자동 Error counter를 이용한 RSFQ switch 소자의 Bit Error Rate 측정 (Bit Error Rate measurement of an RSFQ switch by using an automatic error counter)

  • The problem of fluctuation-induced digital errors in a rapid single flux quantum (RSFQ) circuit has been very important issue. So in this experiment, we calculated error rate of RSFQ switch in superconductiyity ALU, The RSFQ switch should have a very low error rate in the optimal bias. We prepared two circuits Placed in parallel. One was a 10 Josephson transmission lines (JTLs) connected in series, and the other was the same circuit but with an RSFQ switch placed in the middle of the 10 JTLs. We used a splitter to feed the same input signal to the both circuits. The outputs of the two circuits were compared with an RSFQ XOR to measure the error rate of the RSFQ switch. By using a computerized bit error rate test setup, we measured the bit error rate of 2.18$\times$$10^{12}$ when the bias to the RSFQ switch was 0.398mh that was quite off from the optimum bias of 0.6mA.

  • 일반적으로 대공화기의 체계 명중률을 예측할 때 오차를 각각 고정편기, 가변편기 및 랜덤오차로 분류한 후 가변편기와 랜덤오차는 각 오차의 값의 제곱의 합의 제곱근으로 나타내고 고정편기의 경우는 오차의 합으로 나타낸다. 이때 각 오차의 단위 값의 변화에 관한 고각방향과 방위각 방향의 변위를 나타내는 변수가 가중치로 작용한다. 그리고 이 오차들을 이용하여 정규분포식의 적분을 통하여 체계 명중률을 예측한다. 본 논문에서는 오차의 상관관계를 고려하여 체계 명중률을 예측하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 접근법이 정밀한 체계 명중률을 예측하는데 도움이 된다는 것을 보인다.

A Study on a Basis for the Selection of a Design for Quadratic Model Fits Fearing a Cubic Bias in Multilple Response Case

  • In fitting a model, there always exists a discrepancy between the fitted model and the true functional relationship. In measuring this discrepancy, Box and Drapper (1959) used the criterion dividing the discrepancy into two parts which are the bias error part and the variance error one in single response case. In this paper, an optimum design which makes these two types of errors as small as possible is found by extending the Box and Drapper criterion to multiple response situation. Especially, a design is found to meat rotatability conditions when we fit a quadratic model to each response fearing cubic bias. Using the central composite design, an application of general results to a specific case is shown to help understanding the material.

  • In this paper, a localization error recoverymethod based on bias estimation is provided for outdoor localization of mobile robot using different-type sensors. In the previous data integration method with DGPS, it is difficult to localize mobile robot due to multi-path phenomena of DGPS. In this paper, fault data due to multi-path phenomena can be recovered by bias estimation. The proposed data integration method uses a Kalman filter based estimator taking into account a bias estimator and a free-bias estimator. A performance evaluation is shown through an outdoor experiment using mobile robot.

  • The problem of fluctuation-induced digital errors in a rapid single flux quantum (RSFQ) circuit has been a very important issue. In this work, we calculated the bit error rate of an RSFQ switch used in superconductive arithmetic logic unit (ALU). RSFQ switch should have a very low error rate in the optimal bias. Theoretical estimates of the RSFQ error rate are on the order of $10^{-50}$ per bit operation. In this experiment, we prepared two identical circuits placed in parallel. Each circuit was composed of 10 Josephson transmission lines (JTLs) connected in series with an RSFQ switch placed in the middle of the 10 JTLs. We used a splitter to feed the same input signal to both circuits. The outputs of the two circuits were compared with an RSFQ exclusive OR (XOR) to measure the bit error rate of the RSFQ switch. By using a computerized bit-error-rate test setup, we measured the bit error rate of $2.18{\times}10^{-12}$ when the bias to the RSFQ switch was 0.398 mA that was quite off from the optimum bias of 0.6 mA.

