The purpose of this research is to examine the effect EVE about culture & art education and social tendencies have on adult educatees eliminating controlled mechanisms. Quantitative research on those in their 40s and 50s was executed. The results show that there is a high correlation between GEVE and individualism, REVE and collectivism. GEVE has a higher influence on actualization of self-efficiency, FEVE on reignition of retained desires, REVE on substantialization of non-isolation, individualism on actualization of self-efficiency, and collectivism on substantialization of non-isolation. This research evokes the importance of an interdisciplinary and integrated understanding of EVE in culture & art education, educatees' social tendencies, and their psychological mechanisms. Also, it suggests the necessity of following research and practical adaptation related to developing programs, securing quantitative and qualitative appropriateness reflecting social requirements, and operation, evaluation, and management considering reciprocality.
This study explored types of failure encountered by elementary school students during the engineering design process and how they coped with them. To achieve this goal, we developed and taught engineering design lessons on water shortages to four fourth-grade classes, observing and interviewing seven focus groups. Our analysis revealed that student failures can be categorized into two main types: those caused by cognitive factors and those influenced by environmental factors. While cognitive failures are typically within students' control, environmental factors are beyond their reach. Our findings also showed that students tended to avoid discussing the root causes of failure and instead relied on ad hoc solutions. Additionally, some students lowered their expectations for success to avoid failure. Based on our findings, we offer practical recommendations for educators to help students learn from their failures in a constructive manner.
Ninety six intact male sheep (12 months old with mean live weight of about 35 kg) were used to assess the effects of restricted feeding on intake, digestion, nitrogen balance and metabolizable energy (ME). The animals were selected from two known Iranian small and large body size breeds: 48 Sangsari (S) and 48 Afshari (A), and were divided into two equal groups: restricted (R) and a control (C). Each group had 48 sheep (24 each breed). The experiment had a duration of 15 and 75 days adaptation and treatment periods, respectively. The animals were individually placed in metabolism cages and fed a diet based on pelleted concentrate mixture consisting of alfalfa, barley grain, cottonseed meal and barley straw. The animals in group C were fed ad libitum, while animals in group R were fed at maintenance level and maintained a relatively constant live weight. During the experiment, the average daily weight gain (ADG) of S and A animals in R group was 0.34 and -0.25 g/d (0.02 and -0.02 $g/kg^{0.75}/d$), respectively. While that of S and A animals in C group was 174.4 and 194.4 g/d (10.16 and 11.48 $g/kg^{0.75}/d$), respectively. Nitrogen (N) was determined by both measured and regression methods. Animals of R group stayed at about zero N balance (0.01 and -0.00 g $N/kg^{0.75}/d$ for S and A animals, respectively). The N retention of animals of both S and A breeds in C group were similar (0.45 and 0.46 g $N/kg^{0.75}/d$, respectively). Digestible organic matter intake (DOMI) and ME requirement for maintenance (MEm) were measured by both constant weight technique and regression method by regressing N balance on DOMI and ME intake on ADG. The measured DOMI during constant weight was 24.61 and 24.27 g $DOMI/kg^{0.75}/d$ and the calculated DOMI from regression equation was 24.24 and 24.22 g $DOMI/kg^{0.75}/d$, for S and A animals, respectively. The measured MEm was 402 and 401 kJ $ME/kg^{0.75}/d$ and the calculated MEm from regression analysis was 398 and 400 kJ $ME/kg^{0.75}/d$ for S and A breeds, respectively. There were no significant differences between both measured and regression techniques. There was no significant difference between S and A breeds for DOMI, N retention, MEm, digestibility and metabolizability values. Digestibility values for OM, GE and CP and metabolizability were significantly (p<0.05) higher in restricted feeding sheep compared with that of sheep fed ad libitum.

