  • In a business context, ESG is defined as the use of environmental, social, and governance factors to assess a firm's progress in terms of sustainability. Social media has enabled the public to actively share firms' good and/or bad deeds, increasing public interest in ESG management. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the association of firm performances with the respective sentiments towards each of environmental, social, and governance activities, as well as comprehensive ESG sentiments, which encompass all environmental, social, and governance sentiments. This study used panel regression models to examine the relationship between social media ESG sentiment and the Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) of 143 companies listed on the KOSPI 200. We collected data from 2018 to 2021, including sentiment data from a variety of social media channels, such as online communities, Instagram, blogs, Twitter, and other news. The results indicated that firm performance is significantly related to respective ESG and comprehensive ESG sentiments. This study has several implications. By using data from various social media channels, it presents an unbiased view of public ESG sentiment, rather than relying on ESG ratings, which may be influenced by rating agencies. Furthermore, the findings can be used to help firms determine the direction of their ESG management. Therefore, this study provides theoretical and practical insights for researchers and firms interested in ESG management.

  • This study utilized TEXTOM, a social network analysis program to analyze changes in current tourism behavior after travel restrictions were eased after the outbreak of COVID-19. Data on the keywords 'domestic travel' and 'overseas travel' were collected from blogs, cafes, and news provided by Naver, Google, and Daum. The collection period was set from April to December 2022 when social distancing was lifted, and 2019 and 2020 were each set as one year and compared and analyzed with 2022. A total of 80 key words were extracted through text mining and centrality analysis was performed using NetDraw. Finally, through the CONCOR, the correlated keywords were clustered into 4. As a result of the study, tourism behavior in 2022 shows tourism recovery before the outbreak of COVID-19, segmentation of travel based on each person's preferred theme, prioritization of each country's corona mitigation policy, and then selecting a tourist destination. It is expected to provide basic data for the development of tourism marketing strategies and tourism products for the newly emerging tourism ecosystem after COVID-19.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze quantitatively and qualitatively the effects of the increase in online shopping and its effects on real-world commercial outlets. The empirical analysis of this study is based on the results of "Census on Establishments" and "Online Shopping Survey" that cover 15 years, from 2002 to 2016. According to the results of this study, the increase in the number of online transactions affects the decrease in the number of stores in the real-world retail sector. However, non-specialized large stores and chain convenience stores showed an increase in the number of stores. In addition, the number of F&B stores increased the most in line with the increase in online transactions. This is because the increase in online transactions and in internet users led to the use of more delivery applications and the introduction of popular places on blogs or through social media. Street-level rents for medium and large-sized locations increased. In other words, it is seen that the demand for differentiated real-world stores that provide a good user experience increases, even though online transactions also increase. These results suggest that real-world stores should provide good user experiences in their physical locations with a certain size and assortment of goods.

  • This study analyzed the changes in social media reactions of data subjects to major personal data breach incidents in South Korea from January 2014 to October 2022. We collected a total of 1,317 posts written on Naver Blogs within a week immediately following each incident. Applying the LDA topic modeling technique to these posts, five main topics were identified: personal data breaches, hacking, information technology, etc. Analyzing the temporal changes in topic distribution, we found that immediately after a data breach incident, the proportion of topics directly mentioning the incident was the highest. However, as time passed, the proportion of mentions related indirectly to the personal data breach increased. This suggests that the attention of data subjects shifts from the specific incident to related topics over time, and interest in personal data protection also decreases. The findings of this study imply a future need for research on the changes in privacy awareness of data subjects following personal data breach incidents.

  • When people try to find restaurant information via search engine results, they look at posts not only from sites with solely restaurant reviews but also from sites with restaurant unrelated contents. This study aims to investigate whether relevance between post and blog type affects users' trust toward a review. This study also attempts to check if the above effects interact with age. We designed a restaurant review post for two different blogs: one featuring restaurant review and another that does not feature restaurant reviews. After our participants visited one restaurant review post, they answered our questionnaire. We conducted an online survey on 206 participants to test our research model. Results show that 1) the effect of relevance between post and blog type on message credibility, which is users' trust toward restaurant reviews, is not greater when posts are consistent with the theme of a blog. 2) Among users who are over 30 years old, relevance between post and blog type moderates the relationship between media skepticism, which is users' feeling of mistrust toward blog, and belief in expertise, that is, users' belief that the review post provides sufficient restaurant information. 3) Users' perceived value of the restaurant review post mediates the relationship between users' belief in the expertise in a post and users' intention to seek additional information.

