To improve the standard of living of its citizens, local festivals is located in one axis of the new culture. These symptoms shows that there is increasing awareness of traditional culture such as Hanryu. The purpose of this study is to develope the presentative Dress of Andong International Maskdance Festival to stimulate curiosity and participate easily. 24 villages in Andong were present to represent appropriate Dress of Maskdance Festival which have been announced through the fashion show. The characteristics of the maskdance dress which presented in this study has the purpose of making the specialties of each village to tourism resources. Characteristics of the maskdance dress which designed to blend on the mask was as following. (1) Maskdance dress should shown well and must have strong durability of strenuous exercise in maskdance (2) Maskdance dress should be able to get the sympathy of the spectators. (3) Maskdance dress should be sympathetic as modern costumes. (4) Aesthetics as custumes and requirements as product must be met. (5) Acceptance of Andong region's traditional beauty is required. (6) Maskdance dress is likely to require long-term use. (7) Maskdance dress must be able to accommodate a variety of body conditions. Through customer satisfaction survey of 158 spectators and 48 members of fashion show, the relevance of masks and costumes, aesthetic and motility of costumes, commercialization potential, especially costume' motility and functional fitness of clothing sizes was highly evaluated. So maskdance dress or stage costumes as long-term development is likely to be considered. And continued research is needed.

Existing art, media art, accompanied by a new path of awareness and perception instrumentalized by the human body, creating a new way to watch the interaction is proposed. Western art way to create visual images of the point cloud that represented a form that is similar to the Pointage. This traditional painting techniques using digital technology means reconfiguration. In this paper, a new appreciation of fusion of aesthetic elements and digital technology, making the point cloud in the form of video. And this holographic film projection of the spectator, and gestures to interact with the video content is presented. A Process of making contents is intent planning, content creation, content production point cloud in the form of image, 3D gestures for interaction design process, go through the process of holographic film projection. Visual and experiential content of memory recall process takes place in the consciousness of the people expressed. Complete the process of memory recall, uncertain memories, memories materialized, recalled. Uncertain remember the vague shapes of the point cloud in the form of an image represented by the image. As embodied memories through the act of interaction to manipulate images recall is complete.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the metatheatricality of Harris' plays marked by the device of 'play-within-a-play' - Androcles and the Lion, Arkansaw Bear, and Punch and Judy. In his metatheatrical plays Harris shows that characters perform for themselves and others. The framework that inner performance is going on within the outer frame play is formed on the stage, and this device reminds the audience in the seats that they are representing reality but that they are only in the middle of performing on the stage. Based on this point of view, this study explores fictionality of character, and play. In Androcles and the Lion, the most-performed children's play in America, the metatheatrical elements are shown in the style of commedia dell'arte, which attacks the rigidity of characters' identity in the Roman society. Another well-known children's play, Arkansaw Bear consists of realistic frame play and fantastic inner play in the mind of a girl, both of which function as a mirror each other and help to sustain aesthetic distance to death and reality on the stage. In Punch and Judy, the structure of frame play and inner puppet play reminds that what's going on in the play is just a fictional play and reflects history of children's puppet show. Harris' unique metatheatricality, the heightened awareness of his own artistic medium, offers children educational opportunity to learn about how a play is performed on the stage and contributes to convey mature theme through children's imaginary participation in the process of playmaking on the stage.

Unique and variety designs are required in the contemporary society as the design has predominant power. National character and identity of traditional culture support it, and it is far more important to reinterpret, succeed and develop unique traditional beauty as the contemporary continues globalization and informatization. Among the accessories of women in Joseon, hair accessories accounted for the majority, and hair style and hair accessories were developed by their status and social hierarchy. But, due to social norm, they were reserved for luxurious accessories and expressed their aesthetic desire with refined and simple accessories. The current period requires cultural identity. In this sense, this study is expected to give a new awareness of our unique identity, new concept of the traditional culture and spreading beauty of Korea by means of new conceptual accessories that can be connected with the preference of the contemporary with the creation of Korean style image.

This study aims to suggest practical considerations for designing protective clothing with increased visibility that will have higher user acceptance by law enforcement officers. Light-emitting diode(LED) patrol vests were visually and structurally assessed, and 125 police officers' responses from surveys about user acceptance of the vest were analyzed. The current LED patrol vest was designed for enhanced safety of police officers by increasing visibility in the dark. However, the user acceptance rate of the LED patrol vest indicates low use of and low satisfaction with the vest despite its enhanced safety features. In particular, differences in materials, design, functionality of the pockets and size of the vest depending on the hours worked, were statistically significant. The police officers' responses suggest areas of improvement in design, materials, ease of movement, size and functionality. Key issues include 'tactile discomfort'; 'impeded vision from the glare of the LED'; 'frequent malfunctions of the LED'; 'impossible repair of the broken LED units'; 'no user feedback'; 'inconvenient to replace batteries'; 'brittle materials' and 'unpleasing look'. To increase user acceptance, designer should incorporate context-awareness, a convenient user interface, a modular design approach, first responders' self-image as public servants in relation to their aesthetic perspectives of their uniforms, and scientific evaluation of the effectiveness of the intended functions of the clothing. Suggested implications for designing the LED patrol vest can be applied to designing other functional/protective clothing for intended end users with special needs.

