간호대학생의 환자권리에 대한 인식과 윤리적 가치관이 생명의료윤리의식에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Perception of Patient rights and Ethical Values on Biomedical Ethics Awareness in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify nursing students' perception of patient rights, their ethical values and biomedical ethics awareness, and to examine the factors affecting the nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness. Methods: The participants of this study were 273 nursing students in B and K metropolitan city. Data collection was conducted through the structured questionnaires from March 2 to March 25, 2016. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS WIN v 21.0. Results: The mean scores of nursing students' perception of patient rights, ethical values and biomedical ethics awareness were $4.56{\pm}0.38$, $3.26{\pm}0.31$, $2.91{\pm}0.20$, respectively. Biomedical ethics awareness was positively correlated with the nursing students' perceptions of patient rights (r=.38, p<.001) and ethical values (r=.25, p<.001). Factors affecting the nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness were the perception of patient rights (${\beta}=.36$, p<.001) and ethical values (${\beta}=.13$, p=.023). Conclusion: The results suggest that nursing educational program should include perception of patient rights and ethical values to foster biomedical ethics awareness for nursing students.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the effects of moral sensitivity and ethical values on biomedical ethics awareness of nursing students. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used for this study. The participants were 324 nursing students from S University located in J city. The data were collected through a questionnaire survey done from September 30 to October 18, 2014. Data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The factors influencing nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness were identified as moral sensitivity(${\beta}=.34$), ethical values(${\beta}=.11$), awareness of Korean nurses' declaration of ethics(${\beta}=.15$), religion(${\beta}=.14$), and religious activity(${\beta}=.12$). Five factors explained 10.8% of nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used to develop further educational programs on the moral sensitivity and ethical values for enhancement of nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness.

간호학생의 생명의료윤리의식 영향 요인 (Affecting Factors of the Awareness of Biomedical Ethics in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine awareness of biomedical ethics, and to identify affecting factors of the awareness of biomedical ethics in nursing students. Methods: The subjects consisted of 266 nursing students their third and fourth years of study. The data were collected from October to December, 2015 by self-report using questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using SPSS/WIN 18.0, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The mean score of the awareness of biomedical ethics was $2.81{\pm}0.22$, perception of death was $3.15{\pm}0.36$, and knowledge of brain death, organ donation, and organ transplant was $12.12{\pm}3.02$. The prediction factors of awareness of biomedical ethics were gender (${\beta}=.29$, p<.001), participation in religious activity (${\beta}=.23$, p=.015), and perception of death (${\beta}=.20$, p=.016). The explanation power was 17.1%. Conclusion: These results showed that education about biomedical ethics is necessary for nursing students, and the development of biomedical ethics educational programs should reflect affecting factors.

대학생의 공감과 생명의료윤리의식의 연관성 (The Relationship of the Empathy and Biomedical Ethics Awareness with University Student)

  • 본 연구는 일반 대학생의 생명의료윤리의식과 공감능력의 정도를 평가하고 그 연관성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 지역대학생 469명이었다. 연구 결과로서 대학생의 생명윤리의식 정도는 2.89점이었고 그중 신생아 생명권과 태아의 생명권이 각각 3.32, 3.20점으로 가장 높았다. 대학생의 공감능력은 2.41로 중간 수준이었다. 생명의료윤리의식은 공감과 정적상관관계를 보였고, 생명윤리의 하위요인 중 태아의 생명권, 인공임신 중절, 인공 수정, 태아 진단, 신생아의 생명권이 인지적 공감 및 정서적 공감과 정적 상관관계를 나타내었다. 또한 공감 능력 중 정서적 공감이 생명윤리의식에 영향을 나타내었으며, 정서적 공감 중 공감적 관심 요인이 생명윤리의 하위 요인에서 태아의 생명권, 인공임신 중절, 인공수정, 태아진단, 신생아의 생명권, 안락사, 뇌사 요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 대학생들에서 공감과 관련된 생명윤리의식 교육이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

병원 간호사의 도덕적 민감성 및 윤리적 가치관이 생명의료윤리 의식에 미치는 영향 (The influence of hospital nurses' moral sensitivity and ethical values on their biomedical ethics awareness)

  • Purpose: This descriptive cross-sectional study aimed to examine the influence of nurses' moral sensitivity and ethical values on their biomedical ethics awareness. Methods: The study participants included 140 registered nurses working at three hospitals in Jeollabuk-do Province over six months. The data were collected from June 22 to July 3, 2020, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with the IBM SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: As a result of an analysis using stepwise multiple regression, nurses' biomedical ethics awareness was found to be significantly influenced by ethical values (β=.36, p<.001), moral sensitivity (β=.21, p=.007), and education in biomedical ethics (β=.16, p=.042) (adjusted R2=.21, p<.001). Conclusion: These findings suggest that moral sensitivity and ethical values are key factors in hospital nurses' development of biomedical ethics. Furthermore, the devising and implementing of a practical education program based on practical cases in medical situations to enhance nurses' biomedical ethics awareness is needed.