  • In this paper, we fine-tuned KoAlpaca, a large-scale Korean language model, and implemented a blog text generation system utilizing it. Blogs on social media platforms are widely used as a marketing tool for businesses. We constructed training data of positive reviews through emotion analysis and refinement of collected sponsored blog texts and applied QLoRA for the lightweight training of KoAlpaca. QLoRA is a fine-tuning approach that significantly reduces the memory usage required for training, with experiments in an environment with a parameter size of 12.8B showing up to a 58.8% decrease in memory usage compared to LoRA. To evaluate the generative performance of the fine-tuned model, texts generated from 100 inputs not included in the training data produced on average more than twice the number of words compared to the pre-trained model, with texts of positive sentiment also appearing more than twice as often. In a survey conducted for qualitative evaluation of generative performance, responses indicated that the fine-tuned model's generated outputs were more relevant to the given topics on average 77.5% of the time. This demonstrates that the positive review generation language model for sponsored content in this paper can enhance the efficiency of time management for content creation and ensure consistent marketing effects. However, to reduce the generation of content that deviates from the category of positive reviews due to elements of the pre-trained model, we plan to proceed with fine-tuning using the augmentation of training data.

  • Social media has become one of the most popular media in web and mobile application. In 2011, social networks and blogs are still the top destination of online users, according to a study from Nielsen Company. In their studies, nearly 4 in 5active users visit social network and blog. Social Networks and Blogs sites rule Americans' Internet time, accounting to 23 percent of time spent online. Facebook is the main social network that the U.S internet users spend time more than the other social network services such as Yahoo, Google, AOL Media Network, Twitter, Linked In and so on. In recent trend, most of the companies promote their products in the Facebook by creating the "Facebook Page" that refers to specific product. The "Like" option allows user to subscribed and received updates their interested on from the page. The film makers which produce a lot of films around the world also take part to market and promote their films by exploiting the advantages of using the "Facebook Page". In addition, a great number of streaming service providers allows users to subscribe their service to watch and enjoy movies and TV program. They can instantly watch movies and TV program over the internet to PCs, Macs and TVs. Netflix alone as the world's leading subscription service have more than 30 million streaming members in the United States, Latin America, the United Kingdom and the Nordics. As the matter of facts, a million of movies and TV program with different of genres are offered to the subscriber. In contrast, users need spend a lot time to find the right movies which are related to their interest genre. Recent years there are many researchers who have been propose a method to improve prediction the rating or preference that would give the most related items such as books, music or movies to the garget user or the group of users that have the same interest in the particular items. One of the most popular methods to build recommendation system is traditional Collaborative Filtering (CF). The method compute the similarity of the target user and other users, which then are cluster in the same interest on items according which items that users have been rated. The method then predicts other items from the same group of users to recommend to a group of users. Moreover, There are many items that need to study for suggesting to users such as books, music, movies, news, videos and so on. However, in this paper we only focus on movie as item to recommend to users. In addition, there are many challenges for CF task. Firstly, the "sparsity problem"; it occurs when user information preference is not enough. The recommendation accuracies result is lower compared to the neighbor who composed with a large amount of ratings. The second problem is "cold-start problem"; it occurs whenever new users or items are added into the system, which each has norating or a few rating. For instance, no personalized predictions can be made for a new user without any ratings on the record. In this research we propose a clustering method according to the users' genre interest extracted from social network service (SNS) and user's movies rating information system to solve the "cold-start problem." Our proposed method will clusters the target user together with the other users by combining the user genre interest and the rating information. It is important to realize a huge amount of interesting and useful user's information from Facebook Graph, we can extract information from the "Facebook Page" which "Like" by them. Moreover, we use the Internet Movie Database(IMDb) as the main dataset. The IMDbis online databases that consist of a large amount of information related to movies, TV programs and including actors. This dataset not only used to provide movie information in our Movie Rating Systems, but also as resources to provide movie genre information which extracted from the "Facebook Page". Formerly, the user must login with their Facebook account to login to the Movie Rating System, at the same time our system will collect the genre interest from the "Facebook Page". We conduct many experiments with other methods to see how our method performs and we also compare to the other methods. First, we compared our proposed method in the case of the normal recommendation to see how our system improves the recommendation result. Then we experiment method in case of cold-start problem. Our experiment show that our method is outperform than the other methods. In these two cases of our experimentation, we see that our proposed method produces better result in case both cases.
