TV 건강프로그램의 '노화의 의료화' 의미화 방식: KBS <비타민>의 텍스트 분석을 중심으로 (A Study on the Signification of 'The Medicalization of Aging' in TV Health Programs: A Text Analysis of Focus on the 'Vitamin' in KBS)

  • 본 연구는 고령사회로 진입한 한국 사회에서 미디어가 어떻게 '잘 나이 들기(Aging Well)'에 대한 의미를 구성해내는지 고찰해보고자 하였다. 구체적으로 TV 건강프로그램이 어떠한 모습으로 노화를 그려내고 있으며, 노화 과정을 재현하는 방식의 사회문화적 의미는 무엇인가라는 질문에 답하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 KBS <비타민>에 대한 텍스트 분석을 진행한 결과, <비타민>은 정보의 오락화를 추구하는 과정에서 노화된 몸을 희화화시켜 조소의 대상으로 재현하고 있으며, 노화방지를 하지 못한 출연자가 실패자로 낙인찍히는 과정을 보여주어 노화에 대한 공포심을 강화하고 있다. 이 과정에서 노화된 몸을 수명이 다한 기계로 의미화 하고 측정 가능한 노화 지수를 만들어 그 기준에 미치지 못한 노년은 의료전문가와 의료 기술의 도움이 필요함을 강조한다. 과거에는 질병으로 간주되지 않았던 노화를 의료의 영역으로 끌어들여 치료의 대상으로 삼는 '노화의 의료화' 담론은 의료전문가의 통제권을 강조하고 사회문제를 개인화시키는 결과를 확산시키고 있다.

  • Estimation Problems of parameters of the failure process and the repair effect in repairable systems are considered. We propose estimation procedures in repairable systems without preventive maintenances. The failure process is modeled by a proportional age reduction model (Brown, Mahoney, Sivazlian [5]) which is able to consider both aging and repair effects. Maximum likelihood method is used to estimate the repair effect and parameters of intensity function simultaneously. simulations are performed to evaluate the accuracy of estimators. A numerical example is also presented.

  • High voltage ceramic capacitors are widely applied in power electronic circuits, such as filters, snubbers, and resonant circuits, due to their excellent features of high voltage endurance and low aging. This paper presents a result of failure analysis and reliability evaluation for high voltage ceramic capacitors. The failure nodes and failure mechanisms were identified in order to understand the failure physics in a component. The causes of failure mechanisms for zero resistance phenomena under withstanding voltage test in high voltage ceramic capacitors molded by epoxy resin were studied by establishing an effective closed-loop failure analysis. Also, the condition for dielectric breakdown was investigated. Particular emphasis was placed on breakdown phenomena at the ceramic-epoxy interface. The validity of the results in this study was confirmed by the results of accelerated testing. Thermal shock test as well as pressure cooker test for high voltage ceramic capacitor mounted on a magnetron were implemented. Delamination between ceramic and epoxy, which, might cause electrical short in underlying circuitry, can occur during curing or thermal cycling. The results can be conveniently used to quickly identify defective lots, determine mean time to failure (MTTF) of each lot at the level of Inspection, and detect major changes in the vendors processes.

  • 전동기 절연열화와 파괴는 전동기에 가해지는 스트레스에 영향을 받는다. 즉 절연물의 수명은 주어지는 스트레스의 심한 정도에 따라서 좌우된다. 전동차용 견인전동기에서도 과도서지에 의한 전기적인 열화를 검토하는 것은 매우 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 인버터에서 발생되는 과도서지에 의한 고정자 코일의 절연특성을 고찰해 보았다. 전동기의 절연상태, 열화진전도, 열화발생 범위 등을 측정하는 유용한 비파괴시험 방법에는 여러 가지가 이용되고 있다. 누설전류, 유전손실(tan$\delta$), 정전용량, 성극지수(PI), 부분방전 등의 방법들을 통하여 고정자 코일의 절연상태를 분석하였다. 이러한 진단 방법들은 전동차의 견인전동기에 대한 열화상태와 수명예측에 유용한 방법이 될 것으로 여겨진다.

  • The winding problems of traction motor are the major determinant of motor's life. The root cause of winding failure is gradual deterioration of the insulation due to thermal, electrical, mechanical and environmental stresses. The aging of the insulation reduces the electrical and mechanical strength of the insulation. At same point, a voltage surge or mechanical shock from a traction motor start will fracture or break down the insulation. To achieve the expected life usually requires extensive laboratory evaluation of the insulation systems and the use of accelerated aging tests. There are several nondestructive test available for checking, the condition of motor insulation, the probable extent of aging, and the rate of which aging is taking place. So the insulation characteristics of stator coil were each analyzed by measurement of dielectric loss(tan$\sigma$), capacitance and partial discharge. The method of diagnosis is able to analyze the insulation condition and evaluate the life of the traction motor.

  • This paper presents a methodology to predict a failure probability related to the aging generating units in Korea power system. Each generator is represented by a combined reliability model of its individual components, which is determined by failure data. The Weibull distribution is used to calculate failure probability and its parameters are obtained from Type II Censoring. Consequently, the proposed methods would likely to permit utilities to reduce overall costs in the new deregulated environment.

  • In this paper, the failure analysis of an optical disk drive is carried out and the limit ranges of the misalignment f3r the higher performance are presented. Since optical disks are removable from optical disk drive, the translational and angular misalignments, which causes read/write errors, always exist. Therefore, the limit ranges of the misalignment should be investigated. For this reason, the failure analysis by the vibration analysis is studied. The influences of the misalignment are tested by the aging test. And the limit ranges of the misalignment are proposed for the reliability of optical disk drives.

  • This study was investigated for searching a cause of flashover failure of polymer insulator and preparing countermeasures. Hydrophobicity, microstructure and chemical structural change of polymer weathershed were studied by polymer characterization methods. In addition, the electrical properties such as power frequency dry flashover voltage/impulse voltage tests, contamination characteristics were carried out. The hydrophobicity of polymer weathershed was decreased significantly and cracks were observed on the surface. Also, the electrical characteristics did not satisfy the KEPCO specification. The failed polymer insulators showed the more leakage current than 4 years service-aged ones. From the result, it can be concluded that the flashover failure of polymer insulator was attributed to the surface aging and severe contamination.

  • This paper presents a method to predict failure probability related to aging. To calculate failure probability, the Weibull distribution is used due to age-related reliability. The Weibull distribution has shape and scale parameters. Each estimated parameter is obtained from Data Analytic Method (Type II Censoring) which is relatively simpler and faster than the traditional calculation ways for estimating parameters. Also, this paper shows the calculation procedures of a probabilistic failure prediction through a stochastic data analysis. Consequently, the proposed methods would be likely to permit that the new deregulated environment forces utilities to reduce overall costs while maintaining an age-related reliability index.

  • After introducing diagnosis equipment power failure prevention activities for distribution system have become more active. To do facility diagnosis and maintenance work more efficiently we need to evaluate reliability for the system and should determine the priority line with appropriate criteria. Thus, to calculate risk factor for the power distribution line that are composed of many component facilities its historical failure events for the last 5 years are collected and analysed. The failure statics show that more than 60% of various failures are related to environment factors randomly and about 20% of the failures are refer to the aging. As a strategic evaluation system reflecting these environmental influence is needed, a system on the basis of the probabilistic approach related statical variables in terms of failure rate and failure probability of electrical components is proposed. The figures for the evaluation are derived from the field failure DB. With adopting Bayesian rule we can calculate easily about conditional probability query. The proposed evaluation system is demonstrated with model system and the calculated indices representing the properties of the model line are discussed.
