  • The bicycle production process mainly consists of welding process of pipes and its quality is determined by geometrical symmetry of arrangement of welded pipes. Hence, manual quality control of bicycle frames was very inefficient and required much time in dimentional inspection and does not reserve high precision. In this paper we introduce a method of fast and accurate dimensional inspection of bicycle frame using the Stereo Vision system and related some image processing techniques.

종류별 이륜차 프레임에 대한 구조해석 (Structural Analysis for Bicycle Frame by Type)

  • This study aims to analyze durability by comparing displacement on vibration at driving bicycle frame models of 1, 2, 3 and 4. Among maximum equivalent stresses at 4 kinds of models, model 1 has highest value with 410.39 MPa and becomes 30 times than model 4 with lowest value. The natural frequency number at Model 4 increases more than the other models. Among four models, the number of frequency at model 1 becomes lowest at harmonic vibration with real loading condition. In cases of four kinds of models, the maximum stress is shown near the assembly of rear wheel and the maximum displacement is shown near saddle assembly at this harmonic condition. The structural result about this study can be effectively utilized on the design of bicycle frame by investigating durability and prevention against its damage.

  • 탄소섬유가 차세대 자전거 프레임의 소재로 자리잡아감에 따라 각 제조사별로 탄소섬유 프레임 개발을 위한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있으며, 현재도 탄소섬유의 강성, 내구성, 충격흡수, 경량화, 강도를 중시하며 개발되고 있다. 또한 탄소섬유 자전거모델은 고가 제품으로써, 이에 맞는 개성적이고 차별화된 디자인 컨셉의 제품이 필요하며, 기본적으로 요구되는 구조 역학적 프레임의 개발이 중요하고, 안전성과 조형성이 뛰어난 제품개발과 무엇보다도 자기만의 아이덴티티(Identity)가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 소비자 요구의 조사연구와 이미지 분석의 과정을 통해 개성적이고 통일된 이미지를 도출하였고, 본 디자인 개발에서는 최근 수요가 급증하고 있는 로드형 자전거를 타켓으로 잡아 탄소섬유를 소재로 한 자전거 프레임 디자인을 개발하고 제안하였다.

성인용 자전거의 승용차량 충돌특성 (Collision Characteristics of an Adult Bicycle to a Car)

  • In the present the usage of bicycle has increased steeply due to well-being and convenient way of movement. In car to bicycle accident, the throw distance of bicycle is very important factor for estimating collision situation. In this study, simulations and collision tests in actual car to bicycle were executed for obtaining throw distance of bicycle. The simulations were executed by PC-CRASHTM s/w with vehicle of sedan type. Sand bags were used for the behavior of bicyclist instead of dummy and factors considered were vehicle velocity, the crashed angles and part of bicycle to vehicle, and bicycle was adult type. From the results, the throw distances of tire collision of 00 was longer than that of 450 tire crash, and the throw distances of 900 frame crash were longer than those of 450 frame crash. With based on actual crash tests and simulations, restitution coefficient of between vehicle and bicycle was estimated as 0.1. Finally the increaser vehicle velocity the longer the throw distances of bicycle and the simulation results were relatively good agreement to the results of experiment.

  • 오늘날 자전거는 레저용으로 각 회사에서 다양화되고 있다. 각 자전거 메이커로부터 다품종의 자전거가 판매되고 있지만, 구매자가 그 중에서 자신의 신체에 적합한 자전거의 정보를 얻는 것은 쉬운 것은 아니다. 따라서 대부분 구매자의 신체치수를 이용하여 자전거를 구매하고 있다. 이와 같은 방법을 이용하는 것은 표준 신체치수에 의하여 자전거의 치수를 결정하는 방법이다. 그러나 이 방법에 의하여 자전거를 구입하였을 경우 구매자의 신체에 적합한 자전거라고 볼 수가 없다. 본 연구에서는 구매자가 직접 본인의 신체에 맞도록 최적 설계시스템을 조절하여 자전거를 설계한다. 그리고 퍼지제어기를 이용한 주행 시험 장치에서 주행시험을 한다. 그 결과를 이용하여 구매자의 신체에 적합한 자전거인가를 판단할 수 있는 최적 자전거 설계시스템을 연구한 것이다.

복합재료 라미네이트 경량화 자전거 프레임의 강도 설계 (Strength Design of Lightweight Composite Bicycle Frame)

  • 본 논문에서는 Tsai-Wu 파손이론을 적용하여 복합재료 자전거 프레임의 경량화를 위한 강도설계에 대하여 연구하였다. 설계에 있어서 자전거 프레임의 경량화는 중요한 문제이며, 동시에 요구 강도를 만족시켜야 한다. 하중조건으로 유럽표준위원회의 EN14764 규격에 의거하여 페달, 수직, 레벨 하중조건을 적용하였다. 복합재료는 이방성을 가지므로 적절한 적층수 및 적층 순서를 결정하는 것이 중요하다. 따라서 $[0]_{8n}$, $[90]_{8n}$, $[0/90]_{2ns}$, $[{\pm}45]_{2ns}$, $[0/{\pm}45/90]_{ns}$ 의 적층에 대하여 적층수를 변화시켜가며(n=1,2,3,4) 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과로부터 하중 조건에 따른 자전거 프레임의 취약부와 취약적층을 확인하였고, $[0/{\pm}45/90]_{3s}$ 이 가장 적절한 적층각 모델임을 제안하였다.

경기력 향상을 위한 경주용 탄소 자전거 프레임의 하중과 변형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Load and Deformation of Race Carbon Bicycle Frame for Improved Athletic Performance)

  • As the industry develops and quality of life increases, the concept of leisure is also changing. Bicycling is a healthy sport for exercising while enjoying nature, facilitating the enjoyment of a healthy life. As a result, the awareness surrounding bicycles has increased, and so has the interest in lighter and more luxurious carbon bikes. The number of domestic companies producing carbon bicycles frames is nil. In this study, we analyze the frames of existing foreign brands and analyze the deformation and stress concentration area according to the load of the frame, using the finite element analysis. In addition, we set up the range of stiffness based on the content of the structural analysis, to localize the carbon bicycle frame and famous foreign products, and compare the prototype with the stiffness by using bicycle molds for track races.

어린이용 자전거의 차량 충돌거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Collision Behavior of Fairy Cycle to Vehicle)

  • Recently the usage of bicycle has increased steeply in Korea owing to traffic culture of well- being. In a car to bicycle accident investigation, the throw distance of bicycle is very important factor for reconstructing of the accident. The variables that influence on the throw distance of bicycle can be classified into the factors of vehicle and bicycle. Simulations and collision tests in actual car to bicycle accident were executed for obtaining throw distance of bicycle. The simulations were done by PC-$CRASH^{TM}$ and for actual crash tests sand bags were used for the behavior of bicyclist instead of dummy. Factors considered were vehicle velocity and the moving angles of bicycle, also the types of bicycle and vehicle were fairy cycle and automobile, respectively. From the results, the throw distances of a head-on tire collision of $0^{\circ}$ direction was longer than that of tire crash test of $45^{\circ}$ direction, and the throw distances of a head -on frame crash test of $90^{\circ}$ direction was longer than that of frame crash test of $45^{\circ}$ direction. In addition restitution coefficient between vehicle and bicycle was estimated as about 0.1 with based on actual crash tests. Finally the increaser vehicle velocity the longer the throw distances of bicycle, and the results of simulation were relatively good agreement to the experimental results.
