This paper presents a new analytic approach using tetrahedrons to determine the forward kinematics of the 3-6-type Stewart platform. By using of the tetrahedral geometry, this approach has the advantage of greatly reducing the complexity of formulation and the computational burden required by the conventional methods which have been solved the forward kinematics with three unknown angles. As a result, this approach allows a significant abbreviation in the formulations and provides an easier means of obtaining the solutions. The proposed method is well verified through a series of numerical simulation.

Causal maps or cognitive maps have been widely used to get insights for complex systems or decision makers. When insights come from the system behavior rather than its structure, we need simulation of causal maps and cognitive maps. In this paper, a method for directly converting causal maps and cognitive maps into stock-flow diagrams that can be simulated in computers in proposed. This method is called as NUMBER. NUMBER is an abbreviation for 'Normal Unit Modeling By Elementary Relationship'. In this paper, NUMBER is applied to a cognitive map of policy maker to show its usefulness.

The study is classifies the figures of obese women aged 20-50 with an over 25 BMI from the data of the fifth Size Korea in 2005. As the result of conducting the factor analysis for segmenting the shape, Factor 1, Factor 2, Factor 3, and Factor 4 are respectively derived as the factor on a volume, the factor on the size of the vertical direction, the factor on the shoulder region, and the factor on the body length balance. As the result of conducting the cluster analysis using 4 factors (scores extracted from the analysis of factor analysis) the body type of obese women was classified into four types. The name of shape was specified by combining 'P' (an abbreviation of petite) that indicated the height (smaller than 155cm) among the height names of KS standard, 'R' (abbreviation of regular) that indicated the height (155cm-165cm) and the body characteristics. Type 1 had the longest length, and normal circumference, thickness, and width but with the developed shoulder. Type 1 was classified as a robust, 'Plus-RH'. Type 2 had the middle height, the shortest length of the upper part, a relatively-long length of the lower part of body. Type 2 shows the characteristics of a small body that was classified as 'Plus-PI'. The most obese body was Type 3 that had the normal length and shoulder size but showed the longest length of the upper part of the body; it was classified as 'Plus-PO'. Type 4 as the small shape had a potbelly and showed the characteristics of the shortest body classified as 'Plus-Pb'.

The purpose of this study is to investigate adult learners' experience by studying Humanities & General Education and get to know types and characteristics by classifying their learning experiences. This study uses grounded theory method which is suitable to investigate subjective experiences. In this study, data is collected from 13 adult learners by using Focus Group Interview(FGI) who participate in learning experience of Humanities & General Education of D university in Busan region. The data is categorized by open coding, axial coding and selective coding based on data analysis method of grounded theory and analysis processes. This study provides several outcomes as follows: 113 concepts, 38 subcategories and 16 upper categories are derived through the process of abbreviation and categorization of learning experience of Humanities & General Education. In a process of learning experience, this study shows interrelationship in a frame of paradigm and derives results of a process of abbreviation and categorization casual condition, contextual condition, phenomenon and interaction(help/obstruction factor). Tree types of learning experiences and characteristics are drawn as follows: 1) "Self-realization" is the type who participate in Humanities & General Education with desire of learning and they want to find identity and plan detailed future. 2) "The pursuit of happiness" has less desire on learning than "self-realization" and they are types who participate in Humanities & General Education because of someone else's help and suggestion. 3) "Local community" is the type who participate in Humanities & General Education because they feel necessity of social role and they expect local development based on their interest in local community. Several conclusions and suggestions are provided for further studies.

