  • Given a function on a scheme over a finite field, we can count the number of rational points of the scheme having the same values. We show that if the function, viewed as a morphism to the affine line, is proper and its higher direct image sheaves are tamely ramified at the infinity then the values are uniformly distributed up to some degree.

  • This paper proposes a nonlinear adaptive equalizer which is based on fuzzy rules and fuzzy inference of several affine mapping for the received channel data. The proposed nolonlinear adaptive equalizers with the significantly lower computational complexity. Also it can be applied to the on-line adaptation environments owing to its fast convergence characteristics and the lower computational load. When using the decision feedback vectors, this equaalizer can be easily realized in the form of the DFE structure with out the requirement for the perfect channel knowledge as in the case of the fuzzy adaptive filter.

  • In this paper, we establish the curvature estimates for a class of curvature equations with general right hand sides depending on the gradient. We show an existence result by using the continuity method based on a priori estimates. We also derive interior curvature bounds for solutions of a class of curvature equations subject to affine Dirichlet data.

  • In this paper, we Propose a new computational approach to stability analysis of the linguistic control system. The FLC is assumed to be modeled as a combination of affine system. Stability is tested via the LMI. Computer simulation result is given to illustrate the validity of the suggested methodology.

  • A totally umbilic submanifold of a pseudo-Riemanian manifold is a submanifold whose first fundamental form and second fundamental form are proportiona. An ordinary hypersphere $S^n(r)$ of an affine (n + 1)-space of the Euclidean space $E^m$ is the best known example of totally umbilic submanifolds of $E^m$.

  • We prove, under some general assumptions, that a generator of any uniformly bounded Nemytskij operator, mapping a subset of space of functions of bounded variation in the sense of Wiener-Young into another space of this type, must be an affine function with respect to the second variable.

  • In this paper we give an introduction to the theory of universal central extensions of perfect Lie algebras. In particular, we will provide a model for the universal coverings of Lie tori and we show that automorphisms and derivations lift to the universal coverings. We also prove that the universal covering of a Lie ${\Lambda}$-torus of type ${\Delta}$ is again a Lie ${\Lambda}$-torus of type ${\Delta}$.

  • The purpose of this paper is to compare the radicals of a left symmetric algebra considered in 〔1〕 when the associated Lie algebra is nilpotent. In this case, we show that all the radicals considered there are equal. We also consider some other radicals and show they are also equal.

  • In this paper, we propose a dynamic-based compression system by creating mosaic background and transmitting the change information. A dynamic mosaic of the background is progressively integrated in a single image using the camera motion information. For the camera motion estimation, we calculate affine motion parameters for each frame sequentially with respect to its previous frame. The camera motion is robustly estimated on the background by discriminating between background and foreground regions. The modified block-based motion estimation is used to separate the back-ground region.

  • In this paper, we study the developing maps of the Lie groups with left-invariant affinely flat structures. We make some bacis observations on the nature of the developing images and show that the developing map for an incomplete affine structure splits as a product of a covering map of codimension 1 and a diffeomorphism of dimension 1.
