Because most of feminist researches on the media have been primarily concerned with women's roles and representations in main scream mass media, women's media as alternative media remain remarkably understudied. Thus this study explores women's media in relation to women's movement during the period of US military Government in Korea. There were five women's newspapers which were means of women's movement in this period. However, failing to attract enough appropriate revenues and resort to fund-raising, women's newspapers could nor be published a long time. And women's newspapers as means of women's movement had the defects in women's representations because women's movement lacked a certain degree of autonomy from the male-dominated political activities. In other words, women's newspapers maintained women's participation in political areas, but on the other hand they emphasized the women's role as mother and housewife.

The rapid growths of economy and automobiles since the 1970's have caused serious traffic jams and environmental disruption in urban areas. To relieve these problems caused by urbanization, there should be considered alternative means of transportation modes. Many developed countries have accepted bicycles as a so called "Green Mode" for environmentally oriented strategies to increase the qualities of urban lives. Korea have also attempted various means to raise bicycle usages. In this research, significant factors affecting bicycle crashes at signalized intersections in urban areas were studied. The model results showed that Poisson regression is the best fit methodology for data modeling and revealed that traffic volume, a number of driveways, configuration of the ground, presence of bicycle path, school, and bus stop, residential area, size of intersection are significant factors affecting the bicycle crashes.

The purpose of this paper is to make a research on the administration and practical problems of the arbitral organization called "uth-North Commercial Arbitration Commission". The Arbitration Commission shall be set up under the South-North Agreements officially called "reement on Settlement Procedure of Commercial Dispute" and "reement on Organization and Administration of the South-North Arbitration Commission" between the South and the North of Korea. A variety means of dispute settlement including friendly consultations, conciliation and arbitration called Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) will be used frequently and institutionally to settle commercial disputes and conflicts arising from economic transactions between the South and the North of Korea. Under the circumstances, it is becoming a problem of vital importance how to operate the Arbitration Commission for the prompt and effective settlement of the South-North commercial disputes. First of all, the South and the North of Korea should recognize the availability of prompt and effective means of dispute resolution such as arbitration and conciliation to be made by the Arbitration Commission would promote the orderly growth and encouragement of th South-North trade and investment, for which the following measures should be taken as soon as possible : 1. Enactment of the South-North Arbitration Rules. 2. Designation of the arbitral institution by North-Korean side. In this connection, the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board(KCAB) was already designated officially as the arbitral organization of South Korean side as of April 17, 2007. 3. Arbitration shall be held in the place where the respondent has his domicile, in case that both parties fail to agree as to the place of arbitration. 4. Permission of a third country arbitration in case that both parties agree to do so. 5. To become a member country of international arbitration agreements including the New York Convention.

Recently, the application of personal proofing service based on social security number(SSN) replacement means for verifying identity in non-face-to-face transactions is increasing. In this paper, we propose a method of applying differentiated personal proofing service on whether identity verification is necessary in the online service provided by ISP and if it is appropriate to apply a certain level of assurance. By analyzing the requirements related to personal proofing required by current ISPs, we analyze the risks for each of the requirements and propose a method of applying differentiated personal proofing service according to the level of identity assurance guarantee to minimize the risks. In applying the proposed method to online service provision, it is possible to reduce user's unnecessary authentication cost by minimizing the application of personal proofing service based on alternative means, and to help protect user personal information by minimizing excessively collected personal information.

In contemporary advertising market, one of main trends is to speak surrealistic visual language which provides 'enjoyable spectacles'. Specially, in the beginning of 21st century, there discovered more and more exhibitions and discourses about surrealism reinterpreted from the viewpoint of postmodernism. Surrealism as a creative style of expression based upon free association, has been a great inspiration for fashion ads for commercial communication as well as fashion design since its origin. However, there has been ignored the idea of analyzing surrealistic image expressed in fashion ads in spite of their flood. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to grasp its cultural meaning through analyzing aesthetic characteristics of surrealistic image expressed in fashion ads. It will provide a better understanding of surrealistic image in fashion ads reflecting popular taste and preference directly as popular visual culture, focusing on post modern context. A case study of surrealistic fashion ads limits to TV or print commercials and digital ads as image ads stimulating visual expressions. The Results can be summarized as follows. Surrealism is an avant garde style which deconstructs the established meaning system as well as the existing formalistic order and then put them together in the frame of 'dream' and 'unconsciousness'. Defamiliarization questioning the whole edifice of representation can be adapted to. By means of paradox and metaphor, unfamiliar new visual world can be represented. The plastic characteristics of surrealistic image in fashion ads are founded as surrealistic styling of time and space, distortion of object by methods of automatism, depaysement, parody and trompe-l'oeil which bring about the deconstruction of gestalt. Aesthetic values of surrealistic fashion ads appear as dualistic representation, allegoric symbolism, fantastic romanticism. Ultimately they lead to marvelous. mysterious, humorous visual effects. Foster reinterpreted these effects of surrealism from Freud's 'Uncanny Concept'. 'Uncanny' means the phenomenon recurring to familiar being defamiliarized by repression. Surrealistic fashion ads strengthen this shocking effect more and more dramatically in company with our post modern needs for fantastic adventure and thrilling spectacle. It can be thought that surrealistic fashion ads reflects uncanny as an alternative which can relieve us of our stress and anxiety and which realize our potential desire in contemporary post industrial stage.