Effects of Taeumjowetang on Lipid Peroxidation by Free Radicals and Oxidative Damage of Hepatocytes by tert-Butyl Hydroperoxide. 1. Purpose The present study was carried out to evaluate the antioxidant effects of Taeumjowetang in vitro. 2. Methods In this study, antioxidant effects of TJT on lipid peroxidation were determined according to the method of TBA. (Abbreviation) TJT : Taeumjowetang, TBA : 2-thiobarbituric acid. 3. Results : 1) TJT inhibited markedly peroxidation of linoleic acid during the autoxidation. 2) TJT inhibited lipid peroxidation induced by hydroxyl radical derived from H2O2-Fe2+ in rat liver homogenate. 3) TJT showed 66% scavenging effect on DPPH radical. 4) TJT exhibited a 25% inhibitory effect on superoxide generation from xanthine-xan thine oxidase system. 5) To investigate the antioxidative effects of TJT on the hepatocytes, cultured normal rat liver cells(Ac2F) were prepared and incubated with or without TJT. After 16~18hr, cells placed in DMEM medium without serum, and then incubated with 1mM t-BHP for 2hr. Viable cells were detected by MTT assay. In this test, TJT protected the cell death induced by t-BHP and significantly increased cell viability in the normal rat liver cell. In this study, a Korean abbreviation scale to measure love and compassion toward other person was developed based on a critical review on Compassionate Love Scale(CLS; Sprecher, & Fehr, 2005). In the study 1, 12 items were selected from the original version of 21 item CLS by surveying a sample of 207 college students on the basis of several psychometric characteristics (i.e., discriminability, coefficient of factor loading, and contribution to internal consistency). In the study 2, the validity of 12 item version, ACLS (Ajou Compassionate Love Scale), was confirmed by examining the factor structure, reliability, and correlations with other related scales. The results clearly showed that ACLS not only had a sufficient psychometric properties as the CLS, but also superior to the CLS in terms of parsimoniousness. Limitations and implications for future research of ACLS were discussed.

This paper presents a new formulation to simplify the three resulting constraint equations of the direct kinematics of the 3-6 (Stewart-Gough) Platform. The conventional direct kinematics of the 3-6 Platform has been formulated through complicated steps with trigonometric functions in three angle variables and thus results in the computational burden. In order to reduce the formulation complexity, we replace an angle variable into a length one and express three connecting joints on the moving platform in the same frame. The proposed formulation yields considerable abbreviation of the number of the calculation terms involved in the direct kinematics. It is verified through a series of simulation results.

In this paper, a new optimization method which is a kind of random searching is presented. The proposed method is called RasVal which is an abbreviation of Random Search Method with Variable Seaxch Length and it can search for a global minimum based on the probability density functions of searching, which can be modified using informations on success or failure of the past searching in order to execute intensified and diversified searching. By applying the proposed method to a nonlinear crane control system which can be controlled by the Universal Learning Network with radial basis function(R.B.P.), it has been proved that RasVal is superior in performance to the commonly used back propagation learning algorithm.

특정 신문은 해당 도메인의 언어자원을 구축하는데 필요한 자원이며, 한글과 영어의 괄호를 통해 표현되는 대역어구는 다국어 정보로 언어자원 구축에 이용된다. 그러나, 실제로 신문에서 사용되는 한영대역어의 구성은 한글대역어와 영어약어로 구성된 비율이 80%이상을 보인다. 신문을 대상으로 대역어사전 등을 구축하기 위해서는, 영어양어의 완전한 형태인 영어비약어 정보가 필요하다. 본 논문은 영어비약어 정보를 획득하기 웹검색을 통해 영어비약어를 획득하고, 영어약어를 이용해 영어약어와 영어비약어의 관계를 이용하는 방법을 제안한다.

GPS is the global Navigation Satellite System which is developed by the United States Department of Defense as an abbreviation of the Global Positioning System. The GPS uses a constellation of 24 Medium Earth Orbit satellites that transmit precise microwave signals, that enable GPS receivers to determine their location, speed, direction, and time. Following, the shooting down of Korean Air Lines Flight 007 in 1983. President Ronald Reagan issued a directive making the system available free for civilian use as a common good. Since then, GPS has become a widely used aid to navigation worldwide, and a useful tool for map-making, land surveying, commerce, scientific uses, and hobbies such as geocaching. GPS also provides a precise time reference used in many applications including scientific study of earthquakes, and synchronization of telecommunications networks.
