A superconducting power cable is one of the promising ways for transmitting huge electric power efficiently in the future. We performed a conceptual design of 154kV, 3GVA class superconducting power cable. The AC loss of superconductor was estimated by using the Bean model. The cross sectional area of stabilizer was calculated under the adiabatic condition. In this paper, the results of the conceptual design of superconducting power cable is described.

Attempts have been applied to reduce the vibration of slab. There are several method in the vibration control of slab from a traditional method such as increment of mass or stiffness of slab to a innovative method augmenting damping of slab. In this study, a attempt has been made to increase the effective damping in slab using the viscoelastic dampers made of viscoelastic material. The dampers are installed in a gab between slab and a beam. It is assumed that the stiffness of the beam is infinity for simplicity of the evaluation. we evaluate the reduction effect of the slab selected through numerical simulation and optimization process by applying it to a FEM model. The numerical simulation shows that the effective damping is increased as the number of bean is increased and the vibration control effect is very high.
The current profiles in a coated conductor with transport current were calculated using an iterative inversion method from the data of the magnetic flux density profiles measured. The applied current was increased from 0 to 60 A by 10A step and decreased down to -60A by 20A step. The magnetic flux profiles were measured at a distance of 400 mm above the surface of the coated conductor using a scanning hall probe method. The current profiles calculated were very different from the Bean model: current density profile is not a constant in the critical region. However the aspect of the change of the current and magnetic flux density profiles in the case of decreasing applied current are similar to the theoretical calculations in Brandt's paper.
The transport current distribution across the tape width of a SmBCO coated conductor was investigated. The current distribution was estimated by applying an inversion process to the field distribution measured in the vicinity of the tape by using a scanning Hall probe method. The obtained result is well consistent with one predicted by the Bean model, however, at the edges the current are not constant and do not generally plateau, on the contrary.
Hyperspectral reflectance and fluorescence scattering have been researched recently for measuring fruit post-harvest quality and condition. And they are promising for nondestructive detection of fruit quality. The objective of this research was to develop a model, which measure the quality of apple by using hyperspectral reflectance and fluorescence. A violet laser (408 nm) and a quartz tungsten halogen light were used as light sources for generating laser induced fluorescence and reflectance scattering in apples, respectively. The laser induced fluorescence and reflectance of 'Golden Delicious' apples were measured by using a hyperspectral imaging system. Fruit firmness, soluble solids and acid content were measured using standard destructive methods. Principal component analyses were performed to extract critical information from both hyperspectral reflectance and fluorescence data and this information was then related to fruit quality indexes. The fluorescence models had poorer predictions of the three quality indexes than the reflectance models. However, the prediction models of integrating fluorescence and reflectance performed consistently better than the individual models of either reflectance or fluorescence. The correlation coefficient for fruit firmness, soluble solid content, and tillable acidity from the integrated model was 0.86, 0.75, and 0.66 respectively. Also the standard errors were 6.97 N, 1.05%, and 0.07% respectively.
The objective of this study is to examine the effects of consumer beliefs regarding three food certifications on their behavioral intention and the behavioral intention biases to purchase (purchasing intention biases) certified agricultural products as predicted by a subjective probability model. The food certifications used for this study are 'Organic food', 'Traceability system of food products,' and 'Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)'. Tofu (bean curd) was selected as being representative of agricultural food products, for the purposes of this study. In 2016, we surveyed 243 consumers regarding the strength of their belief regarding their prior beliefs relative to each certification, as well as the strength of their intention to purchase certified tofu based on their belief strengths for this study. The study resulted in the following findings: Firstly, consumers hold more than two different prior beliefs for each of the three certifications included in this study. Consumers' prior beliefs regarding these certifications have an impact on their consideration as to whether they plan to buy those certified agricultural products. Secondly, consumers try to persuade themselves to ensure that their particular belief about the product's certification could lead to a purchasing decision regarding that agricultural product.
Dynamic analysis of lateral pile under seismic loading is performed in this paper. As an analytical model, the Bean-on-twinkler Foundation Model is used for this study because of its simplicity and acceptible accuracy . The method suggested by Kagawa and Kraft, which can account for non-linear effects, is used for the dynamic P-y relationship This relationship is found to be the most important factor in analysis . Group pile effects are also considered approximately The results of dynamic analysis show that a pile without supporting mass follows the soil movement ; in the case of a pile with supporting mass, the relative displacement between the soil and the pile occurs . When designing piles, it must be considered that piles have to resist the curvatures originated by the soil movement.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the Jorim of meat and poultry in Korean modern cookbooks. Jorim is a traditional Korean method of braising meat and poultry with soy sauce or gochujang. This study evaluated jorim in 10 books published in Korea from the end of 1800 to 1987 and to develop cooking models of beef jorim, pork jorim, and chicken jorim. The main ingredients in the jorim were beef, pork, chicken and pheasant. Other ingredients in the jorim included pine nuts, beef, eggs, radishes, bean sprouts, onions, bamboo shoots and pepper. In Sieuijeanseo, which was published at the end of the nineteenth century, the method called for braising meat directly in soy sauce. However, other modern cookbooks suggested boiling the meat prior to braising. Despite jorim being a popular sub-dish in Korea, there has been a decrease in the varieties available.
Reusable software component is an ultimate goal for the software development. Component based development is focused on advanced concepts rather than passive manipulation or class library with source codes. However, the primary component construction in component based development lead to an additional development cost and effort for reconstructing the new software component within a component model. Java application provides several features based on component model. But, we only have an opportunity to develop the smallest reuse units or the restricted set of GUI components. It cannot contributed as a component and only used in the specific domain component with high cost and efforts. In this paper, we apply java component model to the existing java application and extract javabeans through extending the component scalability. We also discuss the algorithm for transformation mechanism from legacy class to javabeans with a partial of business logic.

Objectives : Non-invasive transcranial electrical stimulation is one of therapeutic interventions to change in neural excitability of the cortex. Transcranial electro-acupuncture (TEA) can modulate brain functions through changes in cortical excitability as a model of non-invasive transcranial electrical stimulation. Some composites of fermented Scutellaria baicalenis (FSB) can activate intercellular signaling pathways for activation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor that is critical for formation of neural plasticity in stroke patients. This study was aimed at evaluation of combinatory treatment of TEA and FSB on behavior recovery and cortical neural excitability in rodent focal stroke model. Methods : Focal ischemic stroke was induced by photothrombotic injury to the motor cortex of adult rats. Application of TEA with 20 Hz and $200{\mu}A$ in combination with daily oral treatment of FBS was given to stroke animals for 3 weeks. Motor recovery was evaluated by rotating bean test and ladder working test. Electrical activity of cortical pyramidal neurons of stroke model was evaluated by using multi-channel extracellular recording technique and thallium autometallography. Results : Compared with control stroke group who did not receive any treatment, Combination of TEA and FSB treatment resulted in more rapid recovery of forelimb movement following focal stroke. This combination treatment also elicited increase in spontaneous firing rate of putative pyramidal neurons. Furthermore expression of metabolic marker for neural excitability was upregulated in peri-infract area under thallium autometallography. Conclusions : These results suggest that combination treatment of TEA and FSB can be a possible remedy for motor recovery in focal stroke.
