Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression and Scheff$\acute{e}$ post-hoc analysis by SPSS 18.0. Results: First, in regard to bioethics, significant factors were liking for growing plants (p<.001), emotions after killing insects (p<.001) and the number of friends (p=.003). In regard to bullying experiences, significant factors were gender (p=.021), religion (p=.026), participation in religious activity (p=.019), liking for growing plants (p=.009), insect killing experience (p=.009). The bioethics score of the victim group (2.70 point) were higher than the bully group (2.49 point). The relationship between bully/victim experiences and bioethics was negative. The factors affecting bioethics were liking for growing plants (${\beta}=.159$, p=.004), the number of friends (${\beta}=.124$, p=.030), experiences of being bullied (${\beta}=.352$, p<.001), emotions after killing insects (${\beta}=-.135$, p=.011). Conclusion: Therefore, based on the results of this study, it is required to develop rich learning content and a variety of teaching and learning models for bioethics. Efficient bioethics program would help elementary school students have a higher bioethics awareness. The entire society and families should wake up to the evil effects of school bullying and make concerted efforts to root it out with a sense of responsibility.
Health policy is a historical product in the process of development, including the political and economic factors of the state as well as the social and cultural elements of the country. Bioethics began to debate the ethical questions that arise in the overall process of life's birth and death, and gradually evolved by presenting ethical directions for various social phenomena. Especially, according to the moral awakening of 'scientific medicine' which caused in some human problems in the rapidized scientific society from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, as a result of distress including the concept of various social relations, it is possible to say that it has reached the bioethics. Although health policy and bioethics are different in terms of starting and concept, they can be found in common with social, cultural, and political diversity in the times. In 2004, 'Bioethics Law' was enacted through the issue of research ethics in the life sciences. Therefore, in order to examine ethical aspects of current health policy direction and major issues, it can be divided into before and after enactment of 'Bioethics Law' in 2004. The authors would like to examine how the evolution of the ethical viewpoint on the health policy has changed in line with the enactment of the 'Bioethics Law' and how it is trying to solve it from an ethical point of view. Through the various events that took place in the 1990s and the 2000s, various discussions on bioethics were conducted in Korea. Prior to the enactment of the 'Bioethics Law,' ethical judgments of professions, distribution of healthcare resources, if the discussion focused on the ethical judgment of abortion, and the various events that appeared in the early 2000s became the beginning to inform that the ethical debate about the life, death, and dignity of human beings began in earnest in Korea with the enactment of the 'Bioethics Law.' Since then, 'Hospice and Palliative care Law' which was enacted in 2017, is based on the fact that the health policy of our country focuses on the treatment of the past diseases, health promotion, and delivery of health care services. It was an opportunity to let them know that even the quality problems were included. Therefore, considering the various circumstances, the ethical issue facing Korea's health care system in the future is the change of the demographic structure due to aging and what is to be considered as the beginning and the process of life in the overall process of life. It is the worry about how to die and when it sees as death. This has far exceeded the paradigm of traditional health care policies such as disease prevention and management and health promotion, and calls for innovative policy response at the national level that reflects the new paradigm, which in many cases creates a predictable ethical environment. And health policy should be shifted in the direction of future ethical review considering sustainability in the development process of future health care rather than coercive management.
Following are the view points from the Bioethics on the foundation of the theory of material basis & vital and mental activities (精氣神) ; the whole idenity of the human is observed both materially and morally. The questions of the start and origination on the human life are the principal subject on the bioethics, and therefore the opinions on the bioethics on the foundation of the theory of material basis & vital and mental activities (精氣神) persist that the start and origination on the human life is the time of fertilization. The social issues as the abortion and suicide must judged basically on the bioethics on the foundation of the theory of material basis & vital and mental activities (精氣神).
