다순환 여과시험에 의한 자동차용 연료필터의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of an Automotive Fuel Filter by Multi-Pass Filtration Test)

  • Filtration performance of an automotive fuel filter was evaluated based on the theory of Beta ratio. This study also introduced the fuel components' contamination performance test stand incorporating the multi-pass filtration test circuit. The theoretical basis of multi-pass test and test procedure were described in detail. The specification of commercial fuel filter currently available was just the maximum pressure drop across the filter assembly and the holding capacity of contaminants. However, test results revealed that the fuel filter tested could not maintain consistent Beta ratio, that is filtration efficiency, although it had the holding capacity close to the specification. Hence the Beta ratio should be specified in service life. The results also showed that filtration system model should be refined including desorption ratio to estimate the variable Beta ratio in the test.

  • A transport theory code CRX-Hex based on characteristic methods with a general geometric tracking routine is developed for the heterogeneous hexagonal geometry. With the general geometric tracking routine, the formulation of the characteristic method is not changed. To test the code, it was applied to two benchmark problems which consist of complex meshes and compared with other codes (HELIOS, TWOHEX).

Prediction of the welding distortion of large steel structure with mechanical restraint using equivalent load methods

  • The design dimension may not be satisfactory at the final stage due to the welding during the assembly stage, leading to cutting or adding the components in large structure constructions. The productivity is depend on accuracy of the welding quality especially at assembly stage. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to decide the component dimension during each assembly stage considering the above situations during the designing stage by exactly predicting welding deformation before the welding is done. Further, if the system that predicts whether welding deformation is equipped, it is possible to take measures to reduce deformation through FE analysis, helping in saving time for correcting work by arresting the parts which are prone to having welding deformation. For the FE analysis to predict the deformation of a large steel structure, calculation time, modeling, constraints in each assembly stage and critical welding length have to be considered. In case of fillet welding deformation, around 300 mm is sufficient as a critical welding length of the specimen as proposed by the existing researches. However, the critical length in case of butt welding is around 1000 mm, which is far longer than that suggested in the existing researches. For the external constraint, which occurs as the geometry of structure is changed according to the assembly stage, constraint factor is drawn from the elastic FE analysis and test results, and the magnitude of equivalent force according to constraint is decided. The comparison study for the elastic FE analysis result and measurement for the large steel structure based on the above results reveals that the analysis results are in the range of 80-118% against measurement values, both matching each other well. Further, the deformation of fillet welding in the main plate among the total block occupies 66-89%, making welding deformation in the main plate far larger than the welding deformation in the longitudinal and transverse girders.

광학위성 카메라전자부 EMC 시험결과의 시스템 양립성 검토 (EMC Compatibility Analysis of CEU EMC test results in the Optical Satellite System)

  • 지구관측을 위한 광학위성에 탑재되는 고해상도 영상 획득을 목적으로 하는 위성카메라의 카메라전자부(CEU : Camera Electronic Unit)는 CC(Camera Controller)와 FPA(Focal Plane Assembly), CEUP(CEU Power supply)로 구성된다. 본 논문은 광학위성 탑재체(CEU)의 전자파시험결과와 이를 토대로 한 시스템 양립성 검토결과를 설명하였다. CEU의 1차 전자파시험은 전도성 방출시험, 전도성 감응시험, 복사성 방출시험 및 복사성 감응시험을 수행하였고 2차 시험에서는 1차 시험에서 규격을 만족하지 못함으로서 시스템 성능에 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있는 복사성 방출시험과 복사성 감응시험을 차폐제를 이용하여 기구적인 차폐를 보강 후 수행하였다. 2차 시험결과에 대한 시스템 양립성은 탑재체(CEU)에서 방출하는 노이즈의 주파수성분이 위성의 GPS/S-Band 수신 성능에 미치는 영향성을 분석하였다. 기구적인 차폐보강이 전제되었을 때, 두 수신대역 내에서 발생하고 있는 노이즈 주파수성분에 대하여 6dB 이상의 마진을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

GFRP 도어 임팩트 빔과 Steel 브래킷의 기계적 결합에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Mechanical Mounting between GFRP Door Impact Beam and Steel Brackets)

  • The mounting performance of the GFRP(Glass fiber Reinforced Plastic) beam and the mechanical mounting of the steel bracket was studied to be mounted as a GFRP impact beam on the side door of the passenger car. Moreover, an open-hole tensile test was performed to evaluate breakage tendency based on GFRP stacking conditions. Furthermore, the tightening strength of rivets and bolts was compared using the single lap-shear tension test for the GFRP stacking pattern. Additionally, the GFRP beam and bracket mounting features were designed; moreover, the prototype and bracket were assembled. Additionally, the bracket mounting bending test and the door assembly static bending test were performed to verify the stability of the bracket mounting. In the bracket fastening bending test, no breakage occurred in the connection part between the GFRP beam and the bracket, and it showed 67% (24.4 kN) improved performance compared to steel. In the static bending test of the door assembly, the initial average reaction force increased by 25% compared to the steel, and the performance of all FMVSS-214 regulations was satisfied. The replacement of GFRP impact beams resulted in a 30% weight reduction

