This study intends to identify applicability of natural dye extracted from Aplysia kurodai, aiming to standardization of Aplysia kurodai natural dyeing through scientific validation by analyzing characteristics of pigment elements to review dyeability, colorfastness and antibacterial activity. Such material as silk fabrics that is animal fiber were used for this purpose, and derived following summarized results. UV/VIS spectrum analysis on the pigment of Aplysia kurodai that was extracted from purple gland showed that maximum absorbtion was near 540 nm. The silk fabric optimal dyeing can be achieved at a temperature of $55^{\circ}C$ with a colorant concentration of 5%. Dyed at $55^{\circ}C$ with interval of 10~90 minutes for identifying dye uptake over time to observed slow increase of dye uptake over time, and equilibrium occurred at 50 minutes. For dye uptake according to pH, while dye uptake was superior in acidity, it decreased rapidly in a base after pH 7. For color changes according to pH variation, it was reddish purple in acidity and was purplish red in a base. For color changes according to mordanting method, more clear color change had been obtained when process with aluminium pre-mordanting than non-mordanting and post-mordanting. The colorfastness to light, perspiration and washing was 1, 4~5, and 3~4 ratings respectively. The silk fabric dyed with Aplysia kurodai demonstrated excellent antimicrobial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. The Aplysia kurodai can be used as a new colorant for the natural dyeing of silk.
In order to cultivate the talents acquired in the fourth industrial revolution, developed countries' government are actively engaged in the campaigns encouraging K-12 students to participate in the maker movement. Maker education is regarded as one possible solution based on high tech in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and it is spreading widely along with STEM education. In South Korea, STEAM education was actively conducted nationwide, and since 2017, STEAM and maker education have been linked showing mutual development. However, compared to STEAM education linked to the curriculum, comparison and activity-based research on maker education for teenagers is still insufficient. Therefore, this study aimed to suggest implications for STEAM education and maker education by analyzing the motivation of Korean youth to participate in maker activities. The subjects of this study are high school students who participated in maker education programs in student community for the first time in Korea. In this study, students were classified into engineering-related career group and non-engineering-related career groups based on their career intentions, and the motivation and understanding of participation in maker activities were compared. As a result of the study, male students participated more in maker education community activities than female students, and the engineering-related career group had a higher intention to participate in games, outdoor activities, IT equipment, digital production, and electrical/electronic production activities than the non-engineering-related career group. In addition, in the fields of handicraft/art, home baking, installing, and horticultural agriculture, there was no difference in the intention of participate in the engineering-related career group and the non-engineering-related career group. It was found that the engineering-related career group believed that there was a strong relationship between the maker education community activity, career exploration and future career choice, while the non-engineering-related career group believed that the relationship is less strong. It was also found that the engineering-related career group was participating more actively in the maker activity than the other group.
The purposes of this study are to measure physiological reactions of human body according to the scalp treatment, a popularized service in beauty care industry and propose efficient ways of scalp treatment. To meet the goals, total 30 applicants without any medical history(5 males and 5 females in 20's, 30's and 40's respectively) were informed on the purpose of experiment hereof and were investigated and received a 30-minute scalp treatment, which combines standardized scalp treatment massage technique proposed by KAT and ITF with another massage technique operated in the beauty salon run by the author of this paper. 5ml of blood samples were taken from each subject before and after the scalp treatment respectively and the blood sample was divided into 3 different tubes for analysis: 1) 2 ml for blood cell analysis, 2) 2ml for enzyme activity measurement, 3) 1ml for hormone level reading. In order to determine effects of scalp treatment on ALP, GOT, GPT, ${\gamma}-GTP$, WBC, RBC, Hb, Hct, Platelet, MCV, MCH and MCHC, all collected data were used for measuring respective levels of these blood substances by means of enzyme reaction measurement, enzyme activity measurement and automated hematology analyzer. Then, all measured data were analyzed through paired t-test using SPSS WIN 11.5. As a result, the scalp treatment is associated with improving hepatic function, facilitating blood circulation and helping blood coagulation and hemostasis in a effective way. Therefore, it would be necessary to conduct further studies on this subject related to anemia in the future.

The purpose of this study is to examine the potential of flip learning in Korea and to explore the possibilities of university English education. To this end, participants are sought for classes wherein general English class is taught and the researcher is in charge of teaching. 25 students of media-English class is chosen for the study. Instruments for the study include class evaluation and feedbacks, mid-term and final exams, group performative evaluation, on-line class views and participations. The findings of the study are: As students progress in flipped learning classes, their exam results significantly improved, and their performative evaluation results also improved significant across different groups. The effects are more eminent among higher levels of students, but students with mid and low level of English still improved significantly once they engage themselves in preview activity on a regular basis and self-directedly.
As online learning continues to be extended, many engineering colleges are engaged in online learning activities. One of the core competencies required of engineering students in a knowledge-convergence society is communication skills. Online discussion activities are frequently used in educational field to improve communication skills. Efforts are being made to provide visual dashboards in online discussion activity systems to more effectively support online discussion activities. However there is less qualitative studies on students' experience in discussion activities. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of engineering students participating in discussion activities using online discussion systems and visual dashboards. We interviewed 15 students who participated in online discussion activities to achieve their research objectives about their experience in utilizing the online discussion system, their perception of visual dashboards, and their experience in discussion activities. As a result of the study, students' perception of the use of the online discussion activity system, the visual dashboard, and the perception of a sense of social presence were understood. To be more effective in providing tool support, such as discussion activity systems and visual dashboards in online discussion activities, instructors need to understand the nature of learners' online discussion activities.

