Interactive Graphic Robotics Integrated Programming(IGRIP) can handle various types of robot models and can exchange graphic or numerical data easily with other CAD software. In a cutting process of shape-steels, however. IGRIP is inconvenient because the users must generate all the tag points manually. In this study we developed an automation program module in order to generate the tag points automatically in IGRIP This program can read and analyze the macro data containing the information for cutting processes of shape-steels and can generate automatically the parts, the devices, the tag points and the Graphic Simulation Language(GSL) program files useful in IGRIP.

A control system for stabilizing a small robot or inverted pendulum using twisted gyro wheel is proposed. Conventional stabilizer using inertial wheel employs action-reaction force/torque to control a pendulum, which can generate relatively small torque and short period of output. In this paper, a novel actuation method using twisted gyro torque in 3-dimentional space was proposed to stabilizing a pendulum by twisting the assembly including a rotating gyro wheel. In addition, two special control functions for this type of twisted gyro wheel were designed. One is the function of self-adjusting the mass center of the robot and the other is the torque reloading configuration for continuous torque generation. The proposed system was verified by experimental result and simulation. The designed twisted gyro wheel control system can be easily packed in a small size module and installed in a humanoid robot or inverted pendulum type mechanism.
In this research, a novel mater arm was studied as a teaching device for an underwater revolute robot arm used as a slave arm. The master arm was designed to be a seven-degree-of-freedom (DOF) structure, with a structure similar to that of the slave arm, and to be desktop size to allow it to be worn on a human arm. The master arm with encoders on the joints was used as an input device for teaching a slave robot arm. In addition, small electric magnets were installed at the joints of the master arm to generate the haptic force. A control system was designed to sense excessive force and torque in the joints of the master arm and protect it by controlling the position and velocity of the slave arm through the encoder signal of the master arm.

Dynamic nature and diverse requirements on construction sites make the automation technology harder to be employed actively. In this study, we analyzed optimal type of automation system and importance of core technologies for developing efficient construction automation system on 11 construction operations. As a result, it showed that man-machine cooperation system may be the most suitable for most operations, while autonomous robot will be best suited in hard working environment such as maintenance of exterior wall. In elemental technology, ease and accuracy of control and operation showed higher priority than others regardless of automation system type. These findings will provide useful information for developing the construction automation system.

For coping with various ship types easily, welding automation using CAD/CAM is demanded and and developed. In this paper we propose a dedicated CAM system which generates MACRO files to control robot manipulators. The paper contains CAD interface, virtual simulation, macro generation and job schedulling. At first, it defines and extracts weldline from CAD data, and generates proper MACRO programs. And it obtains optimum job schedules. This system removes the manual work, and consequently reduces the overall lead time. And it reduces costs and time for developing robot welding programs. This can be expanded to virtual factory simulation technology. Moreover, it is possible to apply this system for automation of Cutting and Painting

Robot technology is a remarkably interdisciplinary research area, one that can be employed in various industrial fields as well as higher value-added fields. The construction industry, on the other hand, has been known as one of the most difficult research fields to apply robotic schemes. Therefore, applying robot technologies in the construction industry is quite a challenging topic. This paper aims to introduce the progress of automated robotic systems in construction fields, namely with respect to construction robots. While construction robots have a very wide range of application depending on the huge market size of the construction industry, there still exist a lot of problems such as highly risky working environment and inefficiency due to the labor intensive characteristic. In order to solve these problems, a variety of construction robots have been developed and, in this paper, the current state of the robotic systems for construction works and the vision of future robot technology in the construction field are introduced.
A robot system encompassing a remote control and monitoring through a virtual robot design is addressed and a tracking problem for a 2D (2 dimension) moving target by a robot vision is chosen as a case study. The virtual robot is developed, and it synchronizes with the real robot by compensating delay time. Two systems are displayed on a remote panel by communicating command and image data. The virtual robot utilizes an OpenGL library in Visual $C^{++}$ environment. Additionally, the remote monitoring and control between the real robot and the virtual robot are accomplished by employing an appropriate data compression in a network communication.
With digital technology innovation, increased data access and mobile network use by consumers, products and services are changing toward pursuing differentiated values for personalization, and personalized markets are rapidly emerging in the fashion industry. This study aims to identify trends in digital customized automation technology by deriving types of digital customizing and analyzing cases by type, and to present directions for the development of digital customizing processes and the use of technology in the future. As a research method, a literature study for a theoretical background, a case study for classification and analysis of types was conducted. The results of the study are as follows. The types of digital customizing can be classified into three types: 'cooperative customization', 'selective composition and combination', 'transparent suggestion', and automation technologies shown in each type include 3D printing, 3D virtual clothing, robot mannequin, human automatic measurement program, AR-based fitting service, big data, and AI-based curation function. With the development of digital automation technology, the fashion industry environment is also changing from existing manufacturing-oriented to consumer-oriented, and the production process is rapidly changing with IT and artificial intelligence-based automation technology. The results of this study hope that digital customized automation technology will meet various needs of personalization and customization and present the future direction of digital fashion technology, where fashion brands will expand based on the spread of digital technology.

This paper proposed a new technology to control a path forging parts in limited narrow space of manufacturing process automation for smart factory. In the motion control, we adapted the obstacle avoidance technology based on ultrasonic sensors. The new motion control performance test for a mobile robot is experimented in narrow space environments. The travelling path control is performed by a fuzzy control logic. which plays a role for selecting an appropriate behavior in accordance with the situation in the vicinity of the mobile robot. Ultrasonic sensors installed at the front face of the mobile robot are used. In order to update the current position and heading angle of the mobile robot, a new approch is adapted. The reliability is illustrated by simulation and experiments.

A single action press robot, which consists of a driving unit, rotator, up-down feed base and feed bar, is developed and applied for the press automation. The driving unit is made up with a face cam and blade cam, which have a phase angle. The feeding system consists of a double speed-up apparatus and linear motion guides, and has a fast motion characteristics. A horizontal feeding speed of the feed bar is increased twice by the double speed-up apparatus. The driving mechanism could be simplified due to the speed-up of the feeding unit.
