This paper proposes a control strategy based on the frequency detection method, comprising a current control and a feed-forward voltage control loop, is proposed for grid-interactive power conditioning systems (PCS). For continuous provision of power to critical loads, PCS should be able to check grid outages instantaneously. Hence, proposed in the present paper are a frequency detection method for detecting abnormal grid conditions and a controller, which consists of a current controller and a feedforward voltage controller, for different operation modes. The frequency detection method can detect abnormal grid conditions accurately and quickly. The controller which has current and voltage control loops rapidly helps in load voltage regulation when grid fault occurs by changing reference and control modes. The proposed seamless transfer control strategy is confirmed by experimental results.
Currently, Korea is an aging society and is expected to become a super-aged society in about four years. X-ray devices are widely used for early diagnosis in hospitals, and many X-ray technologies are being developed. The development of X-ray device technology is important, but it is also important to increase the reliability of the device through accurate data management. Sensor nodes such as temperature, voltage, and current of the diagnosis device may malfunction or transmit inaccurate data due to various causes such as failure or power outage. Therefore, in this study, the temperature, tube voltage, and tube current data related to each sensor and detection circuit of the diagnostic X-ray imaging device were measured and analyzed. Based on QC data, device failure prediction and diagnosis algorithms were designed and performed. The fault diagnosis algorithm can configure a simulator capable of setting user parameter values, displaying sensor output graphs, and displaying signs of sensor abnormalities, and can check the detection results when each sensor is operating normally and when the sensor is abnormal. It is judged that efficient device management and diagnosis is possible because it monitors abnormal data values (temperature, voltage, current) in real time and automatically diagnoses failures by feeding back the abnormal values detected at each stage. Although this algorithm cannot predict all failures related to temperature, voltage, and current of diagnostic X-ray imaging devices, it can detect temperature rise, bouncing values, device physical limits, input/output values, and radiation-related anomalies. exposure. If a value exceeding the maximum variation value of each data occurs, it is judged that it will be possible to check and respond in preparation for device failure. If a device's sensor fails, unexpected accidents may occur, increasing costs and risks, and regular maintenance cannot cope with all errors or failures. Therefore, since real-time maintenance through continuous data monitoring is possible, reliability improvement, maintenance cost reduction, and efficient management of equipment are expected to be possible.

In this paper, abnormal heating of circuit breaker in panel board by poor connection was studied. Firstly, calculation method of contact resistance shown in IEC 60943 was examined. Secondly, concerning abnormal heating of circuit breaker in panel board, field measurements were performed. Field measurements showed that locally abnormal heating by poor connection could be detected, therefore, in that case, immediate action was needed. Finally, experiments regarding abnormal heating between terminal of circuit breaker and electric wire were conducted. The results showed that abnormal heating above $180^{\circ}C$ was measured. Also, in the results of analysis of electrical waveforms according to load current, voltage drop occurred around poor connection, and the oxide was generated according to mechanical vibration. In order to prevent electrical disaster caused by poor connection, adequate torque should be applied to electrical connection, and periodic check-ups are needed.
The data collected by the In-Situ Decommissioning (ISD) sensors are time-specific, age-specific, and developmental stage-specific. Research has been done on the stream data collected by ISD testbed in the recent few years to seek both frequent episodes and abnormal frequent episodes. Frequent episodes in the data stream have confirmed the daily cycle of the sensor responses and established sequences of different types of sensors, which was verified by the experimental setup of the ISD Sensor Network Test Bed. However, the discovery of abnormal frequent episodes remained a challenge because these abnormal frequent episodes are very small signals and may be buried in the background noise of voltage and current changes. In this work, we proposed Advanced Data Analytics (ADA) methods that are applied to the baseline data to identify frequent episodes and extended our approach by adding more features extracted from the baseline data to discover abnormal frequent episodes, which may lead to the early indicators of ISD system failures. In the study, we have evaluated our approach using the baseline data, and the performance evaluation results show that our approach is able to discover frequent episodes as well as abnormal frequent episodes conveniently.

This paper addresses an improved naval combat UPS(Uninterruptable Power Supply) system under abnormal transients. Previously, thermistor and varistor elements were used to cope with transient overvoltage and overcurrent, however the UPS was frequently unavailable because it was vulnerable to abnormal transient voltage generated during system operation. In order to overcome this problem and protect UPS system, this paper proposes an input power cut-off circuit that detects the initial input power and abnormal transient voltage generated during operation, improvement of power control sequence, and a method to prevent malfunction of an inverter and CPU. The UPS system implementing the proposed method was simulated by input power variable test using programmable AC/DC generator, and finally validated its reliability and stability through field tests by mounting on multifunctional console of naval combat system.
This paper presents the operating characteristic of high voltage impulse(HVI) track circuit owing to the ill-contact of impedance bond lead wire. The characteristic operations of the track include rail voltage and current. Measurements are carried out using oscilloscope with current probe and it analyzed the abnormal operation due to connector of protective wire. Finally, suitable track circuit is proposed for conventional line, and operating characteristic of HVI track circuit is affected by bypass circuit.

A diagnostic test of 15.4kV cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE) ultra high voltage power cables from generator in the Soyanggang hydro electric power plant was conducted over 3 months, beginning April 2001. According to the results, in the case of the power cables from generator 1, there was little possibility of proceeding rapid1y to failure or defect because the data from diagnosis doesn't indicate any failure, deterioration or partial discharge. However, in the case of the power cables from generator 2, the. polarization index show a slight abnormal condition of the insulator that is not severe, and the deterioration was also identified as not severe. However, the partial discharge had an abnormal condition which was severe.
In this paper, Voltage-time characteristics of lightning impulse and switching surge breakdown in SF6 is studied on the gap and various pressure. The characteristics is categorized into three pattern depending on the configuration of the gap and gas pressure. The properties of the voltage-time characteristics in these patterns are generalized as semi-empirical formula which will be useful in the quantitation voltage evaluation of insulation coordination and the abnormal voltage protection of SF6 insulated power equipment.
This paper has been studied the ballast for multiple lamps. Many fluorescent lamps are demanded in where industrial buildings and public buildings. Using the proposed ballast for multiple lamps, we can decrease the cost and the space for installing. Also in the paper, the protection circuit is introduced for over voltage and current. The general problem of the ballast for multiple lamps is to shut down the ballast circuit in the ease of one abnormal lamp. But the proposed method is not shut down all the circuit even if one lamp is in an abnormal condition.

A classic examples of the abnormal combustions are the knock and misfire, which raise noxious performance and life of the engine. A heavy knock can also cause severe damages to the engine itself, which gives more reason why it must be detected and corrected. With the response of the today's requirements, we have researched the new diagnostic system which uses the breakdown voltage characteristics between electrodes of spark plug. This breakdown voltage depends on the pressure, temperature and even the shape and material of electrodes. But there is no data of breakdown voltage in case of using the spark plug as a electrodes. So, in this study, we show the breakdown voltage characteristic by pressure and temperature in constant volume bomb, which will make it possible to diagnose the engine combustion phenomenon.