  • 작물모형 평가에 사용되거나 사용할 수 있는 9가지 지표를 소개하였으며 이들의 특징은 다음과 같다. efficiency of model (EF)와 index of agreement (d)은 dimension이 없고 관측수(n)에 의존적이지 않았으며, dimension에 대해서만 자유로운 것은 relative root mean square error (RRMSE), bias factor (Bf)와 accuracy factor (Af)이다. Root mean sqruar, mean error, mean absolute error들은 관측수와 dimension에 영향을 받기 때문에 판단 시 주의가 필요하다. 따라서 이들의 특징을 파악하여 목적에 맞게 모형의 성능을 파악하여야 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 3차원 기상 및 대기질 모델의 입출력 자료를 평가하는 데 필요한 통계 검증지표를 선별하고, 선정된 검증지표의 기준치를 조사하여 그 결과를 요약하였다. 여러 국내외 문헌과 최근 논문 검토를 통해 최종 선정된 통계 검증지표는 MB (Mean Bias), ME (Mean Error), MNB (Mean Normalized Bias Error), MNE (Mean Absolute Gross Error), RMSE (Root Mean Square Error), IOA (Index of Agreement), R (Correlation Coefficient), FE (Fractional Error), FB (Fractional Bias)로 총 9가지이며, 국내외 문헌을 통해 그 기준치를 확인하였다. 그 결과, 기상모델의 경우 대부분 MB와 ME가 주요 지표로 사용되어 왔고, 대기질 모델 결과는 NMB와 NME 지표가 주로 사용되었으며, 그 기준치의 차이를 분석하였다. 아울러 이들 통계 검증지표값을 이용하여 모델 예측 결과를 효과적으로 비교하기 위한 표출 도식으로 축구 도식, 테일러 도식, Q-Q (Quantile-Quantile) 도식의 장단점을 분석하였다. 나아가 본 연구 결과를 기반으로 우리나라의 산악지역의 특수성 등이 잘 고려된 통계 검증지표의 기준치 설정 등의 추가연구가 효과적으로 진행될 수 있기를 기대한다.

진동형 MEMS 자이로스코프 G-민감도 오차에 관한 연구 (A Study on the G-Sensitivity Error of MEMS Vibratory Gyroscopes)

  • In this paper, we describe the analysis and the compensation method of the g-sensitivity error for MEMS vibratory gyroscopes. Usually, the g-sensitivity error has been ignored in the commercial MEMS gyroscope, but it deserves our attention to apply for the missile application as a tactical grade performance. Thus, it is necessary to compensate for the g-sensitivity error to reach a tactical grade performance. Generally, the g-sensitivity error seems intuitively to be a gyroscope bias error proportional to the linear acceleration. However, we assert that the g-sensitivity error mainly causes not a bias error but a scale-factor error. And we verify that the g-sensitivity scale-factor error occurs due to the non-linearity of parallel plate electrodes. Therefore, we propose the compensation method to remove the g-sensitivity scale-factor error. The experimental result showed that a proposed compensation method improved successfully the performance of the MEMS vibratory gyroscope.

  • The frequency response function(FRF) of each substructure is used for the transfer function synthesis method(TFS). The dynamic characteristics of the full system are obtained by synthesizing FRFs of each substructure. The validation of TFS depends on accuracy for FRF of each substructure. Impact hammer testing Is widely used to obtain the modal characteristics of structures However. the FRF obtained from impact hammer testing contains bias errors, such as finite record length error and leakage error of which characteristic depends on data acquisition time which we call record length. In this paper, a method to remove hose errors is proposed so as to enhance results of TFS. Numerical and experimental examples show that the FRF of full structure can be predicted nearly exactly by the method proposed in this paper.

  • When a vehicle moves with a high rotation rate, it is not easy to measure the angular velocity using an off-the-shelf gyroscope. If the angular velocity is estimated using the extended Kalman filter in the gyro-free inertial navigation system, the effect of the accelerometer error and initial angular velocity error can be reduced. In this paper, in order to improve the navigation performance of the gyro-free inertial navigation system, an angular velocity estimation method is proposed based on an extended Kalman filter with an accelerometer random bias error model. In order to show the validity of the proposed estimation method, angular velocities and navigation outputs of a vehicle with 3 rev/s rotation rate are estimated. The results are compared with estimates by other methods such as the integration and an extended Kalman filter without an accelerometer random bias error model. The proposed method gives better estimation results than other methods.
