  • Nowadays, the majority of the manufacturing plant equipment tend to be transformed with automation system than traditional manual equipment. Production manager to make the process decision-making, not accustomed to manage and take advantage of professional decision-making technique. So rather than using the system proposed, it is common to undergo sporadic measures through the external intermediary. In this paper, whether possible delivery to match the delivery through the issue and decision-making system of the data input to be generated in the manufacturing process, review the supply information of the material used in the process, a plurality of input / output device We have proposed an input module that utilizes the Android Application and ATmega2560. As a result, easily cope with the improvement and change of process information of the work efficiency of the production business of the manufacturing process, and reduced plant data missing tasks, and management improvement to the improvement of the delivery compliance and product satisfaction by improving productivity we try to contribute to.

  • Arduino is a microcontroller platform for non-IT major students, and is widely used as a learning tool. Several AVR series microcontrollers are used in Arduino boards, but ATmega128 is not used. ATmega128 is widely used because of its high expandability and competitive price compared to ATmega328 and ATmega2560 used in Arduino boards. Therefore, by allowing ATmega128 to be used in an Arduino environment, the usability of existing hardware and the Arduino platform can be improved. In this paper, proposed are an Arduino-compatible board design based on ATmega128 and ways to use the ATmega128-based board. As the strengthes of the Arduino platform can be used while utilizing existing hardware in the proposed extension, it is expected that the proposed one can be used in various microcontroller-related education and enhance the learning efficiency.

  • In this study, Real-Time Operating System(RTOS) and 3-D collision avoidance algorithm are implemented to three different Miciro Controller Unit(MCU)s and their performances compared. We selected Microchip Technology's ATmega2560, STM's ARM Cortex-M3 and ARM Cortex-M4, because they are widely used. FreeRTOS, an open-source operating system, was also used. The 3D collision avoidance algorithm consists of the vertical and the horizontal avoidance algorithm, which is implemented using C++. The performances of the MCUs were compared with respect to used memory and calculation time. As a result, Cortex-M4's calculation time was the fastest and ATmega2560 used least memory.

  • In this paper, we implemented total monitoring system in which LED light turned on only when user detected and LED light turned out only when user disappeared. This system is composed of two modules, one is HW board based on Micro Controller and the other is SW control system based on Web server. Micro controller board is based on ATMega2560 chip which is connected with Infra Red and Ultra sonic sensors. Web based monitoring system was designed can be used in smart device. The validity of this monitoring system was proved by integration test of two modules.

  • In this paper, a new robot system is designed and manufactured to improve the educational robot. The main processor is realized using the ARM Cortex-M3 and the co-processor is implemented by AVR ATMega2560 to deal with data coming from sensor modules. The processor of sensor modules was developed by the AVR ATMega8. The communication system is composed with IIC communication to alleviate the load of main processor. We have developed the educational robot system adopting the hub module for extension characteristics.

  • According to the development of the ubiquitous computing technic today, the sensor base system is becoming a big issue in IT fields. This study is to develop a smart weather watching system which allows us to carry out temperature measuring without regard to location and altitude using the sensor devices. this system is composed of the wireless receiver module(PC base) and the wireless measuring module(ATmega2560 base).

  • CDMA tele-Controller system is designed with a low power consumption 8 bit microcontroller, ATmega 2560. ATmega 2560 microcontroller consists of 4 UART (Universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter) ports, 4 kbytes EEPROM, 256 kbytes flash memory, 4 kbytes SRAM. 4 URAT is used for CDMA modem, communication for GPS module, EEPROM is used for saving a configuration for program running, a flash memory of 256 kbytes is used for storing a F/W(Firm Ware), and SRAM is used for stack, storing memory of global variables while program running. We have tested the communication distance between the coast station and sea by the fabricated control board using 800 MHz CDMA modem and GPS module, which is building for the navigational aid management system by remote control. As a results, the receiving signal strength is above -80 dBm, and then the characteristics of the control board implemented more than 10 km in the distance of the communication.

  • In the splay manufacturing process, conveyor systems are widely used for conveying panels. In this conveyor, a large number of grounding lines are used in order to prevent a product failure due to static electricity. In many cases, the grounding line is disconnected due to the rotation of the transporting roller or curling, leading to product failure. In order to solve such a problem, there is a growing need for a system capable of detecting disconnection of a ground wire in real time. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a disconnection monitoring system of ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) ground wire caused by friction between the conveyor drive part and the panel. The proposed system is a monitoring system that can detect disconnection and disconnection of ground wire using ATmega 2560 and Wheatstone Bridge circuit. It can detect disconnection of ground wire immediately and can take measures to reduce the defect rate due to static electricity. The system proposed in this paper is expected to be applicable to the production and test equipments of all industries where the ground wire is used.

  • The most industrial instruments for monitoring and control are occurring the extension problem and the external protocol compatibility. In this paper, we developed the boards for the industrial communication monitoring that are able to convert the protocol in various communication between devices and instruments. These are consisted the main board and several sub-board. They can have extension using the main board connection. The sub-board support the each communication method or data transfer. The main board was used the Atmega 2560 Microprocessor of AVR series, and the sub-boards are have the Atmega 256 or Atmega 128 in the AVR series. We have designed to connect the sub-board using placed the 4 RS485 serial slots in the main board. The sub-boards were developed to support the analog and digital I/O. These are able to have monitoring by CAN and Ethernet communication. The experimental results, we obtained good data transfer rate and conversion rate.

  • Recently, many industrial instruments face the problem of protocol compatibility with the external monitoring and control system. This paper is prepared in the main control board to support the industrial communication protocol conversion, control, and monitoring. The industrial communication gateway module is also designed to ensure that the protocol conversion of CAN bus and Ethernet. The main board processor is used the Atmega2560, and placed 4ea RS485 serial slots for sub-board. One of them is used for communication CAN bus and Ethernet. It provides analog and digital I / O through each of the slots is used for control and monitoring.
