This tutorial paper has been written for biologists, physicians or beginners in fuzzy sets theory and applications. This field is introduced in the framework of medical diagnosis problems. The paper describes and illustrates with practical examples, a general methodology of special interest in the processing of borderline cases, that allows a graded assignment of diagnoses to patients. A pattern of medical knowledge consists of a tableau with linguistic entries or of fuzzy propositions. Relationships between symptoms and diagnoses are interpreted as labels of fuzzy sets. It is shown how possibility measures (soft matching) can be used and combined to derive diagnoses after measurements on collected data. The concepts and methods are illustrated in a biomedical application on inflammatory protein variations. In the case of poor diagnostic classifications, it is introduced appropriate ponderations, acting on the characterizations of proteins, in order to decrease their relative influence. As a consequence, when pattern matching is achieved, the final ranking of inflammatory syndromes assigned to a given patient might change to better fit the actual classification. Defuzzification of results (i.e. diagnostic groups assigned to patients) is performed as a non fuzzy sets partition issued from a "separating power", and not as the center of gravity method commonly employed in fuzzy control. It is then introduced a model of fuzzy connectionist expert system, in which an artificial neural network is designed to build the knowledge base of an expert system, from training examples (this model can also be used for specifications of rules in fuzzy logic control). Two types of weights are associated with the connections: primary linguistic weights, interpreted as labels of fuzzy sets, and secondary numerical weights. Cell activation is computed through MIN-MAX fuzzy equations of the weights. Learning consists in finding the (numerical) weights and the network topology. This feed forward network is described and illustrated in the same biomedical domain as in the first part.
The purpose of this study is to conduct an in-depth examination into the cause of stress as well as reasons for turnover relative to fashion industry workers in their 20s-30s, thereby seeking effective improvement methods to reduce turnover. The study method consisted of one-on-one in-depth interviews to collect data on 15 fashion industry workers. Results were as follow. First, causes of stress for fashion industry workers in their 20s-30s include work related factors, interpersonal relations, and organizational culture, while the most frequently mentioned reasons for turnover were concerns about career track and aptitude as well as annual salary, revealing that self-improvement related growth potential is the most significant factor for turnover. Second, it was not one stress factor that influenced turnover but a composite of several stress factors that motivated individuals to change jobs. Last, time flexibility, self-esteem, and development potential were critical factors for turnover. Self-esteem and development potential that provide a sense of acknowledgment were especially emphasized as the most significant, revealing that the younger generation considers personal happiness to be critical and the more this aspect is not treated adequately the more the odds of choosing turnover. To mitigate this issue, an in-house educational system for self-development and an assignment rotation system must be adopted for workers to change to positions that fit their aptitude.
The Serial Securities and the Social Welfare, as the national policy aimed at securing generals' lives, are the policies or systems for the stabilization in lift; especially of law-incomers and workers, for which the povernment has to establish the Social Security System. No wonder the Social Insurance System is a part of the Social Security System and the most important. The Social Insurance System, along with Public Assistance, is underlying the Social Security System. Social Security System includes medical insurance, industrial accident Compensation insurance, national pention insurance and employment insurance. The study is on 'The Oriental Medical Insurance and the Industrial Accident Compensation in the Social Security System' . The rate of industrial accident in Korea marks the highest rank in the world. for laborer, industrial accident do not merely mean the loss of health but the question of the right to live in terms of their loss of opportunity of life. The industrial accident compensation system should be established as the es post facto remedy system to guarantee the injured worker and his/her family's life. The oriental medical insurance system which began to operate in 1987 in Korea is based on unionism and divided into 3 parts; one part for the worker, a second part for the community inhabitants, and a third part for the public service personnel and private school personnel. Today the medical problem must be the most important social assignment to be considered. The medical system of contemporary industrial society has began greatly stood out in relief as a part of social welfare not emphasized on gainings of physicians. Accordingly systematization of the oriental medical insurance was strongly Pursued and it was developed to to the extent of entire nation insurance. Though the history of it is very short, most of the people are getting benefit from the insurance system by the social security system method. This study develops the Oriental Medical Insurance, the Workmen's Accident Compensation Insurance, the Pension System in relation to the industrial accident compensation of Employees, along with the ideas and principles of social insurance.
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to explore the students injuries by analyzing the data which has been inputted by the emergency center of the cooperated hospitals and the 119 rescue party through the injury surveillance system in Cheonan city. Method : Students were divided into the elementary, middle, high school students with the 776 cases of children and teenagers(7-19years old) of injury surveillance system in Cheonan area from january to june in 2009. Frequency analysis and $x^2$-test was done to recognize the features of students injuries among the groups. The program to be used for the statistical analysis is SPSS 17.0. Result : Out of the injury incidence rate, the elementary school students(52.1%) are first, the high school students (24.9%) are second, the middle school students appear to be 23.1%. Male is about two times higher than female by 66.6% in the injury incidence. In terms of the injury mechanism, the injury(22.2%) by hit is the first, the traffic accident(21.5%) is the second, the slippery(16.8%) is followed. The injuries were occurred most largely at 16:00-20:00(33.4%), and the 33.6% of injury by daily leisure activity occurs at 16:00-20:00 chiefly. Conclusion : Analysis using the data of the injury surveillance system has some advantages compared to the previous research such as reliability and specification. To prevent the students injuries, not the individual problem but the social dimension should be acknowledged so that we can secure and promote the safety from the risk. Therefore, we must organize the role assignment and the cooperative network in the school, home and community.