COVID-19 has caused a global disturbance, increased anxiety, and panic, eliciting diverse reactions. While its cure has not been discovered, new infection cases and fatalities are being recorded daily. The focus of the present study was to analyze the reaction of gifted undergraduate students on social media during the quarantine period of the COVID-19. A special group of gifted students, who joined the program of attracting and nurturing talents at the University of Jeddah, University students as were the target sample of this study. To analyze online reactions during the pandemic; the choice of university students was arrived at as they are perceived to be gifted academically. Hence, the analysis of the impacts on their behavior on social media use is imperative. This study presented accurate and consistent data on the effects of social media using Twitter platforms on gifted students during the quarantine occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. The behavior of learners due to during the use of social media was extensively explored and results analyzed. The study was carried out between April and May 2020 (quarantine period in Saudi Arabia) to establish whether the online behavior of gifted students reflects positive or negative feelings. The methods used in conducting this study the research were online interviews and scraping participants' Twitter accounts (where most of the online activities and studies take place). The study employed the Activity theory to analyze the behavior of gifted students on social media. The sample size used was 60 students, and the analysis of their behavior was based on Activity theory Overall, the results showed proactive, positive behavior for coping with a challenging situation, educating society, and entertaining. Finally, this study recommends investing in gifted students due to their valuable problem-solving skills that can help handle global pandemics efficiently.

This study was conducted to determine the extent to which music and art education had an effect on relieving depression and stress caused by COVID-19 and social distancing for teenagers in Seoul. To this end, with the cooperation of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, an official document was issued to elementary, middle, and high schools in Seoul, and a study on the current status of about 1,745 students was conducted. Therefore, this study intends to prove through this study that music activity can significantly contribute to relieving depression and stress in adolescents on the basis that COVID-19 has a significant effect on the induction of depression and stress in adolescents. To this end, based on previous research, while examining the changes in the psychological state of Koreans due to COVID-19, we would like to analyze the depression and stress of adolescents intensively. And by experiencing music activities, it will be confirmed that depression and stress caused by COVID-19 can be relieved to a large extent through physiological and emotional changes. Furthermore, based on the survey, we intend to suggest that music activities will help adolescents to improve their emotional stability, cultural sensitivity, and self-esteem, and ultimately develop into healthy cultural people in terms of education.
Walking can have a positive impact on cognitive function in adolescents. This study aimed to compare the effects of walking with sneakers and barefoot on cognitive ability in adolescents. Fifty-nine adolescent male students were included in the study and assigned to the control (n = 20), sneaker (n = 19), and barefoot (n = 20) groups. The barefoot and sneakers group performed a 40-min walking exercise four times a week for 12 weeks during the morning physical activity time, while the control group performed self-study. Electroencephalogram (EEG) and brain activity variables were measured before and after the exercise program. The results showed that after 12 weeks, the barefoot group had a significant decrease in Gamma and H-beta waves and a significant increase in sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) and Alpha waves. Conversely, the control group showed a significant decrease in SMR waves and increase in Theta waves. The sneaker group showed a significant decrease in SMR waves alone. In an eyes-open resting state, the barefoot group showed a significant increase in H-beta, M-beta, SMR, and Alpha waves. The barefoot group also had a significant increase in cognitive speed and concentration and a significant decrease in brain stress. Taken together, barefoot walking can effectively enhance cognitive ability in adolescents, as demonstrated by the significant variation in EEG activity. This research highlights the potential benefits of barefoot walking as a simple and effective form of exercise for enhancing cognitive function in adolescents.
This study identifies the impact of celebrity stylists' individual psychographic characteristics, including their lifestyle, and social characteristics, including person-environment fit on their job commitment and satisfaction. A survey was conducted with currently working celebrity stylists, and a total of 203 responses were analyzed using descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The results of the factor analysis and reliability test on celebrity stylists' lifestyle and person-environment fit clearly revealed factorial structures, respectively. 2) Regarding the results of the influences of celebrity stylists' lifestyle on their job commitment and satisfaction, respondents who had higher new information-oriented, success-oriented, and conservation-oriented, but lower outdoor activity-oriented lifestyle tended to show higher job commitment and role satisfaction of job satisfaction. 3) Respondents who had higher person-job fit, person-organization fit, person-celebrity fit, and person-coworker fit tended to demonstrate a higher level of job commitment and role satisfaction of job satisfaction. Both celebrity stylists' lifestyle and person-environment, which revealed to have a significant relationship to their job commitment and satisfaction, could be used as an index to evaluate potential employees' job attitudes for recruiting celebrity stylist.

Objectives: The major objective of this study was to develop and validate a tier 1 exposure model utilizing worker exposure monitoring data and characteristics of worker activities routinely performed at construction sites, in order to estimate worker exposures without sampling. Methods: The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals(REACH) system of the European Union(EU) allows the usage of exposure models for anticipating chemical exposure of manufacturing workers and consumers. Several exposure models have been developed such as Advanced REACH Tools(ART). The ART model is based on structured subjective assessment model. Using the same framework, a tier 1 exposure model has been developed. Worker activities at construction sites have been analyzed and modifying factors have been assigned for each activity. Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency(KOSHA) accrued work exposure monitoring data for the last 10 years, which were retrieved and converted into exposure scores. A separate set of sampling data were collected to validate the developed exposure model. These algorithm have been realized on Excel spreadsheet for convenience and easy access. Results: The correlation coefficient of the developed model between exposure scores and monitoring data was 0.36, which is smaller than those of EU models(0.6~0.7). One of the main reasons explaining the discrepancy is poor description on worker activities in KOSHA database. Conclusions: The developed tier 1 exposure model can help industrial hygienists judge whether or not air sampling is required or not.
