Since the introduction of a new field of skin care to Korean market which was developed in 1980, a variety of skin care therapies have appeared in mid-1990s. Therefore, in particular, it is considered that aroma therapy is one of the most preferred methods for skin care. Therefore, previous studies focused just on clinical effects of aromatherapy while this study focuses on aestheticians by identifying whether performance of aromatherapy, and their contribution to income will influence on satisfaction in aestheticians and customers' intention to reuse aromatherapy service for positive demonstration. The results of the study are presented as follows: First, it is demonstrated that side-effect of aromatherapy, contribution to income, and customer satisfaction have significant effect on professional aestheticians. In particular, in respect to the aestheticians, this study obtains the results rather different from the estimation that customers are satisfied with the professional service though they have side-effect. Second, as the satisfaction in professional aestheticians after skin care service is a significant factor that influences on intention to reuse it, this study concludes that re-management on behaviors is required according to the degrees of satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical application of relaxation training and oriental medical treatment to the SimDamHeoGup(心膽虛怯) type of ChilJungGuQiJung(七情九氣證) patient. In this case, a male patient, 31 years old, who lost his job two months ago, complained of the tension of body and anxiety. We treated the patient with relaxation training and oriental medical treatment such as herbal medicine, acupuncture treatment and aroma therapy. And we diagnosed his state SimDamHeoGup(心膽虛怯) type of ChilJungGuQiJung(七情九氣證), so we prescribed HaChuBoSimTang(夏朮補心場) for patient. In result, the patient’s tension of body and anxiety was improved, so he could recover his confidence slowly. Conclusionally, relaxation training and oriental medical treatment could be effective method to treat the patient of adjustment disorder with the tension of body and anxiety.

The treatment of Patients with bacteraemia and septicemia requires accurate and rapid identification of the pathogen so that the physician can be guided regarding the selection of the proper antimicrobial therapy. The usual procedure is to withdraw an aliquot of the positive blood culture sample for gram staining and subculturing on the media for the growth and subsequent identification, and susceptibility determinations. It was noticed that during the process some microbiologists would sniff the effluent gases that are products of metabolism and in some cases guess the identity of the bacterium. That Prompted us to engage in systematic investigation of two gram positive and two gram negative bacteria using an electronic nose that had been proven successful in distinguishing the aroma of coffee beans from different sources. The investigation was successful in illustrating the efficacy of such a device in this clinical setting to distinguish Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis. A representative set of patterns obtained with this apparatus is displayed as well. A representative set of patterns obtained with this apparatus is displayed as well. No effort was made to determine an optimal set of sensors for some specific set of bacterial metabolism gaseous products.

Bibliotherapy is the field of clinical counceling to treat the emotional, psychiatric and social maladjustment. Neurofeedback is a means by which participants can team voluntary control of the EEG and has been applied to a range of clinical conditions such as epilepsy, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depressive disorder. 'Ul-zeong' comes from obstruction of qi by stress. The mind affect the body. The patient has depressed mood, irritable sign, chest discomfort, flank pain, angry state and some strange feeling on the throat. In this case, a female patient, 30 years old, who complained of amnesia, deficiency of the power of the attention and concentration depersonalization, depressed mood, insomnia ect. We treated the patient with bibliotherapy, neurofeedback and oriental medical treatment such as heral medicine, acupuncture treatment and aroma therapy. In result, the symptoms which she complained were improved.

Introduction : Atopic dermatitis is very epidermic disease in these days. Atopic dermatitis is difficult for patient to be treated because there is no specific treatment. The oriental method of atopic dermatitis is varied as patient situation and doctor's view point. The Treatise on Febrile Diseases(傷寒論) may be a hint for atopy disease. Object: Although we use various method such as acupucture, aroma therapy, a medicine for external use, we use the two decoctions in the Treatise on Febrile Diseases according to differentiation of syndromes and abdominal diagnosis. Result : After inpatient treatment in 21 days, the itching, redness, exudation, crust, lichen get better and insomnia and constipation was removed quickly. The SCORAD index is decreased from 84.2 to 25.9. Conclusion : These decoction can treat the atopic dermatitis although there is no symptom in atopy because we cure the all situation of the patient. We can cure the atopic dermatitis not only by routine remedy for various symptoms but also by diagnosis and treatment based on overall analysis of symptoms and signs.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of oriental medical treatment on a sinusitis patient Methods : We treated a 56-years old man patient with sinusitis. His symptoms are Ozena, Postnasal drip, Cough, sputum, nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea and Headache. The patient was treated with herb-med(Kami-Hyunggyeyungyotang,加味荊芥連翹湯), acupuncture, aroma oil therapy. During about a month, the patient was treated only with oriental medical treatment and without any of western medicine including antibiotics. We confirmed the progress of treatment with subjective symptoms, physical examination and radiographic inspection(PNS image). Results & Conclusions : After one month, Combined application of the oriental treatment including Kami-Hyunggyeyungyotang showed remarkable effects on subjective symptoms, physical examination and radiographic inspection(PNS image). This study show that Kami-Hyunggyeyungyotang effects on sinusitis.