응급구조학과 학생의 죽음인식, 생명의료윤리의식에 따른 존엄사에 대한 태도 (The attitude of paramedic students toward death with dignity based on perception of death and awareness of biomedical ethics)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine paramedic students' attitudes towards death with dignity and identify the factors that influence their attitudes toward death with dignity. Methods: The study was conducted with 288 paramedic students in Districts C and D from April 13 to May 4, 2024. The questionnaire was self-reported and collected by sending a URL to those who agreed to participate. Results: The mean scores for the variables were 3.03 for perception of death, 2.92 for awareness of biomedical ethics, and 3.16 for attitude toward death with dignity. Positive correlations were observed between the perception of death and awareness of biomedical ethics(r=.172, p=.004). Negative correlations were observed between the perception of death and attitudes toward death and dignity(r=-.289, p<.001). The factor that most influenced the attitude toward death with dignity was the perception of death(𝛽=-.219, p<.001). Conclusion: Biomedical ethics education suitable for the job is needed to promote a positive attitude toward death with dignity by promoting a positive perception of death and improving awareness of biomedical ethics.

The effects of death orientation and attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment on awareness of biomedical ethics among paramedic students

  • 본 연구는 응급구조과 대학생의 죽음의식, 연명치료중단에 대한 태도, 생명의료윤리인식의 수준을 파악하고, 생명의료윤리인식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구대상은 D시에 소재한 일개대학 응급구조과 재학생 228명을 대상으로 시행하였으며, 자료수집은 2019년 4월부터 6월까지 자기보고식 구조화된 설문지를 이용하였다. 연구결과로 생명의료윤리인식과 연명치료중단에 대한 태도 간에는 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 분석되었다(r=.63, p<.001). 다중회귀분석결과, 생명의료윤리인식에 영향을 미치는 요인은 종교(β=.12)와 연명치료중단에 대한 태도(β=.61)로 41.0%의 설명력을 나타냈다. 따라서 생명의료윤리인식을 향상시키기 위해 응급구조과 학생들의 교육프로그램은 연명치료중단에 대한 태도에 초점을 맞추어야 할 것이다.

간호대학생의 생명의료윤리에 관한 문헌연구 (A review of research on biomedical ethics of nursing college students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 생명의료윤리에 대하여 분석한 국내연구의 동향을 파악하고자 하였다. 문헌조사에 사용된 검색엔진은 KISS, NDSL, RISS이었으며, '간호대학생'과 '생명의료윤리'를 주요어로 선정기준에 적합한 26편의 논문을 분석하였다. 생명의료윤리를 분석한 주요개념은 생명의료윤리의식이었으며, 태아생명권, 인공수정, 장기이식 등의 내용을 포함하였다. 또한 생명의료윤리의식은 대상자의 윤리교육경험(유무), 학년, 임상실습경험, 윤리교육 참여의사에 따라 차이가 있었으며, 생명의료윤리의식과 함께 분석된 주요 개념으로는 연명치료중단, 윤리적 가치관, 비판적사고, 성태도, 간호전문직관, 죽음에 대한 인식 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 향후 간호윤리교육 마련을 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Purpose: This study was done to analyze nursing students' attitudes to life-sustaining treatment by measuring their awareness of biomedical ethics and resulting attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment. Methods: This study was a descriptive research to assess the level of nursing students' awareness of biomedical ethics, attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment, and correlations between these variables. After the nursing students signed a consent form they were assessed. Data collection was done from September 1 to October 25, 2016, and analyzed using SPSS 23.0 WIM Program. Results: There was a negative correlation and significant difference between nursing students' awareness of biomedical ethics and attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment. There was a significant correlation among attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment and medical ethics, mortality ethics. Conclusion: The findings in the study indicate that it is necessary to provide nursing students with easy access to continuous education to help them establish an acceptable view of withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment.

병원 간호사의 도덕적 민감성과 도덕적 고뇌와의 관계에서 생명의료윤리의식의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effect of Biomedical Ethics Awareness in the Relationship between the Moral Distress and Moral Sensitivity of Hospital Nurses)

  • 본 연구는 병원 간호사를 대상으로 병원 간호사가 경험하는 도덕적 민감성이 도덕적 고뇌에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 도덕적 민감성과 도덕적 고뇌의 영향관계에서 생명의료윤리의식의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 연구대상자는 S시, J시에 소재하고 있는 종합병원에 근무하고 있는 병원 간호사 153명을 선정하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN 21.0을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, 상관관계분석, 단순 및 다중회귀분석과 Sobel test을 하였다. 병원 간호사가 경험하는 도덕적 민감성은 평균 4.70점(7점 만점), 도덕적 고뇌는 62.80점(336점 만점), 생명의료윤리의식은 2.21점(4점 만점)이었고, 도덕적 고뇌는 도덕적 민감성과 생명의료 윤리의식과 정적 상관관계, 도덕적 민감성과 생명의료윤리의식 간에 정적상관관계가 있었다. 마지막으로 생명의료윤리의식이 도덕적 민감성과 도덕적 고뇌의 관계를 부분 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 병원 간호사의 도덕적 민감성 향상 및 도덕적 고뇌 감소를 위해 도덕적 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 능력을 향상시키는 생명의료윤리교육 프로그램 개발이 무엇보다 중요하다.
