  • In this paper we designed CAMC-SP, the microprocessor embedded 2-axis motor control chip which controls a precise pulse motor by generating the pulse needed to control step motor, DC servo and AC servo motor. This design enables to decrease costs and to minimize a size. First we designed risc type 8-bit microprocessor compatible with PIC16C84, second we designed pulse motor controller. CAMC-SP is integrated of those two block. We designed CAMC-SP by VHDL and we testified to the Performance of it by performing functional simulation.

  • PID controller is popular but have defect inversing following reference input and noise elimination. Therefor, this paper focus on reducing rise time and robustness against noise. The result that is simulated with feedforward method and sliding mode show that rise time decrease and robustness increase.

  • A simple hybrid circuit to control the two-phase AC motor of the nut-runners which employ the tightening torque control system is described in this paper. The circuit has emphasis on the low-cost implementation. The circuit constitutes of the V/F converter using a timer IC, the pulse width modulator using the fastening torque signal and the two-phase logic sequencer.

  • In this paper, we presents sliding surface design techniques using the virtual state. This sliding surface has same dynamic of nominal system and permit application with other controller. If select initial value of the virtual state properly, problem of reaching phase disappears. And applied in AC servo motor's speed control to show performance of proposed sliding mode control techniques.

  • The detection of tool wear is very important in an automated manufacturing system. This paper presents a tool condition monitoring system based on the wavelet transform analysis of the AC servo motor current in a milling process. The current measurement is relatively simple and does not affect machining operations. The discrete wavelet transform was used to decompose the current of a spindle AC servo motor in the time and frequency domain. The feature vectors were extracted from the decomposed signals and compared to clarity normal and wear conditions. The results show the feasibility of the wavelet transform analysis for the tool condition monitoring.

  • The configuration of Brushless DC moter is similar to the permanent magnet Synchronous moter. Power transistors are oftenly used to supply the switching by feedback signals of rotor positioning sensors. Brushless DC moter have been used in Aerospace and Robotics where the electromagnetic noise or the sparking of the commutator contact can not be tolerated and long - lived maintenance - free operation is required. This paper describes the design of the microprocessor - based controller for the Brushless DC moter. The controller is designed to operate for the constant torque generation and variable speed control using sinusoidal PWM inverters and resolvers as rotor positioning sensors.

  • Generally, the required control functions for the industrial auto trimming sewing machines are the sewing speed control with pedal input, the up/down stopping-position control of the needle, the automatic sewing according to the memorized sewing pattern including the number of stitches, and etc. We developed a new type of AC servo motor controller, which suffices for all the above functions. The developped controller is working well, and the performances are very good for the practical use.

  • In this paper, an adaptive control scheme is applied to the speed control system of a synchronous AC servo motor. The adaptive control system using Ioannou's modified adaptation law is shown to be robustly stable in the presence of current control error and load torque disturbance. The computer simulation demonstrates the rapid compensation of rotor speed deviation due to load torque disturbance.

A Study on the design of separation force measuring system for improvement of semiconductor productivity

  • In this paper, the separation force measuring system is developed. The separation force aries due to adhesive strength between semiconductor epoxy molding compound(EMC) and the metal plate in semiconductor formed plate. In general, when removing the metal plate in semiconductor formed plate from semiconductor epoxy molding compound, excessive strength can result in a increase in semiconductor defect rates, or conversely, if too little force is exerted on the metal plate in semiconductor formed plate, the semiconductor production rates can decrease. In this study, the design criteria for the selection of the AC servo motor, the role of the ball screw, the relationship between the load cell and the ball screw, and the rate of deceleration are given. In addition, minimizing the reject rate of semiconductors and maximizing the semiconductor production rate are achieved through the standardization of the collected separation force data measured by the proposed system.

  • A conventional PID controller does not provide a proper response in face of various kinds of load variation. In this paper, Fuzzy-PID Control scheme are proposed in order to improve the performance of the PID Controller. The proposed control schemes are applied to the speed controller of AC servo motor systems. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is shown by implementation and the advantage of each control scheme is discussed.
