  • Objective : As the meaning of collective medical examination, the purpose of this study is to investigate distribution of weak children by measurement according to the five group of weakness (Lung, Heart, Pancreas, Liver, Kidney), and the relationship between the five group of weakness and the Growth failure on primary school children. Methods : This study is composed of 1078 children who attend A primary school in ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ city. They are divided into 6 groups by grade and for the purpose of effective comparison, The five weak symptoms are studied to determine the association with growth stature among children and we standardize the weak children's height into percent according to age. Results: When each weak children controled grade, sex, body-weight, existence or nonexistence of personal history, physical exercise so on, relatively group of weakness for kidney is statistically less then opposite group and the rest of the people statistically have no significant difference. Conclusions: From the above result, it is suggested that the statistical relationship between the weakness for kidney and growth(p<0.001). It looks forward to have contributed to collective medical examination and children's health care by oriental medical treatment.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between normal adults' resting calcaneal stance position(RCSP) and postural sway. Subjects were 70 normal adults(34 men and 36 women) in their twenties who attend S. University. Postural sway during a single limb stance was measured using the CMS 10 Measuring System when subjects positioned on the balance trainer in their bare foot. RCSP while subjects were standing on the glass plate was measured using the angle tinder after subjects were positioned in prone to divide equally lower leg and calcaneus using the goniometer. The result was as follows. There were significant weak positive correlations between RCSP and postural sway(r=0.362, p<0.01), the leg of the small RCSP within a subject has the small postural sway index($X^2=43.758$, p<0.001). There was no significant difference between groups of rearfoot valgus(RCSp<$2^{\circ}$) and those of rearfoot varus (RCSp>$2^{\circ}$) in the postural sway. In conclusion, there is a weak relationship between increasing the absolute value of RCSP and increasing postural sway.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the reactions of emergency department nurses to violence. Methods: Q-methodology which provides a method of analyzing the subjectivity of each item was used. Thirty emergency department nurses classified 33 selected Q-statements into a normal distribution using a 9 point scale. The collected data was analyzed using the Quanl PC Program. Results: Three types of reactions to violence were identified. The first type(emotional and physical reactions) showed a sense of regret on the selection of an occupation and emotional and physical reactions such as anxiety, fear, depression, hopelessness, heart palpitations and trembling hands due to the violence. The second type(problem solving) actively coped to prevent the occurrence of violence, grasped the causes of violence and sought out a problem solving plan. The third type(anger reactions) felt a lot of anger against violence, and resented their reality of working under conditions of inadequately secured facilities and systems. Conclusion: The emotional and physical reactions type and the anger reactions type should be required to attend educational programs to improve attitudes and abilities to solve the problems in a more active and positive manner.

The findings were as follows: 1) The time management behaviors of the participants were lower than average, scoring 2.87 out of 5. The order of dimensional scores from highest to lowest were sequencing, planning, recording habits, evaluating, and setting goals. 2) Time management satisfaction and parenting stress for the participants exhibited a negative correlation. 3) Adaptation behaviors of the children and time management behaviors of the mothers were factors that had significant effects on the mothers' parenting stress. These results showed the importance of time management for mothers with developmentally disabled children.

  • Background: Although nuclear disaster is considered rare, its effects are serious, and we must prepare a system to enable an effective response. Materials and Methods: Since 2010, we have been offering a two-day seminar to provide current nurses and radiological technologists with basic knowledge and train them in radiation emergency medicine (REM) techniques. This training offers lectures to deepen each specialty from the perspective of REM, as well as exercises on ways to handle irradiated and/or contaminated patients. Participants were expected to treat patients according to the concept of REM. Results and Discussion: All participants learn to assess and decontaminate contaminated wounds through drills. The questionnaire survey for participants indicated that participants were satisfied with this training and wanted to attend again. Conclusion: We believe that this training course will provide a valuable opportunity for medical professionals to gain knowledge and expertise in REM.

  • I guess that e-learning buying behaviors have some selection criteria which are interactivity, contents quality, perceived usefulness, and corporate reputation. And I propose that the effects of selection criteria on adaptation intention are moderated by buyer-user status. To accomplish research purpose, I conducted a field survey with a self-administered questionnaire in both user-buyer and analysed the causal relations among the variables by regression analysis. Findings are these. In all of the customer, interactivity, perceived usefulness, and corporate reputation had positive effects on re-attending intention to another e-learning class. In case of users(students), interactivity, contents quality, and perceived usefulness had positive effects, but buyer(parents) showed both perceived usefulness and corporate reputation had positive effects on re-attending intention.

The subjects of this study were 129 five-year old children and their 7 teachers who attend 3 kindergarten in Busan. They completed Attachment Story Completion Task(ASCT), Attachment Q-set and Peer Competence Measure. Collected data were analyzed using t-test and two-way ANOVA. The major results of this study were as follows: First, for mother, children who were securely attached showed higher peer competence than children who were insecurely attached. Girls showed higher peer competence than boys. No significant differences were found between securely attached and insecurely attached children with teachers. Girls showed higher peer competence than boys. Second, children who were attached both mother and teacher or either mother or teacher showed higher competence than children who were insecurely attached with both mother and teacher.

  • Purpose: This study has investigated experience of middle aged women who attended a self help group to overcome midlife crisis. Methods: To analyze types of experience that middle aged women attending the self help group went through to overcome midlife crisis, Q-methodology has been used. The 32 selected Q-samples from each of 27 subjects were classified into a shape of normal distribution using a 9-point scale. The collected data were analyzed using a QUANL PC program. The 38 selected Q-samples from each of 27 subjects were classified into a shape of normal distribution using a 9-point scale. The collected data were analyzed using a QUANL PC program. Results: The types of experience were classified into four categories; Type I (attempt to change), Type II (devoted to my role), Type III (tolerance and acceptance) and Type IV (role as a senior citizen). Conclusion: This study is significant in that it has attempted to analyze the approach and usefulness of a self-help group program. It is suggestive that a local society support group may be necessary to help people with midlife crisis and further studies for nursing intervention and strategic development are required.

  • POEMS syndrome is a multisystem disorder associated with polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, a monoclonal protein(M-protein), and skin change. Recently we have had the opportunity to attend one patient with clinical features similar to this syndrome. He was a 46-year-old man who had a progressive polyneuropathy, swallowing difficulty, hepatosplenomegaly, hypothyroidism, IgA ${\lambda}type$ monoclonal gammapathy, specific skin change and ascites. His symptoms such as low extrimity pain and weakness, swallowing difficulty were improved by high-dose 7S-IgG. Thus, we report a case with a review of the literature.
