  • In this paper, we propose a copyright protection scheme for real-time streaming of HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) based realistic content. Previous research uses encryption and modular operation for copyright pre-protection and copyright post-protection, which causes delays in ultra high resolution video. The proposed scheme maximizes parallelism by using thread pool based DRM(Digital Rights Management) packaging with only HEVC's CABAC(Context Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding) codec and GPU based high-speed bit operation(XOR), thus enabling real-time copyright protection. As a result of comparing this scheme with previous research at three resolutions, PSNR showed an average of 8 times higher performance, and the process speed showed an average of 18 times difference. In addition, as a result of comparing the robustness of the forensic mark, the filter and noise attack, which showed the largest and smallest difference, with a 27-fold difference in recompression attacks, showed an 8-fold difference.

  • With the implementation of the fox restoration project, the number of foxes released into nature are increasing; therefore, in the future, foxes will be dispersed to other areas and will appear in human habitats. In this study, the habitat suitability index (HSI) of foxes was developed to predict and prepare for the effects. After extracting major environmental variables through literature research and GIS analysis, 5 suitability indices (SIs) were constructed. The forest physiognomy, slope, aspect, distance from water source, and distance from road are the main variables, and the arithmetic average value by giving twice the weight to the forest physiognomy is the HSI result. As a result of comparing with the data from the Natural Environment Survey, it is found that the fox coordinates have an average HSI value of 0.64, and the probability of appearance is high when it is 0.53 or higher. Using the results of this study, it is expected to be able to predict the distribution of foxes in advance, to use them as basic data for future restoration plans, or to identify the distribution of the species and the reduction plan in future environmental impact assessments.

  • This study suggests the results of temporal and spatial variations for rainfall data in the Korean Peninsula. We got the index of the rainfall amount, frequency and extreme indices from 65 weather stations. The results could be easily understood by drawing the graph, and the Mann-Kendall trend analysis was also used to determine the tendency (up & downward/no trend) of rainfall and temperature where the trend could not be clear. Moreover, by using the FARD, frequency probability rainfalls could be calculated for 100 and 200 years and then compared each other value through the moment method, maximum likelihood method and probability weighted moments. The Average Rainfall Index (ARI) which is meant comprehensive rainfalls risk for the flood could be obtained from calculating an arithmetic mean of the RI for Amount (RIA), RI for Extreme (RIE), and RI for Frequency (RIF) and as well as the characteristics of rainfalls have been mainly classified into Amount, Extremes, and Frequency. As a result, these each Average Rainfall Indices could be increased respectively into 22.3%, 26.2%, and 5.1% for a recent decade. Since this study showed the recent climate change trend in detail, it will be useful data for the research of climate change adaptation.

  • In this study, random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) analyses were used for evaluation of genetic diversity of 61 kiwifruit (Actinidia spp.) germplasms including domestic and overseas collection cultivars. Forty RAPD primers were detected in a total of 230 polymorphic bands with an average of 5.75. Thirty-two SRAP primer combinations were detected in a total of 204 polymorphic bands with an average 6.38. By unweighted pair-group method arithmetic average cluster analysis using 434 polymorphic bands, kiwifruit germplasms were classified in three groups with similarity value of 0.680. Cluster I consisted of 46 kiwifruit germplasms belonging to A. deliciosa, A. chinensis, A. deliciosa ${\times}$ A. arguta, A. chinensis ${\times}$ A. arguta, and A. chinensis ${\times}$ A. deliciosa. Cluster II consisted of seven germplasms belonging to A. arguta and 'Skinny Green', a cultivar derived from a cross between A. arguta and A. deliciosa. Cluster III consisted of seven germplasms belonging to A. rufa, A. hemsleyana, A. macrosperma, A. polygama, and A. eriantha. Genetic similarity values among tested kiwifruit germplasms ranged from 0.479-0.991, and average similarity value was 0.717. Similarity value was highest (0.991) between NHK0038 (A. deliciosa) and NHK0040 (A. deliciosa), and lowest (0.479) between 'Hayward' (A. deliciosa) and K5-1-22 (A. arguta).

