  • As the particulate matter (PM) is fatal for human being, the government authorities try to lessen PM with a variety of policy instruments. To increase the efficiency of the policy, we need to understand people's perception and risk avoidance on PM. Thus, the research explored what attribution styles, involvement, and perceived health status have an influence on preventive intention. First, we found three attribution styles on PM occurrence through factor analysis: daily life(DL), domestic industry & environment(DI&E), and Chinese industry & environment(CI&E). We also found that involvement(${\beta}=.465$, p<.001), CI&E(${\beta}=.222$, p<.001), DL(${\beta}=.173$, p<.01), and DI&E(${\beta}=.143$, p<.05) have an influence on preventive intention in order. Finally we discussed suggestions for future study.

  • The EEG signal in general can be categorized as the Alpha wave, the Beta wave, the Theta wave, and the Delta wave. The alpha wave, showed in stable state, is the dominant wave for a human EEG and the beta wave displays the excited state. The subject of this paper was to recognize the stable state of EEG quantitatively using wavelet transform and power spectrum analysis. We decomposed EEG signal into the alpha wave and the beta wave in the process of wavelet transform, and calculated each power spectrum of EEG signal, using Fast Fourier Transform. And then we calculated the stable state quantitatively by stable state ratio, defined as the power spectrum of the alpha wave over that of the beta wave. The study showed that it took more than 10 minutes to reach the stable state from the normal activity in 69 % of the subjects, 5 -10 minutes in 9%, and less than 5 minutes in 16 %.

  • Neurodegeneration can result in memory loss in the central nervous system (CNS) and impairment of taste and smell in the peripheral nervous system (PNS). The neurodegeneration seen in Parkinson's disease (PD) is characterized by functional loss of dopaminergic neurons. Recent studies have also found a role for dopaminergic neurons in regulating taste memory rewards in insects. To investigate how taste memories and sugar sensitivity can be affected in PD, we utilized the $DJ-1{\beta}$ mutant fruit fly, $DJ-1{\beta}^{ex54}$, as a PD model. We performed binary choice feeding assays, electrophysiology and taste-mediated memory tests to explore the function of the $DJ-1{\beta}$ gene in terms of sugar sensitivity as well as associative taste memory. We found that PD flies exhibited an impaired ability to discriminate sucrose across a range of sugar concentrations, with normal responses at only very high concentrations of sugar. They also showed an impairment in associative taste memory. We highlight that the taste impairment and memory defect in $DJ-1{\beta}^{ex54}$ can be recovered by the expression of wild-type $DJ-1{\beta}$ gene in the dopaminergic neurons. We also emphasized the role of dopaminergic neurons in restoring taste memory function. This impaired memory property of $DJ-1{\beta}^{ex54}$ flies also allows them to be used as a model system for finding supplementary dietary foods that can improve memory function. Here we provide evidence that the associative taste memory of both control and $DJ-1{\beta}^{ex54}$ flies can be enhanced with dietary supplementation of the medicinal plant, omija.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influencing factors of job engagement among Korean police officers. This was the secondary analysis of data from the 5th Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS). The study subjects included 185 Korean police officers. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0 program. Job insecurity (${\beta}=-.34$, p<.001), job reward (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001), subjective health status (${\beta}=.22$, p<.001), and organizational justice (${\beta}=.20$, p=.002) were significant influencing factors on job engagement, explaining 59.3% of the variance (F=34.26, p<.001). Effective and systematic strategies to improve Korean police officers' job engagement should focus on job reward, job insecurity, subjective health status, and organizational justice. The results of this study can be utilized as base data to improve Korean police officers' job engagement.

  • This is a convergence study to examine influences of self-efficacy and mindfulness on job satisfaction of nurses. For this explanatory survey research, 71 clinical nurses working for a general hospital in D city were recruited. Data were collected with self-reported questionnaires from september 20 to october 4 in 2015 and analyzed with PASW Statistics (SPSS) 18.0 program. Job satisfaction significantly positively correlated with self-efficacy (r=.439, p<.001), but there were no significant correlation between self-efficacy and mindfulness (r=-.142, p=.241) or mindfulness and job satisfaction (r=-.067, p=.583). Self-efficacy was the only significantly influencing factor on job satisfaction (${\beta}=.429$, p<.001). According to the results, self-efficacy could be a key factor to increase job satisfaction of clinical nurses and many trials had to be developed and administered to increase it for enhancing clinical nurses' job satisfaction.

