  • We consider the weighted spaces ℓp(𝕊, 𝜑) and ℓp(𝕊, 𝜓) for 1 < p < +∞, where 𝜑 and 𝜓 are weights on 𝕊 (= ℕ or ℤ). We obtain a sufficient condition for ℓp(𝕊, 𝜓) to be multiplier weighted-space of ℓp(𝕊, 𝜑) and ℓp(𝕊, 𝜓). Our condition characterizes the last multiplier weighted-space in the case where 𝕊 = ℤ. As a consequence, in the particular case where 𝜓 = 𝜑, the weighted space ℓp(ℤ,𝜓) is a convolutive algebra.

  • Let A be a locally finite total algebra of finite type such that $k^A(a_1,\cdots,a_n)\;{\neq}\;a_i$ ai for every operation $k^A$, elements $a_1,\cdots,a_n$ an and $1\;\leq\;i\;\leq\;n$. We show that the weak subalgebra lattice of A uniquely determines its (strong) subalgebra lattice. More precisely, for any algebra B of the same finite type, if the weak subalgebra lattices of A and B are isomorphic, then their subalgebra lattices are also isomorphic. Moreover, B is also total and locally finite.

  • The main result of this article is to factorize the first (σ, τ)-cohomology group of triangular Banach algebra 𝓣 of order three with coefficients in 𝓣 -bimodule 𝓧 to the first (σ, τ)-cohomology groups of Banach algbras 𝓐, 𝓑 and 𝓒, where σ, τ are continuous homomorphisms on 𝓣. As a direct consequence, we find necessary and sufficient conditions for 𝓣 to be (σ, τ)-weakly amenable.

  • In this paper, we present a novel LDPC code construction called as semi-algebra low density parity check(LDPC) codes which is one kind of deterministic LDPC code based on dual-diagonal sub-matrix. The constructing method results in a class of high rate LDPC codes. Codes in this class have a large girth and good minimum distances. Furthermore, they can be implemented by simple parallel array architecture using cyclic shift register and perform well with the iterative decoding.

  • We define an LI-ideal of a lattice implication algebra and show that every LI-ideal is a lattice ideal. We give an exampl that a lattice ideal may not be an LI-ideal, and show that every lattice ideal is an LI-ideal in a lattice H implication algebra. we discuss the relationship between filters and LI-ideals, and study how to generate an LI-ideal by a set. We construct the quotient structure by using an LI-ideal, and study the properties of LI-ideals related to implication homomorphisms.

  • This paper proposes an analysis method of Petri nets (PNs) using the relational algebra (RA). More specifically, we represent PNs in relations of the relational model. Based on such representation, we first develop an algorithms for analyzing properties of PNs, such as boundedness, conservation, coverability, reachability, and liveness. The advantage of this approach is as follows: First, the algorithms represented by RA can be easily converted to a query language such as SQL of the widely used, commercial relational database management systems (DBMSs). Second, we can alleviate the problem of state space explosion because relational DBMSs can handle large amounts of data efficiency. Finally, we can use the DBMS's query language to interpret the Petri nets and make simulation.

  • Let $D_3$ be the Dickson invariant algebra of $F_2[X_1,\; X_2,\; X_3] \; by \; GL(3,\; F_2)$. In this paper, we provide an elementary proof of Theorem 3.2 of [2]; each element in $D_3$ is hit by the Steenrod square in $F_2[X_1,\; X_2,\; X_3]$.

  • Let A be a $C^*$-algebra and $A^**$ its enveloping von Neumann algebra. Pedersen and Akemann developed four concepts of lower semicontinuity for elements of $A^**$. Later, Brown suggested using only three classes: strongly lsc, middle lsc, and weakly lsc. In this paper, we generalize the concept of weak semicontinuity [1, 3] to the case of unbounded operators affiliated with $A^**$. Also we consider the generalized version of the conditions of the Brown's theorem [3, Proposition 2.2 & 3.27] for unbounded operators.

  • The purpose of this paper is to prove the following results: Let A be a noncommutative semisimple Banach algebra. (1) Suppose that a linear derivation D : A $\to A$ is such that [D(x),x]x=0 holds for all $x \in A$. Then we have D=0. (2) Suppose that a linear derivation $D:A\to A$ is such that $D(x)x^2 + x^2D(x)=0$ holds for all $x \in A$. Then we have C=0.

  • The purpose of this paper is to prove the following result: Let A be a noncommutative semisimple Banach algebra. Suppose that $D:A{\rightarrow}A$, $G:A{\rightarrow}A$ are linear derivations such that [G(x), x]D(x) = D(x)[G(x), x] = 0, [D(x), G(x)] = 0 hold for all $x{\in}A$. In this case either D = 0 or G = 0.