We are propose the position of the node context-awareness information and the validity of the head node in the path according to the clustering how to elect one of the energy efficiency ECOPS (Energy Conserving Optimal path Schedule) algorithm. Existing LEACH algorithm to elect the head node when the node's energy probability distribution function based on the management of the head node is optional cycle. However, in this case, the distance of the relay node status information including context-awareness parameters does not reflect. These factors are not suitable for the relay node or nodes are included in the probability distribution, if the head node selects occurs. In particular, to solve the problems from the LEACH-based hierarchical clustering algorithms, this study defines location with the status context information and the residual energy factor in choosing topology of the structure adjacent nodes. ECOPS algorithm that contextual information is contributed for head node selection in topology protocols. The proposed ECOPS algorithm has the head node replacement situations from the candidate head node in the optimal path and efficient energy conservation that is the path of the member nodes. The new head node election show as the entire node lifetime and network management technique improving the network lifetime and efficient management the simulation results.
To investigate geomorphic development of alluvial plains and climatic environment change during the late Holocene carbon dating, soil organic carbon analysis and humus analysis of sediments from alluvial plain of Hampyeongcheon basin were performed. The lowest peat layer was formed under warm and humid climates, which is considered to correspond to the Atlantic period in the Holocene. Yellowish brown sandy clay layer was deposited in the natural levee, which we think were deposited in the generally warm and dry climates. The carbon dating age is 1,879-1,532 BC, and this period correspond to the Sub-boreal period in the Holocene. Light brown clay layer is assumed to have been deposited in transitional environment from the natural levee to the back marsh. The climatic environment was warm and humid, which is considered as transitional period from the Sub-boreal to the Sub-Atlantic in the Holocene. Light yellowish brown and light brown clay layer of the upper part are regarded as sediments of the back marsh. Light yellowish brown clay layer was deposited in the cold and dry climates, which is considered to correspond to the Sub-Atlantic period in the Holocene. Light brown clay layer was deposited in the warm and dry climates. The carbon dating age is 211-427 AD, this period corresponds to the Post Roman Warm Period in the Holocene.

In this paper, we suggest an advance method for maintaining a perceived behavior as triangle formation and preventing collision between each other in case of a flying drone. In the existing studies, the collision of the drone is only controlled by using light entered in the camera or the image processing. However, when there is no light, it is difficult to confirm the position of each other and they can collide because this system can not confirm the each other's position. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the system to solve the problems by using the distance and the relative coordinates of the three drones that were determined using the ALPS(Ad hoc network Localized Positioning System) algorithm. This system can be a new algorithm that will prevent collisions between each other during flying the drone object. The proposed algorithm is that we make drones maintaining a determined constant value of the distance between coordinates of each drone and the measured center of the drone of triangle formation. Therefore, if the form of fixed formation is disturbed, they reset the position of the drone so as to keep the distance between each drone and the center coordinates constant. As a result of the simulation, if we use the system where the supposed algorithm is applied, we can expect that it is possible to prevent malfunction or an accident due to collisions by preventing collisions of drones in advanced behavior system.
Background and Aim: B7-H1, a co-inhibitory molecule of the B7 family, is found aberrantly expressed in ovarian cancer cells and infiltrating macrophage/dendritic-like cells, and plays a critical role in immune evasion by ovarian cancer. IL-12, an inducer of Th1 cell development, exerts immunomodulatory effects on ovarian cancer. However, whether IL-12 regulates B7-H1 expression in human ovarian cancer associated-macrophages has not been clarified. Therefore, we investigated the effects of IL-12 on the expression of B7-H1 in ovarian cancer-associated macrophages and possible mechanisms. Methods: PMA induced THP-1-derived macrophages or human monocyte-derived macrophages were treated with recombinant IL-12 (rIL-12) or infected with adenovirus carrying human IL-12 gene (Ad-IL-12-GFP) for 24 h, then cocultured with the SKOV3 ovarian cancer cell line for another 24 h. Macrophages were collected for real-time PCR and Western blot to detect the expression of B7-H1, and activation of the NF-${\kappa}B$ signaling pathway. Moreover, supernatants were collected to assay for IL-12, IFN-${\gamma}$ and IL-10 by ELISA. In addition, monocyte-derived macrophages treated with IFN-${\gamma}$ were cocultured with SKOV3 and determined for the expression of B7-H1. Furthermore, the expression of B7-H1 in monocyte-derived macrophages was also evaluated after blocking NF-${\kappa}B$ signaling. Results: The expression of B7-H1 was significantly upregulated in monocyte-derived macrophages treated with rIL-12 or Ad-IL-12-GFP compared with the control groups (p<0.05), accompanied by a remarkable upregulation of IFN-${\gamma}$ (p<0.05), a marked downregulation of IL-10 (p<0.05) and activation of NF-${\kappa}B$ signaling. However, the upregulation of B7-H1 was inhibited by blocking the NF-${\kappa}B$ signaling pathway (p<0.05). Expression of B7-H1 was also increased (p<0.05) in monocyte-derived macrophages treated with IFN-${\gamma}$ and cocultured with SKOV3. By contrast, the expression of B7-H1 in THP-1-derived macrophages was significantly decreased when treated in the same way as monocyte-derived macrophages (p<0.05), and IL-10 was also significantly decreased but IFN-${\gamma}$ was almost absent. Conclusions: IL-12 upregulates the expression of B7-H1 in monocyte-derived macrophages, which is possible though inducing the secretion of IFN-${\gamma}$ and further activating the NF-${\kappa}B$ signal pathway. However, IL-12 downregulates the expression of B7-H1 in THP-1-derived macrophages, associated with a lack of IFN-${\gamma}$ and inhibition of expression of IL-10.
