polymer solar cells incorporating organic ligand-modified Ag nanoparticles (O-AgNPs) highly dispersed in the P3HT:PCBM layer. Ag nanoparticles decorated with water-dispersible ligands (WAgNPs) were also utilized as a control sample. The existence of the ligands on the Ag surface was confirmed by FT-IR spectra. Metal nanoparticles with different surface chemistries exhibited different dispersion tendencies. O-AgNPs were highly dispersed even at high concentrations, whereas W-AgNPs exhibited significant aggregation in the polymer layer. Both dispersion and blending concentration of the Ag nanoparticles in P3HT:PCBM matrix had critical effects on the device performance as well as light absorption. The significant changes in short-circuit current density ($J_{SC}$) of the solar cells seemed to be related to the change in the polymer morphology according to the concentration of AgNPs introduced. These findings suggested the importance of uniform dispersion of plasmonic metal nanoparticles and their blending concentration conditions in order to boost the solar cell performance.

Epoxy/Phenolic resin을 활용한 메타-아라미드 시트지와 금속 소재의 내열접착성 향상 (Improvement of Heat Resistant of Adhesion between m-Aramid Sheet and Metal Materials using Epoxy/Phenolic Resin)

  • This study tried to analyze the heat resistance properties by blending epoxy and phenolic resin in a certain ratio, and to analyze the adhesive properties at the time of metal-polymer hetero-adhesion by applying Epoxy-phenolic resin between a silicon steel sheet and m-aramid sheet, the viscosity, adhesive peel strength, and adhesive cross section were measured using a rotational rheometer, a tensile tester(UTM), and a field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM). The thermal stability and heat resistance were confirmed by measuring the mass loss according to the temperature increase using Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). After blending with epoxy and Phenolic resin(1:0.25 ratio) curing at 110℃ for 10 min, high adhesive strength was improved more than 40% compared to the adhesive strength using epoxy alone. When the space between the silicon steel sheet and m-aramid sheet, which is created during curing of the E-P blend, is cured with a slight weight, it is possible to control the empty space and improve adhesion.

팽윤 능력이 다른 고흡수성수지(Super Absorbent Polymers)의 혼합 비율별 모래 토양의 물리화학성 변화 (Enhancement of Soil Physicochemical Properties by Blending Sand with Super Absorbent Polymers of Different Swelling Capacities)

  • Super absorbent polymers (SAPs) are hydrophilic molecules that can absorb large amounts of water. This study was conducted to investigate the enhancement of the physicochemical properties of sand soil blended with three SAPs imbibed with 100, 150, and 200-fold water. Three treatments were applied, namely, 100SAP, 150SAP, and 200SAP. The three SAPs were blended at concentrations of 0% (control), 3%, 5%, 7%, and 10% with sand. The pH, electrical conductivity, and cation exchangeable capacity (CEC) of soil blended with the three SAPs were pH 6.35-6.46, 0.09-0.65 dS/m, and 1.42-1.92 cmolc/kg, respectively, and their capillary porosity, total porosity, and saturated hydraulic conductivity were 21.0-29.3%, 39.2-48.7%, and 272-470 mm/hr. CEC, capillary porosity, total porosity, and saturated hydraulic conductivity of soil were positively correlated with the ratio of the SAPs (p<0.01). These results indicate that blending sand soil with SAPs increased CEC, capillary porosity, and saturated hydraulic conductivity, thus improving the nutrient-retention capacity, water-retention capacity, and permeability of the soil.

관절염환자의 동통, 우울 및 삶의 만족도에 대한 아로마 요법 (The Effects of Aromatherapy on Pain, Depression, and Life Satisfaction of Arthritis Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of aromatherapy on pain, depression, and feelings of satisfaction in life of arthritis patients. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group, pre-and post-test. The sample consisted of 40 patients, enrolled in the Rheumatics Center, Kangnam St. Mary's Hospital, South Korea. The essential oils used were lavender, marjoram, eucalyptus, rosemary, and peppermint blended in proportions of 2:1:2:1:1. They were mixed with a carrier oil composed of almond (45%), apricot(45%), and jojoba oil(10%) and they were diluted to 1.5% after blending. The data were analyzed using an 2-test, Fisher's exact test, t-test and paired t-test. Result: Aromatherapy significantly decreased both the pain score and the depression score of the experimental group compared with the control group. However, aromatherapy didn't increase the feeling of satisfaction in life of the experimental group compared with the control group. Conclusion: The result of this study clearly shows that aromatherapy has major effects on decreasing pain and depression levels. Based on our experiment's findings, we suggest that aromatherapy can be a useful nursing intervention for arthritis patients.
