Tooth Modification for Spur Gear for Articulated Hauler's Final Drive (트럭 최종감속기 평기어의 치형최적화에 관한 연구)

  • Construction equipment is heavily loaded during normal operation. In recent years, there is a trend that lower gear noise levels are demanded for drivers to avoid annoyance and fatigue during operation. For articulated hauler's final drive, meshing transmission error(T.E.) is the excitation that leads the tonal noise known as gear whine, and radiated gear whine is also the dominant source of noise in the whole gearbox. This paper presents a method for the analysis of the tooth profile modification, and the prediction of transmission error under the loaded torques for the spur gear pair of the articulated hauler's final drive. And the transmission error, transmission error harmonics and contact stress are also calculated and compared before and after tooth modification under one torque. The simulation result shows that the transmission error and contact stress under the loads can be minimized by the appropriate tooth profile modification.

  • Floor impact noises in apartment buildings have been investigated as they are most annoying in living environment. Several experiments were undertaken to compare perceived noisiness of floor impact noises generated by bang and tapping machine along with children's jumping and running. Results show that bang noise is more annoying than tapping noise and floor impact noise generated by children is less annoying than the noise generated by machine. The floor impact noise generated by children's jumping and running corresponds well with the bang-machine noise in terms of loudness, unbiased annoyance, ${\Phi}$$\_$0/ and IACC. The noise generated by children is somewhat different from machine noise; in spatial impression the real noise is similar to tapping-machine noise but is less annoying that the machine noises.

  • Residents in an area where both trains and cars pass through are exposed to not only road traffic noise but also railway noise. Nevertheless, the degree of annoyance the caused to the residents is being under evaluated as the noises have been evaluated separately. Therefore, this study aimed at evaluating the integrated noise of road traffic and railway, and proving the accuracy of the evaluation result.

Test of Fit for the Log-Normalness of the Post Dialling Delay

  • Delay has influenced customer satisfaction while using a telephone. It has been ranked second after transmission impairments in annoyance to customers. Therefore, it is important to analyze its behavior not only to increase the quality of service for the customers, but to provide its information to network planners and administrators and to designers of equipment and systems. In this paper, we consider a log-normal model as a candidate for describing the statistical behavior of the post dialling delay, i.e., the time to connect a call to the telephone network after dialling. Based on the real data, the log-normalness of the post dialling delays are convinced for the long distance calls, but not supported for the local calls. Uses of graphical plotting paper and statistical test of fit art discussed.

  • Recently, with the increasing of construction works, large construction equipment are used to reduce the term of work and labor cost in construction field. Therefore, construction equipment noise has caused much annoyance for a number of dweller in nearby construction field and it has become a very serious problem in our living environment. Neverthless, in our country, adequite guidelines for the construction equipment noise are very deficiency because of the lack of basic data and insufficient research works. From this point of view, this study attempts to survey the characteristics and prediction of piling noise in oil pressure method. On the basis of measurement value, we analysed about prediction possibility of piling noise in oil pressure method.

  • The subjective unwantedness felt from the noise sources in living and office environment has been evaluated by investgating the upper/lower limit of perceptual loudness of the noise. The limits were selected by the subject and the noise sources were analyzed to find out whether there is any correlation with Zwicker parpmeters and ACF fastors. It was found that the loudness of vacuum cleaner noise does not influence its perceived noiseness. Noises implicated in human such as floor walking noise and talking sound, are the most irritating noise in office environment.

  • Impact sounds, such as those created by footsteps, the dropping of an object or the moving of furniture, can be a source of great annoyance in residential buildings. The character and level of impact noise generated depends on the object striking the floor, on the basic structure of the floor, and on the floor covering. This study base on the evaluate of isolation performance of impact sound according to the impact noise reduction methods. Reduction methods consist of four ways. First way is increase thickness of bare floor and other ways are using the soft coverings on the floor and ceiling assembles. Last way is make floating floor with shock absorbing materials.

  • A series of preliminary experiments were carried out to quantify the annoyance are noisiness caused by floor impact noise. From the results of the experiments. the heavy impact source was found to be felt louder and noisier than the light impact source. Measurements of noise were also conducted by a diagnostic system based on the model(the model consists of the autocorrelators and the cross-correlation for signals arriving at two ear entrants) of the human auditory-brain system. Physical factors in the model were calculated by use of the ACF(autocorrelation function) and IACF(interaural cross correlation function) of binaural signals. From the ACF/IACF analysis, it was found that perceived loudness of floor impact noise could be represented by the factors of the ACF/IACF model.

  • Demands on a quiet environment is increasing because of noisiness and annoyance due to the extended use of noisy electronic device. Determination of sound power levels of noise sources using sound pressure in a reverberation room is usually a relevant method for devices with comparatively large volume or unevenly distributed source position. This study aims to observe the contents of ISO 3741 and analyze its changes in the revised standard ISO 3741-1999. And also aims to assess the revised ISO 1999 its effectiveness and limitations with an actual application to measure the sound power level of a refrigerator.
