We study free actions of finite groups on the 3-dimensional nilmanifold and classify all such group actions, up to topological conjugacy. This work generalize Theorem 3.10 of [1].

Crinum asiaticum var. japonicum is a wild plant growing only in Jeju-island, Korea, and in Japan. The whole part of this plant has been known to have the pharmacological actions such as analgesic, anti-inflammatory, platelet-aggregation inhibitory, antitussive, and expectorant. With these assumed actions, the leaves (Crinum folium) of this plant has been used in the folk remedies for arthritis and arthralgia. There is, however, no scientific evidences for the pharmacological actions of Crinum asiaticum var. japonicum. In the present study, the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and platelet-aggregation inhibitory actions of Crinium folium were evaluated using writhing test, tail-flick test, carrageenin antiedema test, in vitro thromboxane $B_2$ quantitation assay and in vitro platelet aggregation test. In order to obtain the partially purified fraction whose pharmacological action is excellent, the methanol extract of Crinium folium was fractionated consecutively into four biological fractions such as ether, ethyl acetate, butanol, and water fractions and their pharmacological actions of the fractions were investigated. Putting our results together, Crinium folium, especially ethyl acetate fraction was proven to have significant analgesic, anti-inflammatory and platelet-aggregation inhibitory actions by inhibition of prostanoids biosynthesis as one of its mechanism of action.

For pseudo-free and recurrent self-similar groups, we show that continuous orbit equivalence of inverse semigroup partial actions implies continuous orbit equivalence of group actions. Conversely, if group actions are continuous orbit equivalent, and the induced homeomorphism commutes with the shift maps on their groupoids, we obtain continuous orbit equivalence of inverse semigroup partial actions.

In this paper we consider all orientation-preserving ${\mathbb{Z}}_4$-actions on 3-dimensional handlebodies $V_g$ of genus g > 0. We study the graph of groups (${\Gamma}(v)$, G(v)), which determines a handlebody orbifold $V({\Gamma}(v),G(v)){\simeq}V_g/{\mathbb{Z}}_4$. This algebraic characterization is used to enumerate the total number of ${\mathbb{Z}}_4$ group actions on such handlebodies, up to equivalence.

We study free actions of finite abelian groups on 3­dimensional nilmanifolds. By the works of Bieberbach and Waldhausen, this classification problem is reduced to classifying all normal nilpotent subgroups of almost Bieberbach groups of finite index, up to affine conjugacy. All such actions are completely classified.

To gain competitive advantage in a fast changing environment, the higher education institution (HEI) must continuously adjust the strategies to that environment. One important strategy is how to determine appropriate practical actions based on what students really need and want. Despite the abundance of research on service quality management, there is no universal consensus on how best to determine appropriate practical actions in HEIs. The aim of this paper is to develop an integrated model to be used to accurately acquire the most critical service attributes and determine appropriate actions that promote student satisfaction. Drawing on relevant literature, an integrated model is proposed which is based on students' perspective by integrating the fuzzy SERVQUAL, refined Kano, and Blue Ocean model. Subsequently, an empirical case study in the higher education sector is described that illustrates the value of the model in determining the most critical attributes and how to improve them.

The generalized coGottlieb sets are not known to be groups in general. We study some conditions which make them groups. Moreover, there are actions on the generalized coGottlieb sets which are different from known actions up to now. We give related exact sequence of the generalized coGottlieb sets. Using them, we obtain certain results related to the maps which preserve generalized coGottlieb sets.

A speaker's intentions can be represented by domain actions (domain-independent speech act and domain-dependent concept sequence pairs). Therefore, it is essential that domain actions be determined when implementing dialogue systems because a dialogue system should determine users' intentions from their utterances and should create counterpart intentions to the users' intentions. In this paper, a neural network model is proposed for classifying a user's domain actions and planning a system's domain actions. An integrated neural network model is proposed for simultaneously determining user and system domain actions using the same framework. The proposed model performed better than previous non-integrated models in an experiment using a goal-oriented dialogue corpus. This result shows that the proposed integration method contributes to improving domain action determination performance.