차체 소재 다변화에 따른 체결 및 접합기술 (Mechanical fastening and joining technologies to using multi mixed materials of car body)

  • The ultimate goal of developing body is revealed the "lightweight" at latest EuroCarBody conference 2012 and the most core technology is joining process to make lightweight car body design. Accordingly, in this study, the car body assembly line for the assembly process applies to any introduction, particularly in the assembly of aluminum alloy and composite materials applied by the process for the introductory approached. Process were largely classified by welding (laser, arc, resistance, and friction stir welding), bonding (epoxy bonding) and mechanical fastening (FDS, SPR, Bolting and clinching). Applications for each process issues in the case and the applicable award was presented, based on the absolute strength of the test specimens and joining characteristics for comparative analysis were summarized. Finally, through this paper, we would tried to establish the characteristics of the joint for lightweight structure.

외경연삭 휠 주축의 진동특성에 미치는 플랜지 결합부의 영향 (Effects of Flange Joint on the Dynamic Characteristics of the External Cylindrical Grinding Wheel Spindle)

  • In the grinding process, generally, the exciting forces with high frequency can be generated due to the wheel wear and the grinding process. As the grinding speed increases, the precise investigation about the wheel dynamic characteristics is required. Conventionally the wheel-spindle has been considered with lumped model in dynamic modeling. With this lumped model, the significant mode resulted from the shell mode of wheel can be readily ignored. This paper suggests the new analysis model which includes the shell mode of wheel in modeling the wheel-spindle assembly. Furthermore, based on the suggested model, the effects of the bolt tightening force and the taper tightening force on the dynamic properties are investigated by the finite element modal analysis and the experimental method. As a result of investigation, the shell mode vibration of wheel affects the dynamic characteristics of the spindle assembly. Also, the vibration modes of the spindle assembly are significantly affected by the joint tightening forces.

WACFI: 웹 어셈블리에서의 간접호출 명령어 보호를 위한 코드 계측 기술 (WACFI: Code Instrumentation Technique for Protection of Indirect Call in WebAssembly)

  • 웹 어셈블리는 웹 환경에서 수행 가능한 명령어 형식을 일컫는다. 최근 웹 어셈블리의 성능적인 우수함 때문에 다양한 웹 애플리케이션에서 웹 어셈블리가 활용되고 있다. 하지만 본 논문에서는 보안 관점에서 웹 어셈블리의 간접호출 명령어에 대한 보호 기능에 취약한 부분이 있다는 것을 알게 되었고, 이에 이러한 웹 어셈블리에서의 간접호출 명령어의 보호를 위한 코드 계측 기술인 WACFI를 제안한다. 구체적으로 WACFI에서는 소스 코드 분석을 통해 얻은 정보를 활용해 웹 어셈블리 코드를 수정하여 웹 어셈블리의 간접호출 명령어 보호 기능을 강화하였다. 우리의 실험결과에 따르면 WACFI는 단지 약 2.75%의 성능 부하만으로 이러한 보안 기능을 제공하는 것으로 확인되었다.

Data analysis of simulated fuel-loaded sea transportation tests under normal conditions of transport

  • In this study, to evaluate the shock and vibration load characteristics of used fuel, a sea transportation test was conducted using simulated fuel assemblies under normal transport conditions. An overall test data analysis was performed based on the measured strain and acceleration data obtained from cruise, rotation, acceleration, braking, depth of water, and rolling tests. In addition, shock response spectrum and power spectral densities were obtained for each test case. Amplification and attenuation characteristics were investigated based on the load path. The load was amplified as it passed from the overpack to the simulated used fuel-assembly. As a result of the RMS trend analysis, the fuel-loading position of the transportation package affected the measured strain in the fuel rod, and the maximum strains were obtained at the spans with large spacing. However, even these maximum strains were very small compared to the fatigue strength and the cladding yield strength. Moreover, the fuel rods located on the side exhibited a larger strain value than those at the center.

  • This paper describes the test techniques that are used for the implementation test of signalling link function in the signalling system No.7 recommended by 0703 in CCITT red book. The test scenarios are produced by means of the state transition diagrams which are based on the specification of CCITT recommendation 0703. This test scenarios consist of five independent tasks written in MC68000 assembly language and are scheduled to be executed in multitasking kernel. This test scenarios can also be used to test signalling link function implemented in the different environment.
