New Control Scheme for the Wind-Driven Doubly Fed Induction Generator under Normal and Abnormal Grid Voltage Conditions

  • The wind-driven doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) is currently under pressure to be more grid-compatible. The main concern is the fault ride-through (FRT) requirement to keep the generator connected to the grid during faults. In response to this, the paper introduces a novel model and new control scheme for the DFIG. The model provides a means of direct stator power control and considers the stator transients. On the basis of the derived model, a robust linear quadratic (LQ) controller is synthesized. The control law has proportional and integral actions and takes account of one sample delay in the input owing to the microprocessor's execution time. Further, the influence of the grid voltage imperfection is mitigated using frequency shaped cost functional method. Compensation of the rotor current pulsations is proposed to improve the FRT capability as well as the generator performance under grid voltage unbalance. As a consequence, the control system can achieve i) fast direct power control without instability risk, ii) alleviation of the problems associated with the DFIG operation under unbalanced grid voltage, and iii) high probability of successful grid FRT. The effectiveness of the proposed solution is confirmed through simulation studies on 2MW DFIG.

  • The additional matters appear to be considered in several aspects for building up power-quality measuring system of transmission system(high voltage system) compared to distribution system(middle or low voltage system). Like in distribution system, input signals are also received from PT and CT source of voltage and current respectively in transmission system and applied in accordance with a certain rate. In this case, very big error rate can be occurred according to the specification of the measuring system as the applying rate is bigger than in distribution system beyond comparison. In addition, when the abnormal signal occurred such as sag/swell, interruption, transient etc., power quality of other sites linked to the system also should be checked to find the accurate cause of the abnormal power-quality signals from the corresponding site. Accordingly, the accurate diagnosis on the condition of Power quality for the system depends on the way how the synchronization system is brought along for each site. This paper will suggest the solution for the most effective system building focused on how to solve the problem of the error rate and synchronization described in the above when building up the measuring system of power quality for transmission system.

  • 산화물 반도체의 비정상적 전류-전압 특성을 조사하였고, 그 전류-전압 특성을 산화물 반도체 가스센서에 적용하여 히터없이 감지막의 자기발열 메커니즘에 의해 환원성 가스를 검지하는 새로운 방법을 제시하였다. 평면 구조의 후막 가스센서는 WO3가 도핑된 SnO2 산화물 반도체를 이용하여 스크린 프린팅 방법으로 제조하였다. 감지막에 공급된 전압은 감지막의 발열을 초래하고 이 센서에 가스가 노출될 경우, 가스 감지막 표면의 재 반응에 의하여 전류는 급격히 변화하고 이로써 가스를 검지 할 수 있게 되었다. 이 가스 검지 구조의 가장 특이하고 매력적인 면은 검지를 위해 모든 산화물 반도체 가스센서가 가지고 있어야 하는 히터가 필요 없다는 것이다. 이 새로운 감지 방법을 C2H5OH 가스검지에 적용시켜 보았다.

  • 전원입력단에 사용되는 회로는 입력전원만을 사용할 수가 있다. 일반적인 전자회로는 입력전원을 이용하는 전압변환기에 의해 생성되는 2차전원을 이용하게 된다. 하지만 전원입력단의 저전압 및 과전압에 의한 고장에 대비하기 위한 보호회로는 2차 전원을 사용할 수가 없기 때문에, 입력전원만을 이용해서 구현이 되어야 한다. MOS FET의 문턱전압 특성을 이용한 저전압/과정압 검출회로는 50V 입력전압만을 이용해서, 정상적인 전압범위를 벗어나는 저전압/과전압 현상을 정상적으로 검출할 수가 있고, 기존의 Zener diode만으로 보호만 가능했던 것을 검출이 가능하게 되었고, 이상전압검출회로의 동작의 정확도를 결정하는 기준전압은 환경조건 등에 의해서 발생할 수 있는 모든 변수를 고려하면 최악조건 해석상으로 8.4%에서 2.5%로 향상되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 몰드변압기 예방진단을 위해 정상상태와 비정상상태 몰드변압기의 진동신호의 FFT 및 시계열 분석에 관해 연구하였다. 실험올 위한 제어변수들로 공급전압, 부하전류 및 주위온도를 변화시키면서, 진동신호 크기, 주파수 스펙트럼 및 시계열 계수와 같은 측정변수들을 분석하였다. 제어변수 변화에 의한 진동선호는 권선표변과 철섬에 부착된 가속도센서로 측정되었으며, 이 신호들은 중폭기를 거쳐 데이터 수집장치에서 측정변수들로 계산되었다. 또한, 정 상상태 분석 후, 몰드변압기의 구조적 변형올 모의하였다. 비정상상태 진동신호는 정상상태와 같은 제어변수 변화 에 의해 측정되었다. 연구 결과, 정상상태와 비정상상태 진동신호는 수직진동신호와 수평진동신호를 비교하여 분석함으혹써 구별이 가능하였다.

