Lastly, the facility centrality index of each village is estimated for assessing the relations of educational accessibility. The main results of this study are as follows; (1) The accessibility of most villages in Pyeongchang-gun is vulnerable that 81.10% for elementary school, 73.17% for middle school, and 82.32% for high school, respectively; (2) The average commuting distance per student considering estimated number of students for each educational facilities indicated 2.75km for elementary school, 4.37km for middle school, and 5.79km for high school; (3) the facility centrality index is highly correlated to educational facilities but not to village population.
While the life in the fishing villages in old days was characterized by accepting the sea as destiny by birth, it became an industrial one nowadays with industry - scale fisheries as the mainstream. It is expected, however, that nature - friendly life will be prevailing in the fishing villages in the future In these days, the status of fishing village is on a very terrible situation due to the decrease in population, low income, environment destruction, and so on. However, the fishing village should be revitalized because of its public benefits at least. Recently, a kind of affirmative appearance in fishing village is that people who are willing to visit fishing village are increasing. The fishermen are supposed to use this opportunity for its economic and social interests. This paper suggests a kind of way, enjoyable fishery after catching and farming fishery, to use it. Enjoyable fishery consists of watching (learning by observation) fishery and doing (experience) fishery. The example of watching fishery is inspecting the fixed net fishery, doing fishery is experience of small dragnet fishery. The activation devices of the enjoyable fishery are suggested as follows; 1) fixing the identification of regional tourism 2) the development of regional enjoyable 3) opening of one day's fisherman school. 4) networking with fishing village amenity improvement 5) driving sisterhood system with urban area.
The need for recreation and green-tourism seems to be enhanced greatly according to increasing income and leisure. The rural area and village should be developed and improved with a new direction as basic areas for the green-tourism. This study developed a new methodology to be able to find suitable areas for recreation and green-tourism using GIS and RS. The eight criteria for suitability evaluation of recreation area extracted by GIS and RS techniques from computerized map layers and satellite images have their weighting values, which are quantified by AHP method. The new finding methodology was applied to a study area, the Ansung city in Kyunggi province. The results showed that the suitable area with high score for the recreation and green-tourism were analyzed spatially near by ancient culture and water resources. The new findings enable decision makers to analyze spatially the suitability area of the recreation area and village improvement for the green-tourism.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the global economy has stagnated and our daily lives have changed. The rural economy is also experiencing damage, such as an average of 65% or more decrease in the number of visitors to rural experience resort villages due to the spread of COVID-19. In order to minimize the damage arising from the prolonged coronavirus, a hospitality system in response to changes in rural tourism behavior and consumer demand is needed to revitalize rural areas and maintain continuous economic independence. Therefore, this study attempted to find ways to utilize landscape resources such as education, culture, history, and ecology in order to complement the existing experience programs in connection with local resources and local environment. Wibong Village, which is the subject of the study, attempted to revitalize the village using the resources through the "Creative village creation" project in 2015. Due to poor management of historical resources, difficulty in operating experience programs, and response to changes in the natural environment, the rate of implementation of the project plan was very low. Currently, the demand for experience is also decreasing due to the COVID-19 effect, so it was judged that it was necessary to develop an experience village program suitable for the needs of experienced visitors by discovering additional local resources for the continuous operation of the experience village. In order to solve the problem of the use of landscape resources and the spatial composition of the study site, additional investigations of local resources were made, and an experience program course that could be operated by theme was proposed by configuring a space suitable for the use of landscape resources. By dividing the additionally investigated landscape resources into history, ecology, and region, an experiential course was created to separate the traffic lines, and the space composition for large-scale experienced visitors that had been previously operated was constructed in a form suitable for the post-corona era. In addition, at least two experiential tour courses that can be operated by period were proposed to maintain economic effects. Starting with this study, if further research on the creation and spatial composition of a rural experience village centered on the connection with the region, it will be used as research results that can be referenced in projects such as village creation, rural space planning, and living area analysis. It is expected that it will be able to effectively cope with the construction of a rural area suitable for the post-corona era, where demand is expected to increase in the future.
The sacrificial foods using at 88 villages in Andong area where the village sacrificial rituals are performed, were investigated in 1994. The finding are as follows; 1. Since the village sacrificial rituals keep ancientry, white Baeksulki without any ingredients is used as Ddock (a steamed rice cake) in 74 villages, and in 5 villages the Baeksulki was served just in Siru (a tool used to prepare Ddock). The type of meat serving in rituals has been changing from large animal to small animal and the type of light from bowl-light to candle. 2. Tang (a stew) was served in 21 villages, and in 18 villages even Gook (a soup) was not used. The numbers of village which do not use cooked rice and Ddock are 14, respectively. 4. Fruits are essential in rituals foods. In 63 villages, 3 kinds of fruits are served and this is contrasted with even number of fruits in Bul-Chun-Wi Rituals. 5. In 25 villages, fish and meat are not served. As meat, chicken in 19 village are served. Meat Sikhae (a fermented rice beverage) prepared with meats or fish are served in 5 villages. Slice of dried meat is served in 73 villages commonly. 6. In gender of god for village shrine, woman in 43 villages, couple in 17 villages, man in 9 villages, mountain god in 2 villages, villages tree, etc were enshrined. In 52 villages liquor is served in rituals (liquor is used in 58 villages including serving god), in 28 villages sweet liquor (Gamju) is served for god (sweet liquor is used in 46 villages), and liquor, water, or sweet liquor is just displayed on table but not served in 8 villages. Incensing is found to be not common in village ritual, only in two villages it is performed. The most appropriate rituals food is thought to be pig for mountain god. Home dishes can not be used in village ritual and spoon is not used and chopstick is prepared from wild plant. Meat and fish are used in the raw.

The fengshui discourse of Sajok village in the late Joseon dynasty obtained currency as the prosperity of settlement place and public figures, was used for ideology ruling the rural community and society. The ways of the fengshui for ruling clan community were that having authority by means of symbolizing settlement location and siting main clan's symbol architectures, controlling the village community by the agreement keeping the fengshui's supplements, occupying the clan's ownership by expanding clan's tomb area.
Village community centers are public locations where residential members of communities gather for various group meetings, social support, public information and recreational activities. Since the residents voluntarily operate the facilities, a convenient access to the center is a very important criterion for choosing where such facilities should be distributed throughout the districts. In particular, it is highly desirable to locate them within walking-distances from the residential populations. In this work, we have evaluated the accessibility to the community centers in several rural areas based on the surveys that were collected from year 2005 to 2012. We used the collected rural amenity resource distributions of the area for the evaluating the accessibilities to village center. More specifically, we considered some factors such as residential district and fraction of elderly population in the vicinity.
