간호대학생의 대학생활 적응 영향요인 (Factors Influencing the Adaptation to the College Life of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the degree of undergraduate nursing student adaptation to college life and investigate the factors that influenced that adaptation. Methods: First-year (undergraduate) students attending three nursing colleges were surveyed from November 24 through December 5, 2014; and data from 206 respondents were analyzed. For data analysis, multiple regression analysis was performed using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results: The findings showed that age (p=.002), emotional intelligence (p<.001), and self-efficacy (p<.001) were significant variables that influenced first-year undergraduate nursing student adaptation to college life. Undergraduate nursing student adaptation was explained by self-efficacy (${\beta}=.327$, p<.001), emotional intelligence (${\beta}=.222$, p=.001), satisfaction with education in their academic major (${\beta}=-.217$, p<.001), and academic achievement (${\beta}=.136$, p=.018); and, the explanatory power of these variables was 41.2%. Conclusion: To facilitate undergraduate nursing student adaptation to college life prior to clinical practice, developing and apply programs to improve self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, satisfaction with education in their major, and academic achievement is deemed necessary.

간호학생의 학업스트레스 영향요인: 공감의 하위영역, 자아탄력성, 스트레스 대처방식을 중심으로 (Influence Factors on Academic Stress of Nursing Students: Focused on Dimensions of Empathy, Ego-resilience, Stress-coping Strategies)

  • 본 연구는 공감의 하위영역, 자아탄력성, 스트레스 대처방식을 중심으로 간호학생의 학업스트레스 영향요인을 파악하기 위해 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 2015년 11월 1일부터 2015년 11월 30일까지 간호학생 305명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 대상자의 학업스트레스, 하위영역별 공감, 자아탄력성, 스트레스 대처방식을 파악하였다. 연구결과 간호학생의 학업스트레스 영향요인은 학년, 성격성향, 전공만족도, 자아탄력성 및 정서중심 대처방식으로 파악되었고, 총 설명력은 54.1%이었다. 이상으로 간호학생의 학업스트레스를 개선시켜 건강한 학교생활을 돕기 위해서는 간호학생 중 고학년, 성격이 외향적인 경우와 전공만족도가 낮은 경우에 관심을 가질 필요가 있겠다. 학업스트레스 감소를 위한 프로그램 개발 시에는 자아탄력성과 스트레스 대처방식 중 정서중심 대처방식 수준을 개선시킬 수 있는 방안을 포함시켜야 하겠으며, 하위영역별 공감, 자아탄력성, 스트레스 대처방식이 학업스트레스에 영향을 미치는 경로를 파악하는 후속연구의 진행이 필요하다고 사료된다.

  • 치위생 전공 학생을 대상으로 학업적 자기효능감, 주관적 행복감이 학업 탄력성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하여 치위생 전공 학생 지도 및 대학생활 적응에 도움을 주고자 시행하였다. 2020년 4월부터 6월까지 2개월 동안 대전·충남 지역의 치위생 전공 학생을 임의추출하여 자기기입식 설문조사를 시행하였고, 총 175명을 최종분석하였다. 연구결과 학업 탄력성에 영향을 주는 요인은 주관적 행복감, 학업적 자기효능감이었고, 그 중 가장 영향을 주는 요인은 주관적 행복감이었으며, 설명력은 25.6%였다. 치위생 전공 학생 지도 및 대학생활 적응과 관련된 요인을 제시함으로써 대학생활 적응에 관련된 프로그램 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있는 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

코로나19 상황에서 간호대학생의 학업적 자기효능감, 수면의 질, 삶의 질에 관한 연구 (A Study on Academic Self-efficacy, Sleep Quality and Quality of Life of Nursing Students in the COVID-19 Situation)

  • Purpose : This descriptive research study aimed to investigate the relationship among academic self-efficacy, sleep quality, and quality of life(QoL) and to identify the factors that affect quality of life(QoL) in nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method : A total of 214 nursing students from three South Korean colleges were included in the study. Collected data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the differences in academic self-efficacy, sleep quality, and quality of life(QoL) according to general characteristics. In addition, post-hoc Scheffè test and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used to examine the relationship among the three parameters. Stepwise multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify influential factors on the nursing students' quality of life(QoL). Results : The average academic self-efficacy, sleep quality, and quality of life(QoL) scores were 3.15±0.27, 32.28±7.54, and 81.12±13.11, respectively. Quality of life(QoL) positively correlated with academic self-efficacy but negatively correlated with sleep quality. Academic self-efficacy negatively correlated with sleep quality. Sleep quality, satisfaction with major, sex, average income, and academic self-efficacy influenced quality of life(QoL), whose explanatory power was 34.9 %. Conclusion : Sleep quality was the most influential factor of quality of life(QoL). However, further studies to validate our findings and studies focusing on developing intervention programs to improve nursing students' sleep quality and quality of life(QoL) are warranted.