The medical profession has the problem of lack of bioethics, due to the expansion of capitalism and mannerism after modernization. Therefore, the need of education of bioethics is increasing, however, the cramming system of education is insufficient for promoting personal morals. So the author studied ancient and present bioethics and searched for the cause of current bioethics absence and the method of overcoming it. Especially, studying the vocational features of oriental medical doctor as profession and the problems of education of bioethics in oriental medical college, the author searched for the directions of educations of bioethics. The conclusions are as follows. The current medical profession have ethical problems because of social moral hazard, evils of capitalism, change of doctor-patient relationship due to expansion of consumerism, limitation of autonomy due to commercialize of hospitals, decrease of knowledge monopolism of professionals, moral indifference and frailty, and a missdeed preference. The education of bioethics needs "Rest's 4 components" but the current education of bioethics in oriental medicine college lacks of time and is composed of the cramming system of education. So it needs various types of education system. Morals are subjective and discretionary personal character. Therefore, informational education is insufficient for enhancing morals and complex education for various personal attainments (various social indirect experience, philosophical speculation, mental serenity) is needed. It has to be done on the basis of educational method by experience not lecture, long term expectation, and basic understanding of bioethics.
This study aims to examine primary school teachers' interest and understanding of bioethical issues, and to analyze their perception of bioethics teaching in the primary school education. For this purpose, the questionnaires were constructed. The data were collected from 553 primary teachers in the whole country. Major findings of the studys are as follows. First, most primary school teachers showed high level of interest about bioethical issues, but they had the limited understanding about bioethical issues. Primary teachers showed the highest interest about' respect for human life' and the lowest understanding of 'awareness of current biotechnology' Second, the prior reasons why primary teachers wanted to teach specific bioethical issues in the classes were that 'they were closely related to social phenomena' and 'they were appropriate for enhancing students' awareness of the value of life'. Third, the lack of the teachers' knowledge about bioethics and limited supply of teaching materials were found to be barriers, which prevent them from teaching bioethical issues. The implications of these results are discussed for the improvement of bioethics teaching in primary school education.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the role of life stress in the relation between health behaviors and bioethics awareness among paramedic students. Methods: This study recruited 238 paramedic students in F and R areas as participants. Multiple regression analysis was performed using Baron and Kenny's three-step procedure. Results: In the first stage, health behaviors had a significant effect on life stress (β=-.202, p<.01). In the second stage, health behaviors had a significant effect on bioethics awareness (β=.240, p<.001). In the third stage, life stress had a significant influence on bioethics awareness (β=-.167, p<.01). In the fourth stage, the regression coefficient of the third stage (β=.137) was less than that of the second stage (β=.159). In addition, when controlling for life stress, health behavior was shown to affect bioethics awareness (β=.206, p<.01). The mediating effect of life stress was found to be significant in the relation between health behavior and bioethics awareness (Z=2.04, p<.05). Conclusion: As health behavior is a factor that affects bioethics awareness through the mediation of living stress, universities should prepare training programs to improve the health behavior and reduce the life stress among students.
Purpose: This study aims to determine the bioethical subjectivity of nursing students with experience volunteering in elderly care facilities, and the characteristics that comprise the types thereof. Methods: Q methodology, which analyzes the subjectivity of each type, was used. The 37 selected Q statements from 32 participants were classified into the shape of a normal distribution using a 9-point scale. The collected data were analyzed using the PC-QUANL program. Results: The survey revealed that the bioethical subjectivity of nursing students with experience volunteering in elderly care facilities can be divided into three types: a rational dignity emphasis, an autonomous right to life belief, and conflict avoidance. All three attitudes regard human beings as possessing dignity, and life and death as elements to be experienced as aspects of human life. Bioethical values are critical to treatment and care; however, it is sometimes also held that humans have the right to commit suicide. Conclusion: This study enhanced our awareness of nursing students' bioethics. The findings can be used as a basis for the design of differentiated bioethics education according to each type of bioethical subjectivity. This calls for diverse research on bioethics and the implementation of effective bioethics education.