The purpose of this study is to promote the artistic value and formative aesthetic of clothes in daily life through a proposal of inventive fashion design by utilizing Depaysement of Surrealism, which visualizes a more realistically and more specifically than fact in illogical and unfamiliar situation, Focused on details of Korean traditional costume silhouette. The method of this study, the literature and existing researches related to Depaysement were analyzed through theoretical review for establish the expressive techniques of Depaysement expressed in contemporary fashion. Conclusions from this study are as follows: first, the expressive techniques of Depaysement are derived that are 'change of scale', 'change of materials', 'combination of heterogeneous objects', 'arrangement of object in a strange space', 'overlapped object', 'paradoxical image', 'variable awareness of boundary.' Second, expressive techniques of Depaysement present a new methodology which can express an irrational thinking, which is not controled by reason such as unconsciousness, dream, and fantasy etc, in a way that is easier and more realistic rather than thinking centered on an art which is ruled by consciousness. Third, unique and free-form fashion design, which destroys a general idea, was could develop by using abundant materials and composing items borrowed various silhouette for expressive the techniques of Depaysement. Forth, Through this study, the concept of Korean fashion design, that was limited by the standard form when we approach Korean fashion design as identity of social culture, ideology of reflection and expression, object of commercial expression, was could think outside of the box.

Analyzing the inner meaning and expression of philosophy by analyzing the composition, symbolic expression, and style of the film with high artistic perfection, which contains the spirit of the times, considers human beings through society and history, and raises awareness of life and the present generation. It will be a very meaningful and valuable study in film as art. The movie 'Rome' was cut into the rest of the public's mind by being tempered, hidden and omitted, and the color was black and white. Many aesthetic attempts can be found through symbolic images expressing the ironic message of maid's daily life as a race, capital, socially oppressed history. It can be seen that he expresses his own authorism visual language by drawing symbolic expressions through many contrasts and symbolic expressions through objects. The analysis of commercial films containing these artistic values is expected to help in the future production as a measure of the progress of art films and precedents of authorism expression techniques.

As the change in social awareness regarding cats is consistent with the lifestyle of modern people who seek an independent life, the number of cats owned as a pet and its market will continue to increase. The compainion animals are not just pets to pet owners, but people communicate with their pets and the pets have begun to be recognized as a member of their family. Although the pet industry has been steadily growing and the number of cats owned by households is rapidly increasing, there is a lack of study on products based on understanding the characteristics and behavior of cats. The purpose of this study is to propose a versatile furniture design considering the behavior characteristics of cats. The versatile furniture that is easy to move and rearrange according to necessity and the environment of residential space always pays to make better use of the space. We would like to propose versatile furniture that can satisfy the aesthetic pleasures of cats and can be used as furniture at the same time depending on purpose and situation. This study aims to develop the design of furniture that can make a better environment for pets and pet owners, an it is expected to be a basic study of furniture design for them.

The fashion industry analyzes the value of its essence with ecological design and is expressed as an innovative sculpture using digital technology. Accordingly, this study explores ecological images and digital technologies, categorizes types and derives their meanings through analysis of ecological images shown in modern digital fashion. A literature survey was conducted on ecological images and digital technology as a theoretical background. To analyze the expression type and internal meanings of ecological images, designs with ecological formability were selected and analyzed from related journals, books, and internet sites. The finding are as follows: The expression type was first identified as organic curved garment silhouettes of a non-material liquid with digital retouching. Second, ecological fashion design includes structural shape that applies the silhouette of an organism and patterning of the ecosystem. Third, ecosystems consist of interactions between components of an ecosystem that appear in the interactive type. Accordingly, the internal meanings of ecological images in modern digital fashion are: first, digital fashion can encircle the inherent concepts of nature as organic collections of individuals; second, digital ecological images emphasize a sense of community with coexistence and harmony, playing a complementary role; and finally, the images express perceptual features by providing people with transcendent experiences. This study is significant as it analyzes new formative features based on ecological systems in the digital fashion environment, establishes an aesthetic system through internal meanings, and enhances awareness of human-natural relationships.

This study aimed to analyze citizen awareness of the transforming of a former military site in the city into use as an urban park, and to determine the direction of park creation in the context of urban regeneration. The study focused on the city of Uijungbu, so-called "representative military city" of Korea, which has over eight US military army corps in CBD and which islocated on the northside of Seoul. The questionnaire survey was carried out in the year of 2006, during two months from 1 June till 30 July. The research was carried out by book review as a theoretical base and a questionnaire survey to analyze citizen awareness. The conclusions of this study were as follows. 1. Areas that have been transformed from a former military site to large urban parks for the promotion of economic, social, environmental, and aesthetical value in the context of urban regeneration include Downsview Park(Toronto, Canada), and Great Park(Irvine, CA U.S.A). 2. The citizens of Euijungbu emphasized having casual rest and recreational functions in an urban park, but were also concerned with the promotion of cultural image, activation of the city's economy, etc. 3. The citizens preferred to use the former military site for a park instead of for residential and commercial purposes to introduce cultural facilities and encourage economic activation. 4. All results of this study proposed to use the former military site for encouraging and activating the urban economy, cultural promotion, social reconciliation and aesthetic value by the transforming the site into a large, multi-use park in the context of urban regeneration.