개인의 건강관리능력(Personal Power of Health Care; PPHC) 도구 개발 (Scale Development: The Personal Power of Health Care (PPHC))

  • Purpose: A new scale was developed to measure personal power and ability for health care and promotion including health determinants. Method: Research phases designed for this study were a literature review, scale development, discussion with experts, pre-test for content validity, and survey for construct validity and reliability. The scale was composed of 20 items on 4 point Likert scale and was tested on middle aged Korean-Americans (110) and Koreans (105) living in a community. Result: As the result of factor analysis, 7 dimensions were identified that were similar yet different from the original dimensions. They included health literacy, socialbelonging and gender role, self-perception, health policy participation, socio-cultural interpersonal relationships, spiritual comfort, and socioeconomic involvement. The total variances explained 59.73%. The reliability was .736 of Cronbach's alpha. The mean PPHC was not different in age, gender, economic status and disease presence, but significantly different in country where living, religion, education level, job presence, and emigration period. The increased power group perceived more wellbeing and less depression, high internal locus of control and increased power with others. In addition, they had a greater health promotion lifestyle profile. Conclusion: This scale was statistically reliable and valid to measure personal power of health care.

Enhancing Global Research Visibility of Faculty Staffs by the Academic libraries in Public Universities in South East, Nigeria

  • Academic libraries are at the forefront of supporting their parent institutions in teaching and learning, research activities, and community services for the students and faculty members, but, the researchers observed that some of the research emanating from faculty members in academic institutions particularly universities remains largely unknown, unrecognized and invisible on the global scene. This present paper is therefore a modest attempt towards addressing the issue of enhancing the faculty research visibility in the institutions of higher learning by the academic libraries. It also examines the extent academic libraries in public universities in Nigeria use research visibility channels to increase the global visibility of their faculty members. Difficulties encountered by librarians and ways of tackling the visibility of the faculty were also examined. A descriptive survey research design was adopted and the population consisted of all the 162 librarians in public universities in South-East (S.E), Nigeria. Telephone calls and Online Questionnaire were used for data collection. The number of librarians was obtained through phone calls from the Heads of each of the Libraries. The Online Questionnaire was submitted to the WhatsApp platforms of librarians in Nigeria- Academic and Research Libraries (ARL) and Chartered Librarians in Nigeria Connect (CLN-Connect). The questionnaire was structured in such a way that only the Librarians in Public universities in the S.E. Nigeria will respond to it. At the end of the day only 120 librarians responded, at a response rate of 74%. The study was analysed using tables, percentages and charts. The study recommended that librarians who are unaware of RVCs and its utilization should go for training to acquire the knowledge that will enable them enhance the global visibility of faculty staff, Management of Public universities in S.E, Nigeria should in addition to addressing copyright issues by the use of disclaimer notices and creative common licensing and provision of infrastructural facilities e.g. steady power supply, High power brand Internet connectivity, establishment of an Institutional Repository, etc, also should mandate the faculty staff to release their productive work to the library for onward submission to the RVCs platforms for enhancement of their global visibility.

원격대학 학습자의 학업스트레스와 ASE 모델 요인이 학업지속의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Academic Stress and ASE(Attitude-Social Influence-Self Efficacy) Model Factors on Academic Persistence of Online University Students)

  • 개인적 변인의 폭이 넓은 학습자 특성과 학업 방식의 독특성, 그리고 다양한 학습 환경이라는 특성을 가진 원격대학생의 학업지속성을 높이기 위하여 원격대학 학습자에 대해 행위수행의도를 중심으로 접근하는 ASE 모델을 포함하여 분석하는 것은 새로운 접근이라 할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 원격대학 학습자의 학업스트레스와 학습태도, 사회적 영향과 학업적 자기효능감으로 구성된 ASE 모델요인과 학업지속의도 간 관계를 파악하고, 이들 요인이 원격대학 학습자의 학업지속의도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 K 원격대학 2학년 학생을 대상으로 2018년 3월부터 6월까지 설문조사를 실시하여 최종 181명의 설문자료를 빈도분석, ${\chi}^2$검증, t-검증. F-검증, Pearson's correlation 분석 및 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 학업지속의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 다중회귀분석 결과, 모델은 통계적으로 유의하였고(F=15.76, p<.001), 설명력은 29%였으며, 유의한 영향요인은 학업스트레스(${\beta}=-.16$, p=.016), 온라인 학습태도(${\beta}=.44$, p<.001)와 사회적 영향 요인 중 사회적 지지(${\beta}=.13$, p=.045)였다. 원격대학 학습자의 학업지속의도를 높이기 위해 학업스트레스를 낮추고, 온라인 학습태도를 높이며, 사회적 지지를 구축할 수 있는 정교한 맞춤형 프로그램의 개발 및 적용이 필요하다.