With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and changes in the educational environment, team-based assignments are increasing in university classes. Effective team formation in team-based class is an important issue that affects students' satisfaction and the effectiveness of education. However, previous studies mostly focused on post analysis on the results of team formation, which makes it difficult to use them in actual classes. In this paper, we present a mathematical model of how to create a balanced team that reflects students' abilities and other characteristics. Characteristic values for assignment may be scores, such as students' proficiency, binary values such as gender, and multi-values, such as grade or department. This problem is a type of equitable partitioning problem, which takes the form of 0-1 integer programming, and the objective function is linear or nonlinear, depending on how balance is achieved. The basic model or the extended model presented can be applied to the situation where teams are balanced in consideration of various factors in actual class.

The handoff is a distinctive characteristic of the mobile networks. In the CDMA systems, if base stations support multiple Frequency Assignment (FA), they provide both soft handoff and hard handoff. Under the CDMA environments, the soft handoff guarantees the favorable service quality and the continuity of call connection without interruption, and increases the service capacity of the base stations. This paper proposes call connection control schemes with handoff queue for supporting efficient handoff processing. The proposed schemes are divided into two categories: single handoff queue scheme and multiple handoff queue scheme. We analyze the performance of the proposed call connection control schemes using numerical analysis. From the analysis results, we can say that it is more desirable to avoid hard handoff as long as handoff queues are used. When a single handoff queue used, adaptive scheme that properly mixes avoidable and avoidable hard handoff method under the given traffic condition is more desirable. In case that multiple handoff queues are used, the suitable trade-off needs to be developed between handoff blocking probability and hard handoff probability to guarantee a given blocking probability threshold.

In this paper, a triple controlled type DDFS-driven PLL frequency synthesizer with reduced complexity is used to show its applications for broadband wireless communication systems by frequency synthesis control. Since the proposed DDFS-driven PLL synthesizer is very simplified to use only phase accumulator in DDFS, it improves the switching speed and power consumption than the conventional DDFS-driven PLL frequency synthesizer. It is appropriate for applications with requirements of broadband, low-power consumption and high switching speed, since the proposed synthesizer can cover a wide range of frequency bands by the triple frequency control parameters. Method and results of frequency control parameters assignment are shown for the several frequency bands applications such as GSM, IMT-2000, Bluetooth and PCS system.

Given a bill of materials (BOM) tree T labeled by the breadth first search (BFS) order from node 0 to node n and a general network ${\Im}=(V,A)$, where V={1,2,...,m} is the set of production facilities and A is the set of arcs representing transportation links between any of two facilities, we assume that each node of T stands for not only a component. but also a production stage which is a possible stocking point and operates under a periodic review base-stock policy, We also assume that the random demand which can be achieved by a suitable service level only occurs at the root node 0 of T and has a normal distribution $N({\mu},{\sigma}^2)$. Then our integrated model of facility location problems and safety stock optimization problem (FLP&SSOP) is to identify both the facility locations at which partitioned subtrees of T are produced and the optimal assignment of safety stocks so that the sum of production cost, inventory holding cost, and transportation cost is minimized while meeting the pre-specified service level for the final product. In this paper, we first formulate (FLP&SSOP) as a nonlinear integer programming model and show that it can be reformulated as a 0-1 linear integer programming model with an exponential number of decision variables. We then show that the linear programming relaxation of the reformulated model has an integrality property which guarantees that it can be optimally solved by a column generation method.

This paper presents a new TIQ based CMOS flash 6-bit ADC to process digital signal in real time. In order to improve the conversion speed of ADC by designing new logic or layout of ADC circuits, a new design method is proposed in encoding logic circuits. The proposed encoding circuits convert analog input into digitally encoded double base number system(DBNS), which uses two bases unlike the normal binary representation scheme. The DBNS adopts binary and ternary radix to enhance digital arithmetic processing capability. In the DBNS, the addition and multiplication can be processed with just shift operations only. Finding near canonical representation is the most important work in general DBNS. But the main disadvantage of DBNS representation in ADC is the fan-in problem. Thus, an equal distribution algorithm is developed to solve the fan-in problem after assignment the prime numbers first. The conversion speed of simulation result was 1.6 GSPS, at 1.8V power with the Magna $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process, and the maximum power consumption was 38.71mW.
Given the difficulties investors would encounter in pleading and proving their claims in court, they may well be better off in a system where less attention is paid to the law and more to the equities of the actual dispute before the arbitration panel. While this is not a system where accountability and predictability of results can be achieved, investors may fare better than they might expect. It follows then that if equitable considerations enhance rather than subtract from investors' chances of recovery, then investors need not worry about the consequences of the arbitrators' failure to apply the law. This article tracked the evolution of the arbitration process, through amendments to the pertinent securities arbitration codes of procedure, from an informal proceeding into a quasi-judicial one. Subsequently, I examined the practical difficulties arbitrators encounter in their efforts to apply the law. The Court in McMahon assumed arbitrators would apply the law and that the “manifest disregard” standard would provide sufficient judicial oversight to ensure that they did. But there is no meaningful review of arbitration awards to assure arbitrators are applying the law. Arbitration awards have no value as precedent for future arbitrations. Accordingly, there appears to be little reason to write such an award, particularly if the end result is an award immune from challenge no matter how the panel ruled. In these days, securities arbitration as a disputes resolution system is becoming a more popular practice. The trend of the courts in America has been to enforce arbitration agreements. Moreover arbitration helps alleviate some of the burden of a heavy caseload from the judiciary and is a viable method to resolve disputes in a relatively quick and efficient manner. Therefore I think it would be necessary to introduce securities arbitration system to our disputes resolution system Compared to American practices, there could be, of course, many differences in recognition on arbitration and legal structure in our country. Thus it will be an assignment to consider seriously and carefully what kind of securities arbitration system will be proper for us.
