The main purpose of this study was investigate the relationship between the perception of college climate and attribution of success and failure about college life and cadet's academic performance. The subjects were 490 cadets of freshman, sophomore and junior of Korea Maritime University. The data was analysed by Pearson's correlation, one-way and simple factorial ANOV A, $x^2$, and t-test by using SPSSWIN Ver. 7.5 programme. The major results of this study were as follows : 1. Social relationship orientation was higher than the others on the perception of college climate, while the relationship between professor and collegian was lower. 2. The most collegian recognized on the attribution of failure about the college life and the relationship between professor and collegian. • The main purpose of this study is to analyze research trend of 'business failure' from academic papers published in Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business. In this review, first, we reviewed research trend of failure, published in academic journals at abroad, explored the major topics, and set forth the framework of classification. Second, we selected and analyzed 16 Korean articles in a refined search from total 1,060 articles published in Asia Pacific Journal of Small Business from 1979 to 2019. Third, in order to understand overall research trend in Korea, additional publication search was done by online database system using keywords, and 24 other articles were selected. As a result, five research themes were identified and analyzed: (1) bankruptcy prediction, (2) emotion before and after failure, (3) costs of failure, (4) causes of failure, and (5) reentry determinants. We believe that this purposed review will offer future research issues regarding business failure.

  • The academic information system of a university is the core system of the university, and since it has to manage all the various activities in the university, such as student academic records, it becomes complicated every year and the data increases indiscriminately. As a result, the reliability of the data of the academic information system is lowered, which causes communication problems with users and may cause a major failure in the system. Therefore, in this paper, column attribute analysis, allowable value list analysis, string pattern analysis, date type analysis, and unique value analysis methods were designed for the academic information system using the data profiling technique of data quality management. In the implementation stage, the script was implemented using the above five analysis methods, and by executing the script, errors by type of the academic information system were found, the cause of the error was found and corrected inside the system, and the probability of internal system failure was lowered.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between children's Temperamental Effortful Control and adolescents' Academic failure tolerance(AFT). Specifically, Grit effect as a mediator between Effortful Control and AFT was also determined. A total of 108 children participated as they were at age 8, and as they turned 14 years old. Children Behavior Questionnaire (CBQ) was measured to investigate children's Effortful Control, and Grit scale and AFT scale were measured to investigate adolescents' Grit and their response to failure. The results of this study showed that children's Effortful Control was significantly related to AFT. And adolescents' Grit was also positively related to adolescents' AFT. In addition, Effortful Control was related to Grit. Finally, Grit partly mediated the relationship between Effortful Control and AFT.

  • The study was attempted to investigate the factors influencing the academic procrastination of nursing college students. The subjects who participated in this study were 215 nursing students at one college in the Ulsan were surveyed using a structured questionnairs. Independent t-test, one way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient, Stepwise regression were performed on the collected data using SPSS 25.0 program. Study finding revealed that fear of failure(β=0.65, p<.001), socially prescribed perfectionism(β=0.29, p<.001), about academic procrastination were significant predictive variables(F=26.68, p<.001). This variables accounted for 28.8% of the variance in core nursing competency. The results of this study can be used as basic data for developing a program to lower the academic procrastination level of nursing students.

  • Objectives: The purpose of these cases is to report the effects of oriental medicine on two patients with premature ovarian failure. Methods: Two patients who had amenorrhea and hot flashes caused by premature ovarian failure were treated by oriental medicine such as herb medication. We estimated the effects of treatments by follow-up measurements of serum hormone level, menstrual cycle and symptoms. Besides, follicle and endometrium were checked by ultrasonography for academic research. Results After treatments, their symptoms of premature ovarian failure were improved and the menstrual cycle resumed. And the level of serum Follicle Stimulating Hormone decreased and the level of serum E2 increased. Conclusions Two cases shows that oriental medicine has effects on patients with premature ovarian failure by follow-up measurements of serum hormone level, menstrual cycle and symptoms.

  • This study aimed to identify the correlation between internal/external motive, academic failure (emotion, behavior, task preference), depression (depressive emotion, behavioral disorder, loss of interest, self-degradation and physiological symptom), and academic efficacy of elementary school students with underachievement basic learning, and discover the influential variables on internal/external motive, targeting 56 elementary school students with underachievement in third and fifth grade of 10 elementary schools in G metropolitan city. The research conducted T-test to figure out the difference between the children with underachievement by year and carried out theregression analysis to identify the predictors of self-determination motives. First, there was a difference between the third and fifth graders in terms of the external motives. Second, the influential variables for external motives of children with underachievement included depressive emotion, loss of interest and physiological symptom. Therefore, as more third graders with underachievement study under the external motives compared to the fifth graders, it is concluded necessary to adopt a program to reduce the variables for depression that influence the external motives.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop evidence-based nursing practice guidelines for hemodialysis in the renal failure patients with risk of bleeding and to evaluate the guidelines by applying it to the practice. Method: Referring to the SIGN, the first draft for guidelines was developed based on the advices and recommendations obtained from the procedure of critical literature analysis. Then, the draft was modified by the procedures of the expert group evaluation and pilot application to the practice. The final draft was evaluated by the expert group using AGREE instrument. Result: The first draft of guidelines was developed through 8 stages of process and was evaluated by seven experts in terms of the appropriateness, applicability, and effectiveness using a 9 point scale. The mean score of 11 items was 7.90 or above. The quality of the final draft was evaluated by 5 experts using the AGREE instrument. The mean standard score was 73.0% or above in the 19 items. Conclusion: The clinical guidelines developed by this research can be utilized as systematic and scientific guidelines for hemodialysis in the renal failure patients with risk of bleeding. In addition, the research can contribute to improving care services.