Background and Objectives: Aroma therapy using Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil for curing allergic rhinitis is an inhalation treatment which has been applied as an aid to oriental clinics which use a fundamental treatment such as acupuncture and herbs. There have been no studies so far performed on the effect of this oils' use, only . We aimed to find out the therapeutic effect of its exclusive use only on an Animal Model with Allergic Rhinitis. Materials and Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats were induced the allergic rhinitis by ovalbumin solution. And then, rats in the treated group were treated by diffusing Eucalyptus essential oil in a flask for 7 days. Compared with the treated group, rats in the control group were treated by diffusing normal saline in a flask for 7 days. We observed changes in glandular cells and mast cells in nasal mucosa and submucosa; also changes in the number of eosinophils and neutrophils in blood and the succus of rhinenchysis. Results: The number of neutrophils in the succus of rhinenchysis was significantly decreased in treated group compared with control group(p<0.05). The number of neutrophils in blood and mast cells in nasal mucosa were decreased in the treated group but, these were not significant statistically(p>0.05). Histologic changes showed edema; congestion and expansion of grandular cells in nasal submucosa and hypertrophy of epithelium in nasal mucosa were decreased in treated group compared with control group. Conclusions: The results may suggest that the inhalation treatment using Eucalyptus essential oil decreases the inflammatory response on an Animal Model with Allergic Rhinitis.

Insomnia is one of the most common clinical symptom those almost patients with neuropsychiatric disorder complain. and the most common cause of insomnia in neuropsychiatric disorder is the major depressive disorder. We experienced a 59 year-old male who complained of recurrent insomnia in spite of taking medicines(nervines, antidepressants, etc,) during 30 years. We had given herbal medicine, acupuncture treatment and aroma therapy with continuing medications. The patient had several sypmtoms as anxiety, agitation, feeling thirsty, chronic constipation, and etc. beside the insomnia. After the patient took the herbal medicine, especially Sam-Hwang-Sa-Sim-Tang, he could have a sound sleep and be relaxed. In this case, we concluded that oriental medical treatment can be an effective remedy of chronic insomnia that responds to neuropsychiatric medications incompletely and Sam-Hwang-Sa-Sim-Tang is effective to a kind of insomnia with agitation, anxiety, thirsty, constipation, and etc.

This study was carried out to find the effects of aromatherapy using natural fragrance on reducing stress and improving job satisfaction of transportation workers in the taxi industry. A total of 120 workers were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the inhalation of the fragrance and tested for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, the difference of emotional change, stress analysis, and evaluation of job satisfaction according to aromatherapy were compared between the two groups. The result showed that the experimental group had a higher interest in scent products than the control group and that they wanted to encounter a lot of real scents, indicating that aromatherapy caused positive interest in general scent likability. In addition, the experimental group said that the inhalation of fragrance would refresh the feeling of the passengers in the vehicle and smoothly communicate with the passengers. Especially, it showed a significant difference between the two groups in terms of tension relief, pleasure and good mood by inhalation of fragrance, indicating the positive effect on job satisfaction.

Objectives : This study is to report effectiveness of Korean medicine monotherapy on an acute urticaria patient. Methods : A 26-year-old female acute urticaria patient visited Dong-Eui university Korean medical hospital at November 10th, 2020. The patient received Korean monotherapy including herbal medicine and aroma cream. The treatment continued for about 1 month until December 4th, 2020. Urticaria activity score(UAS), visual analogue scale(VAS), photographs were used to assess the symptoms. Results : After 20 days of medication, the symptoms were disappeared. UAS score was dropped 6 to 0 and VAS score dropped 9 to 0. About two years later, there was no recurrence. Conclusions : These results suggests that acute urticaria which accompanied by a moderate degree of pruritus can be sufficiently managed by Korean medicine therapy.