In this paper, we analyze the cycle property of the (n,k)-star graph that has an attention as an alternative interconnection network topology in recent years. Based on the graph-theoretic properties in (n,k)-star graphs, we show the pancyclic property of the graph and also present the corresponding algorithm. Based on the recursive structure of the graph, we present such top-down approach that the resulting cycle can be constructed by applying series of "dimension expansion" operations to a kind of cycles consisting of sub-graphs. This processing naturally leads to such property that the resulting cycles tend to be integrated compactly within some minimal subset of sub-graphs, and also means its applicability of another classes of the disjoint-style cycle problems. This result means not only the graph-theoretic contribution of analyzing the pancyclic property in the underlying graph model but also the parallel processing applications such a as message routing or resource allocation and scheduling in the multi-computer system with the corresponding interconnection network.

Recently, the weather has been influenced by the environmental pollution and the oil price has been risen because of the lack of resources. So, the weather and energy are influencing on not only enterprises or nations, but also individual daily life and economic activities very much. Because of these reasons, there are so many researches about management of solar radiation needed to develope solar energy as alternative energy. And many researchers are also interested in identifying the area according to changing characteristics of climate data. However, the researches have not developed how to apply the cluster analysis, retrieval and analytical results according to the characteristics of the area through data mining. In this paper, we design a data model of the data for storing and managing the climate data tested in twenty cities in the domestic area. And we provide the information according to the characteristics of the area after clustering the domestic climate data, using k-means clustering algorithm. And we suggest the way how to apply the department store and amusement park as an applied weather marketing. The proposed system is useful for constructing the database about the weather marketing and for providing the elements and analysis information.

The thesis is a study of the information model for the information collection and systematization in the way of product design. In the past, the design was made by the designers hands, worked with the material directly, but today's product design, the material diverted to information, can be considered as it is made essentially through information collection and systematization processing. If the product design is considered the information processing, usually it means a qualitative change of the product design information, not a quantitative change of the information theory. A focus of the study is to grope for a way of changing the subject to information, dealing with when the product design intends to purposes, not the material, When a way of the product design was discussed to solve the problems rationally, in the past, if it is considered as quantitative, qualitative and organic methods and modeling as their means based on the process model, [analysis-generalization-estimation], are formal ism, the way of product design as information is that the product direction as a substance should go through the design information processing, making an alternative plan with the information model cycling to natural order. Because success or failure of the product design in the future depends on information as material.

In this study, we propose an innovative lateral force distribution building system between tall buildings by utilizing the difference of moment of inertia, resulting the reduction of lateral displacement and the lateral forces in terms of an alternative for the dense human and increased cost of lands in highly integrated city area. A successive collapse prevention means by providing additional bearing plate between connections is proposed. In addition to that, a more economical vibration reduction is expected due to the suggested tuned mass damper on the surface of spacial structure. In the considered verification examples, reduced drifts at the top location of the building systems are validated against static wind pressure loads and static earthquake loads. The suggested hybrid building system will improve the safety and reliability of the new or existing building system in terms of more than 30% reduced drift and vibration through the development of convergence of tall buildings and spatial structures.

Biometric information does not need to be stored separately, and there is no risk of loss and no theft. For this reason, it has been attracting attention as an alternative authentication means for existing authentication means such as passwords and authorized certificates. However, there may be a privacy problem due to leakage of personal information stored in the server. To overcome these weaknesses, FIDO solved the problem of leakage of personal information on the server by using biometric information stored on the user device and authenticating. In this paper, we propose a multiple biometric authentication method that can be used in FIDO environment. In order to utilize multiple biometric information, fingerprints and EEG signals can be generated and used in FIDO system. The proposed method can solve the problem due to limitations of existing 2-factor authentication system by authentication using multiple biometric information.