  • This study was conducted to investigate the genetic diversity and to develop a technique for cultivar identification using SSR markers in grapevine. Thirty Korean bred and introduced grapevine cultivars were evaluated by 28 SSR markers. A total of 143 alleles were produced ranging from 2 to 8 alleles with an average of 5.1 alleles per locus. Polymorphic information contents (PIC) were ranged from 0.666 (VVIp02) to 0.975 (VVIn33 and VVIn62) with an average of 0.882. UPGMA (unweighted pair-group method arithmetic average) clustering analysis based on genetic distances using 143 alleles classified 30 grapevine cultivars into 7 clusters by similarity index of 0.685. Similarity values among the tested grapevine cultivars ranged from 0.575 to 1.00, and the average similarity value was 0.661. The similarity index was the highest (1.00) between 'Jinok' and 'Campbell Early', and the lowest (0.575) between 'Alden' and 'Narsha'. The genetic relationships among the 30 studied grapevine cultivars were basically consistent with the known pedigree. The three SSR markers sets (VVIn61, VVIt60, and VVIu20) selected from 28 primers were differentiated all grapevine cultivars except for 'Jinok' and 'Campbell Early'. Five cultivars ('Narsha, 'Alden', 'Dutchess', 'Pione', and 'Muscat Hamburg') were identified by VVIn61 at the first step. Then 21 cultivars including 'Hongsodam' by VVIt60 at the second step and 2 cultivars ('Heukbosuck' and 'Suok') by VVIu20 at the third step were identified. These markers could be used as a reliable tool for the identification of Korean grapevine cultivars.

  • To improved the multi-resolution fast hierarchical motion estimation by using de-interlacing algorithm that is effective in term of both performance and VLSI implementation, is proposed so as to cover large search area field-based as well as frame based image processing in SoC design. In this paper, we have simulated a various picture mode M=2 or M=3. As a results, the proposed algorithm achieved the motion estimation performance PSNR compare with the full search block matching algorithm, the average performance degradation reached to -0.7dB, which did not affect on the subjective quality of reconstructed images at all. And acquiring the more desirable to adopt design SoC for the fast hierarchical motion estimation, we exploit foreground and background search algorithm (FBSA) base on the dual arithmetic processor element(DAPE). It is possible to estimate the large search area motion displacement using a half of number PE in general operation methods. And the proposed architecture of MHME improve the VLSI design hardware through the proposed FBSA structure with DAPE to remove the local memory. The proposed FBSA which use bit array processing in search area can improve structure as like multiple processor array unit(MPAU).

  • This is a study of match-making systems that considers the mutual satisfaction of matching partners. Recently, recommendation systems have been applied to people recommendation, such as recommending new friends, employees, or dating partners. One of the prominent domain areas is match-making systems that recommend suitable dating partners to customers. A match-making system, however, is different from a product recommender system. First, a match-making system needs to satisfy the recommended partners as well as the customer, whereas a product recommender system only needs to satisfy the customer. Second, match-making systems need to include as many participants in a matching pool as possible for their recommendation results, even with unpopular customers. In other words, recommendations should not be focused only on a limited number of popular people; unpopular people should also be listed on someone else's matching results. In product recommender systems, it is acceptable to recommend the same popular items to many customers, since these items can easily be additionally supplied. However, in match-making systems, there are only a few popular people, and they may become overburdened with too many recommendations. Also, a successful match could cause a customer to drop out of the matching pool. Thus, match-making systems should provide recommendation services equally to all customers without favoring popular customers. The suggested match-making system, called Mutually Beneficial Matching (MBM), considers the reciprocal satisfaction of both the customer and the matched partner and also considers the number of customers who are excluded in the matching. A brief outline of the MBM method is as follows: First, it collects a customer's profile information, his/her preferable dating partner's profile information and the weights that he/she considers important when selecting dating partners. Then, it calculates the preference score of a customer to certain potential dating partners on the basis of the difference between them. The preference score of a certain partner to a customer is also calculated in this way. After that, the mutual preference score is produced by the two preference values calculated in the previous step using the proposed formula in this study. The proposed formula reflects the symmetry of preferences as well as their quantities. Finally, the MBM method recommends the top N partners having high mutual preference scores to a customer. The prototype of the suggested MBM system is implemented by JAVA and applied to an artificial dataset that is based on real survey results from major match-making companies in Korea. The results of the MBM method are compared with those of the other two conventional methods: Preference-Based Matching (PBM), which only considers a customer's preferences, and Arithmetic Mean-Based Matching (AMM), which considers the preferences of both the customer and the partner (although it does not reflect their symmetry in the matching results). We perform the comparisons in terms of criteria such as average preference of the matching partners, average symmetry, and the number of people who are excluded from the matching results by changing the number of recommendations to 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25. The results show that in many cases, the suggested MBM method produces average preferences and symmetries that are significantly higher than those of the PBM and AMM methods. Moreover, in every case, MBM produces a smaller pool of excluded people than those of the PBM method.

