Mathematics is the subject which is distinctive in logical hierarchy, so the dificiency of prior learning or lack of understanding can result in learning disabilities of follow-up study. To minimize the learning disabilities, we should percieve student's problems and correct them through "Error Analysis" so that they can make up meaningful learning. Especially, in the case of division, its meaning is various, and the interpretation of the quotient and the remainder is the difference according to the caculation results, so students are likely to make errors often. Therefore, in this study, I presented the measures of how to instruct them under the circumstances in which division is applied by analyzing examples of incorrect answers.

The purposes of this study are to analyze error that the students in science and engineering show in the process of thinking a extremum value. First, in view of examples of incorrect answers that appeared in a test by students in science and engineering, it has been found that the most frequent incorrect answers were due to a lack of understanding about necessary matters and concepts. In this regard, it is necessary to use various examples and pictures(graphs) to teach students in science and engineering. In addition, it has been found that it is more effective to use questions asking why it happens and why they think that way to help those having difficulties in understanding various concepts and principles.

In order to propose effective learning methods to teach basic mathematics course for students of business administration, we conducted the survey on recognition and attitude on mathematics subjects, and analyzed academic achievements of the business mathematics as a basic mathematics course in relation to the results of the survey. First, we investigated learning contents and problems difficult for students to understand in the course, and presented the instructional method and significance of them with examples. These learning contents and problems were collected from the students using the mathematics cafe. Furthermore, we analyzed types of the incorrect answers on the midterm and final examinations in the business mathematics. Although it is difficult to generalize the finding to all of the business administration students due to differences in academic level and educational environment, much work has been put in to present learning method of the business mathematics for students of business administration.