간호대학생의 학업탄력성에 영향을 주는 요인 (Factors Affecting Academic Resilience of Nursing Students)

  • 학업장면에서 과도한 위협으로 볼 수 있는 치명적이거나 만성적인 역경을 극복해내는 개인의 역량인 학업탄력성은 스트레스를 극복할 수 있는 심리적 능력이다. 이에 본 연구는 간호대학생의 학업탄력성에 영향을 주는 요인은 파악하고자 시행된 조사연구이다. 총 554명의 간호대학생을 대상으로 대인커뮤니케이션 능력과 행복감이 학업탄력성에 미치는 효과를 설문조사하였으며 SPSS version 21.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 학업탄력성은 학년, 주거형태, 대인관계, 성격유형과 학업성적에 따라 차이가 있었다. (2) 학업탄력성은 대인의사소통 능력(r=.46, p<.001, 행복감(r=.35, p<.001)과 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. (3) 학업탄력성의 유의한 영향요인은 학년(p=.002), 주거형태(p=.001), 학업성적(p<.001), 대인의사소통 능력(p<.001), 행복감(p<.001)이었으며 설명력은 36.9%이었다. 본 연구결과 대인커뮤니케이션 능력과 행복감은 간호대학생의 학업탄력성에 긍정적인 영향요인으로 나타났다. 더 나아가 학업탄력성을 향상시키기 위해 대인커뮤니케이션 능력과 행복감을 증진시킬 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구를 제안한다.

간호대학생의 학습열의, 학업적 자기효능감이 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Academic Engagement and Academic Self-efficacy on Problem Solving Ability of Nursing students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 학습열의, 학업적 자기효능감이 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 본 연구는 B시의 간호대학생 219명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관계수, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 대상자의 문제해결능력 평균 4.00±0.51점이었고, 일반적 특성에 따른 문제해결능력의 차이는 전공만족도(F=9.476, p<.001), 수업만족도(F=3.079, p=.048)에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 대상자의 문제해결능력은 학습열의(r=.560, p<.001), 학업적 자기효능감(r=.634, p<.001)과 정적상관관계를 나타냈다. 대상자의 학습열의는 학업적 자기효능감(r=.769, p<.001)과 정적상관관계를 나타냈다. 대상자의 문제해결능력에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학업열의(β=.177, p=.031), 학업적 자기효능감(β=.498, p<.001)으로 확인되었고, 설명력은 41.0%로 나타났다. 따라서 간호대학생의 문제해결능력을 향상시키기 위해 학습열의와 학업적 자기효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

Research on Digital Complex-Correlator of Synthetic Aperture Radiometer: theory and simulation result

  • A new digital correlator fur an airborne synthetic aperture radiometer was designed in order to replace the conventional analog correlator unit which will become very complicated while the number of channels is increasing. The digital correlator uses digital IQ demodulator instead of the intermediate frequency (IF) phase shifter to make the correlation processing performed digitally at base band instead of analogly at IF. This technique has been applied to the digital receiver in softradio. The down-converted IF signals from each pair of receiver channels become low rate base-band digital signals after under-sampled, Digitally Down-Converted (DDC), decimated and filtered by FIR filters. The digital signals are further processed by two digital multipliers (complex correlation), the products are integrated by the integrators and finally the outputs from the integrators compose of the real part and the imaginary part of a sample of the visibility function. This design is tested by comparing the results from digital correlators and that from analog correlators. They are agreed with each other very well. Due to the fact that the digital correlators are realized with the help of Analog-Digital Converter (ADC) chips and the FPGA technology, the realized volume, mass, power consumption and complexity turned out to be greatly reduced compared with that of the analog correlators. Simulations show that the resolution of ADC has an influence on the synthesized antenna patterns, but this can be neglected if more than 2bit is used.