딥러닝 알고리즘을 이용한 매설 배관 피복 결함의 간접 검사 신호 진단에 관한 연구 (Indirect Inspection Signal Diagnosis of Buried Pipe Coating Flaws Using Deep Learning Algorithm)

  • In this study, a deep learning algorithm was used to diagnose electric potential signals obtained through CIPS and DCVG, used indirect inspection methods to confirm the soundness of buried pipes. The deep learning algorithm consisted of CNN(Convolutional Neural Network) model for diagnosing the electric potential signal and Grad CAM(Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping) for showing the flaw prediction point. The CNN model for diagnosing electric potential signals classifies input data as normal/abnormal according to the presence or absence of flaw in the buried pipe, and for abnormal data, Grad CAM generates a heat map that visualizes the flaw prediction part of the buried pipe. The CIPS/DCVG signal and piping layout obtained from the 3D finite element model were used as input data for learning the CNN. The trained CNN classified the normal/abnormal data with 93% accuracy, and the Grad-CAM predicted flaws point with an average error of 2m. As a result, it confirmed that the electric potential signal of buried pipe can be diagnosed using a CNN-based deep learning algorithm.

  • In the course of the investigation to the field dependent electrical conducation mechanism in polypropylene, an abnormal conduction phenomena such as voltage controlled negative resistance charateristics has been observed at the junction of two regions charateriged by schottky effect and space charge effect respectively. This abnormal characteristics was observed initially about 110MV / m of the field strength and at 25 , however, the field strength where it observed was decreased and the apparent feature of negative charateristics was less pronounced as increasing ambient temperature. Although the observations of analogous characteristics in other materials such as polyethylene, polymethylemethactylate, and polystyrene have already been reported together with plausible explanation by Toureille and others, however, it was found that the proposed concept by those authors was little use to the present observations for quantitative discussions. Accordingly we tried to adapt another conceptual discussion based on Gibbons's formulation pertaing to the saturatio trend of the field dependent drift velocity of carriers towards the thermal velocity corresponding to the ambient temperature so that the quantitative explanatio on the observed facts has been succeeded to some estent of reasonable acceptance.

  • Recently, the load increasement and regenerative system of electrified railway system make a difficult to distinguish between the load current and fault current and it need a new intelligent protection system. The failure of traction system cause collapse of the other systems from high tension current. The over current from abnormal situation produces high tension current flow, high temperature are, voltage instability and current cutting, and break down railway systems. Protective system of traction system playa role of which detect and isolate failure points. In this paper, we proposed intelligent algorithm for discriminating normal and abnormal situation instead of the system being operated abnormally.

IDDQ 테스팅을 위한 내장형 전류 감지 회로 설계 (Design of a Built-In Current Sensor for IDDQ Testing)

  • This paper presents a current sensor that detects defects in CMOS integrated circuits using the current testing technique. The current sensor is built in a CMOS integrated circuit to test an abnormal current. The proposed circuit has a very small impact on the performance of the circuit under test during the normal mode. In the testing mode, the proposed circuit detects the abnormal current caused by permanent manufacturing defects and determines whether the circuit under test is defect-free or not. The proposed current sensor is simple and requires no external voltage and current sources. Hence, the circuit has less area and performance degradation, and is more efficient than any previous works. The validity and effectiveness are verified through the HSPICE simulation on circuits with defects.
