중공사 나노여과막에 의한 방향족 농약의 제거에서 흡착의 영향 (Effect of Adsorption on the Removal of Aromatic Pesticides by Hollow Fiber NF Membrane)

  • This study examined the adsorption effect of aromatic pesticides by hollow fiber NF membrane on rejection and removal properties. Batch type adsorption test and hollow fiber NF membrane filtration were conducted with 5 different kinds of aromatic pesticides. 3 to 15 days were required to reach the equilibrium concentration and $0.3181{\sim}0.8094{\mu}g/cm^2$ were adsorbed to hollow fiber NF membrane. Since 5 hours of separation test were too short to keep steady state for permeate due to the repetition of sorption and desorption, longer times were required to evaluate the rejection performance of NF membrane. Sorption and desorption were confirmed by the separation test equipped with membrane and without membrane. Adsorption contribution of aromatic pesticides to hollow fiber membranes were shown to be ranged from 16.1% to 36.3% and indicated the difference considering sorption effect.

  • The rejection properties of 6 aromatic pesticides were evaluated by a continuous flow system equipped with a hollow fiber NF membrane. Different from the separation experiment of batch cell, the rejection and the removal could be calculated exactly because the concentration of feed, permeate and retentate was separately obtained. The lowest and the highest rejection were found in carbaryl(54.8%) and methoxychlor(99.2%), respectively, and the removals were always shown higher than rejections. This may be caused by some reasons such as the solute adsorption on the membrane, the variation of feed concentration. Although molecular weight, molecular width regarded as solute characteristics and log P(n-octanol/water partition coefficient) as hydrophobicity could be applied to explain the rejection property, these factors should be considered together for better analysis. According to the higher relationship between log B(solute permeability) and molecular weight, it was revealed that the solute separation with this membrane was influenced more by molecular weight.

지표수에서 GC-MS에 의한 극미량 페놀류, 다환방향족탄화수소류와 농약류의 동시 분석법 (Simultaneous determination of ultra-trace phenols, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and pesticides in surface water by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry)

  • 지표수 중에 GC-MS에 의한 페놀, 다환방향족탄화수소 및 농약류를 포함한 17 개 유해화합물을 동시에 분석하는 방법을 개발하였다. 1.0 L의 물 시료를 분액깔대기 안에 넣고 NaCl로 포화시킨 다음 40mL methylene chloride로 추출하였다. 이 방법은 1.0-10 ng/L 범위의 정량한계를 보였고 22% 이내의 정밀도를 보였다. 확립한 방법을 사용하여 35 지역의 금강 물 70 개 시료를 분석한 결과 유해화합물이 1.1-26,604 ng/L의 농도범위로 검출되었으며 측정값은 외국에서 확립한 준거치를 초과하는 값은 없었다. 이 측정방법은 지표수에서 유해화합물에 대한 국가모니터링사업에 사용할 때 효율적인 것으로 판단된다.

광양만 저질에서의 미량오염물질 분포특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Distribution Property of Micropollutants in Gwang-Yang Bay Sediment)

  • This study investigated the distributive property of micropollutants in sediment around Gwang-yang bay using simultaneous analytical method of 310 chemicals. In the results, the major micropollutants detected were CH type chemicals such as aliphatic, polycyclic compounds, benzenes, and CHN(O) type chemicals aromatic amines, and pesticides. Insecticides of pesticide type were frequently detected at all sampling site. The total concentration of micropollutants were higher in summer than in winter and measured within the range of $ND{\sim}36.50{\mu}g/L$. Also, because of effect of seomjin river, GY6 of all sampling site detected by the highest concentration, GY10 and 11 located in Gwang-yang outside bay were not detected the micropollutants. From the result of this study, we should estimated that the industrial complex located in Gwang-yang inside bay and an inflow of fresh water through the Seomjin river are major pollution sources of Gwang-yang bay.

서남해 연안해역의 유기오염물질 분포특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Distribution Property of Organic Pollutants in Southwest Coastal Waters)

  • In this study, we try to determine the distributive property in southwest coastal waters, such as K wang-yang bay, Ka-mak bay, Yeo-ja bay, Wan-do, Hea-nam, Young-gwang, and Mok-po, using simultaneous analytical method of 310 chemicals. The results were detected tens of the organic pollutants in sampling sites, and the major chemicals detected were CH type chemicals such as aliphatic, polycyclic compounds and were CHN(O) type chemicals such as aromatic amines, nitro compounds, In particular, pesticides were mainly detected in summer, phenols and phthalate esters were not seasonal effect. Also, a number of aromatic chemicals were detected in Kwang-yang bay, From the results of this study, we confirmed that it is mainly contaminated in summer and the pesticide chemicals are the major pollutants in southwest coastal waters.

  • Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common, childhood-onset, neuropsychiatric disorder with an estimated prevalence of 2-7.6% in Korean children. Although the etiology of ADHD is not well understood, evidence from genetic factor and environmental factor studies suggests that ADHD results from a gene environmental interaction. In the current study, we reviewed the evidence for and clinical implications of the hypothetical roles of organophosphate pesticides, organochlorine pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls, phthalate, bisphenol, polyfluoroalkyl chemicals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, mercury, lead, arsenic, cadmium, manganese, tobacco, alcohol as harmful risk factors in the development of ADHD.

남해 연안 해역에 있어서 미량유기오염물질의 정량적 평가 (Quantitative Assessment of Micropollutants in the Southern Coastal Waters of Korea)

  • 본 연구는 310종 다성분 동시분석 법을 활용하여 남해 연안 해역 중 광양만, 여자만, 가막만에서의 미량유기오염물질에 의한 오염특성을 규명하고자 하였다. 채수지점에서 검출된 주요 미량유기오염물질은 aliphatic, polycyclic compounds 와 같은 CH기의 화학물질과 aromatic ammines, nitro compounds와 같은 CHN(O)기의 화학적 구조를 갖는 물질이었다. 미량유기오염물질의 농도는 겨울철보다는 여름철에 높게 나타났으나 검출된 물질 종수와 계절적 상관성은 뚜렷하게 나타나지 않았다. 남해 연안 해역에서 검출된 농약의 총량은 $ND{\sim}9.11$ 이었으며 광양만과 가막만에서 살충제와 제초제의 검출이 집중적으로 관찰되었다. 또한 남해 연안 해역에서 환경호르몬성 물질은 총 6종이 검출되었다. 이러한 결과로부터 남해연안해역의 주요오염인자는 살충제와 제초제, 그리고 수종의 환경호르몬성 물질로 판단된다.

2001년 11월 오염시기와 2002년 봄 황사시기 제주도 고산에서의 잔류성 유기오염물질 농도 변화 (Concentration Variations of Persistent Organic Pollutants in Gosan, Jeju during the Polluted Period in November 2001 and the Yellow Sand Period in Spring 2002)

  • Atmospheric concentrations of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) were measured at Gosan, Jeju in November 2001 and spring 2002, each time for two weeks. Primary target pollutants were organochlorine pesticides, coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (co- PCBs), and dioxin/furans listed in the Stockholm Convention adopted in May 2001. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were also measured in order to understand the overall characteristics of the POPs distribution as well as PM$_{2.5}$, a potent carrier of POPs. In the latter part of the measurement period of November 2001, almost every pollutant of combustion origin including dioxin/furans went high probably due to influence of emissions in the nearby area. The characteristics of atmospheric environment at Gosan in this period were rather close to urban areas far from those of a background area. A severe dust storm swept for three days at the end of the measurement period of spring 2002. However, changes in pollutant concentrations were relatively small except PM$_{10}$. Nevertheless, increases in particulate PAHs and OCDD (octachlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins), mostly present in fine particles, were observed. Trends in organochlorine pesticide variations were mixed although possible volatilization of DDT residues from soil was inferred from the measurements of spring 2002.2.2.

전남지역 하${\cdot}$폐수처리장 방류수중의 유기오염물질 분포특성과 그들의 독성 평가

  • 생활하수처리장과 농공단지폐수처리장 방류수의 화학분석과 in vitro bio-assay를 통한 세포독성의 결과를 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 다성분 동시분석법을 통해 다양한 성상을 가진 9곳의 방류수에서는 phenol, aliphatic compounds, polycyclic compounds, phthalate, pesticides, aromatic amines, benzens, nitro compounds이 주오염물질로 검출이 되었다. 2) 세포독성을 나타내는 TU값이 생활하수에서는 화학분석에 결과 다종고농도의 유기오염물질이 검출된 A지점과 농공폐수의 F지점에서 높게 나타났다. 즉, 화학분석결과와 in vitro bio-assay에 의한 상관관계를 유추해 볼 수 있다. 3) S9 mixture에 따른 대사활성으로 난분해성, 소수성 유기오염물질에 대한 세포독성에 악영향을 미침을 알 수 있다.

곰팡이를 이용한 염료의 탈색 및 생분해 (Biodecolorization and Biodegradation of Dye by Fungi: A Review)

  • In recent years, there has been an intensive research on the application of degradative activities of fungi for treatment of various non-degradable materials such as petroleum hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, dyes and so on. Chief of all, the fungal treatment technology is received the spotlight as one of the most promising alternatives to replace present methods for the treatment of dye wastewater. The present paper reviews the recent trend in research on the decolorization and biodegradation of dyes by various fungi, and improvements in bioreactors and bioprocesses involved the fungal treatment of dye wastewater. It also discusses alternatives and perspectives for the innovation of mycoremediation to treat dye wastewaters.