The effects of a high-fat diet and fasting on resting energy expenditure and energy substrate utilization were examined using the method of measuring whole body energy metabolism and oxygen uptake. Eight 4-week old male Sprague-Dawley rats were used for the high-fat diet experiment. Energy metabolism was measured using acrylic metabolic chambers over 24 hours. After 1-week of preliminary feeding, 4 rats were fed a chow diet, whereas the remaining 4 rats were fed a high-fat diet (HF) ad libitum, which contained 40% (w/w, calorie base 60%) more fat than that in the chow diet. The flow rate to measure energy metabolism inside the chamber was controlled at a mean of 3.5 L/min, and five chambers were subjected to measurement. One of the five chambers was used to correct errors by measuring the atmosphere. As a result of 5 weeks of control diet and high-fat diet feeding, body weight of the high-fat diet group tended to increase more than that in the control diet fed group, but the difference was not significant. Oxygen uptake and carbon dioxide production changed as time went on over the 24 hr. The respiratory exchange ratio also changed during the 24 hr, and the difference between the groups was significant. The control group showed significantly more carbohydrate oxidation than that of the high-fat diet fed group. A fasting experiment was conducted using six 7-week old Sprague-Dawley male rats. Energy metabolism measurements were performed using the same method as that used in the high-fat diet experiment; resting metabolism was measured prior to fasting, and a fasting condition began from 9:00 am the next day for 3 days to calculate energy metabolism. Both body weight and 24-hour oxygen uptake decreased significantly as a result of 3-day fasting. Total oxygen uptake in the first day decreased, and declined significantly on day 3 of fasting. Total 24-hour carbon dioxide production decreased significantly over the 3 days. The mean 24-hour respiratory exchange ratio decreased significantly. Additionally, energy expenditure during the dark period (20:00-08:00), which is the active period for rats, decreased significantly with fasting, whereas energy expenditure during the light period (08:00-20:00) did not increase by fasting.
This study classified consumer personality types of the junior market and examined their clothing behaviors. The subjects were composed of 283 male and 276 female high-school-age consumers. Data were collected through questionnaires. Personality types were classified by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Data were analysed with the frequency, $X^2$, factor analysis, Cronbach's $\alpha$, ANOVA and Duncan tests using Windows SPSS 12. There was a significant difference (P<0.001) between fashion involvement and the 8 classified personality types. In fashion involvement, the extroverted feeling type was significantly higher than the other types. In brand image orientation, the extroverted thinking type was significantly higher than the other types (P<0.05). In fashion ad-orientation, the extroverted feeing type was also significantly higher than the other types. In active or passive complaining behaviors, there was no difference. In the selection criterion for clothes of color and design and style, the extroverted feeling type was also significantly higher than the other groups (P<0.05).
The purpose of this study was to compare the differences of attitude to death and perception on HPC between nursing and medical students. The data was collected by questionnaires and the period of data collection was from September 17 to October 12, 2012. The results were as followings. The findings of the study provides the basis for expanding practice and education to hospice-palliative care for nursing and medical students.