  • This research intends to investigate the progress made in East Asian bond market integration thus far. Price-based measures (AAD indicator and beta-convergence measure), quantity-based measures and econometric techniques (co-integration test, error correction model based Granger causality test) are employed in the analysis. Even though East Asian government bond markets have become more integrated since 2001, the differentials among the markets still remain significantly high. The bond market integration process seems slow. The convergence of bond markets sped up in 2003 and after the 2008 world financial crisis, implying the important role of government policies in integrating the regional bond markets. East Asian bond market integration may need more government-directed measures.

  • Since nursing is carried out in a relationship between nurses and nursing subjects in a social context, the social problem solving ability of nursing college students is very important. The purpose of this study was to identify impact of self-leadership, caring ability and self-efficacy on social problem solving ability in nursing student's. The subjects of this study were 203 nursing college students from a university. Data was analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. The result of multiple regression indicate that caring ability(${\beta}=0.39$, p<.001) self-efficacy(${\beta}=0.28$, p<.001), self-leadership(${\beta}=0.23$, p<.001) were the most consistent predictors of social problem solving ability and explained 53.0%. It is suggested to establish an autonomy-based program and feedback system and to develop a convergence education program to balance cognitive and emotional aspects.

  • The SS-phpm 4HCl(N,N'-bis-[2(S)-pyrrolidinylmethyl]phenylene-l,2-diamine-4-Hydrochloride) ligand having stereospecificity has been prepared and reacted with trans-[$Co(pyridine)_4Cl_2]$Cl. The resultants are purple crystals, which are identified to be ${\Delta}$-cis-${\beta}$-[$Co(SS-phpm)Cl_2$]Cl by elemental analysis and UV/Vis- and CD-absorption spectra, The conformation of SS-phpm in ${\Delta}$-cis-${\beta}$ complex is ${\delta}$ ${\varepsilon}$ ${\lambda}$ (SSSS) for each of the five-membered chelated ring. Futhermore, according to orientation of secondary amine, total strain energy on each isomers was calculated by molecular mechanics(MM) to verify structural characterization and spectral data. As the result, the most stabilized isomer was ${\Delta}$-cis-${\beta}$(SSSS). The value of total strain energy(U) of ${\Delta}$-cis-${\beta}$(SSSS) isomer was 63.21 kcal/mol, respectively.

  • Let K be a nonempty closed convex subset of a real Hilbert space H. Let T : K $\rightarrow$ K be a nonexpansive mapping with a nonempty fixed point set Fix(T). Let f : K $\rightarrow$ K be a contraction mapping. Let {$\alpha_n$} and {$\beta_n$} be sequences in (0, 1) such that $\lim_{x{\rightarrow}0}{\alpha}_n=0$, (0.1) $\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\;{\alpha}_n=+{\infty}$, (0.2) 0 < a ${\leq}\;{\beta}_n\;{\leq}$ b < 1 for all $n\;{\geq}\;0$. (0.3) Then it is proved that the modified Krasnoselski-Mann iterative sequence {$x_n$} given by {$x_0\;{\in}\;K$, $y_n\;=\;{\alpha}_{n}f(x_n)+(1-\alpha_n)x_n$, $n\;{\geq}\;0$, $x_{n+1}=(1-{\beta}_n)y_n+{\beta}_nTy_n$, $n\;{\geq}\;0$, (0.4) converges strongly to a point p $\in$ Fix(T} which satisfies the variational inequality

    $\leq$ 0, z $\in$ Fix(T). (0.5) This result improves and extends the corresponding results of Yao et al[Y.Yao, H. Zhou, Y. C. Liou, Strong convergence of a modified Krasnoselski-Mann iterative algorithm for non-expansive mappings, J Appl Math Com-put (2009)29:383-389.