  • To analyze the genetic relationships among 23 accessions of Asparagus cochinensis $L_{OUR}$, random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD) analysis was performed using artificially synthesized 10 primers. The range of polymorphism was $42.9{\sim}91.7%$ with an average of 72.9% in 85 randomly and specifically amplified DNA fragments. On the. basis of similarity coefficient analysis by unweighed pairgroup method, arithmetic average method(UPGMA), 23 accessions of Asparagus cochinensis $L_{OUR}$ could be classified into 6 groups at the similarity coefficient value of 0.82. Group I contained 5 accessions, Group II contained 6 accessions, Group III contained 6 accessions, GroupIV contained 2 accessions, Group V contained 2 accessions and Group VI contained 2 accessions. The range of total genetic similarity coefficient value of 23 accessions of Asparagus cochinchinensis $L_{OUR}$ was $0.47{\sim}0.92$ and average value was 0.76. To obtain more exact data from PCR, we also tried to develope enhanced RAPD techniques using Bovine Lacto Transfer Technique Optimizer(BLOTTO). In RAPD analysis of Asparagus cochinensis $L_{OUR}$, we could obtain better RAPD results by adding BLOTTO at a final concentration of 1%.

  • This paper proposes an efficient approach for hardware implementation of moving object detection (MOD) processor using effective Gaussian mixture learning (EGML)-based background subtraction method. Arithmetic units used in background generation were implemented using LUT-based approximation to reduce hardware complexity. Hardware resources used for both background subtraction and Gaussian probability density calculation were shared. The MOD processor was verified by FPGA-in-the-loop simulation using MATLAB/Simulink. The MOD performance was evaluated by using six types of video defined in IEEE CDW-2014 dataset, which resulted the average of recall value of 0.7700, the average of precision value of 0.7170, and the average of F-measure value of 0.7293. The MOD processor was implemented with 882 slices and block RAM of $146{\times}36kbits$ on Virtex5 FPGA, resulting in 60% hardware reduction compared to conventional design based on EGML. It was estimated that the MOD processor could operate with 75 MHz clock, resulting in real-time processing of $800{\times}600$ video with a frame rate of 39 fps.

  • The purpose of this study is to make "The Rainfall Frequency Atlas in Korea" by the analytical method with new hydrological concepts. In this study, all of the rainfall datas in Korea was used for surveying of the basic data, and so we can get 103 sites for annual rainfall data and 100 sites for the max. in a day that are suitable to the purpose of the study. The above data groups are possible to estimate the normal standard period by the moving average method with $\pm$5% of significance level of variance ratio between the max. and min. moving average and arithmetic mean, but it may be impossible to study until 1990's for the short duration under 18-hr because the sites, having the short duration data, are only 12. The results of this study are as follows; 1. The normal standard period estimated by the moving average method is 20 year with $\pm$5% of significance level of variance ratio, and 30 year with$\pm$2-3%. 2. For the annual and max. rainfall in a day, it is possible to make the rainfall frequency atlas with 30normal standard period, but it may be impossible until 1990's for short duration. 3. "Y-k method" developed by writer is best suitable in the rainfal frequency analysis in Korea because of its convenience and reduction in the amount of calculation compared with other methods. 4. To improve the utilization of the rainfall frequency atlas, the larger-sized and the more detailed iso-precipitation atlas must be drawn.atlas must be drawn.
