  • The purpose of this study was to explore the differences in stress, perfectionism, optimism and academic achievement between the scientifically gifted middle school students and general students and the relationships between stress, perfectionism, optimism and academic achievement in these two groups. 154 scientifically gifted middle school students and 145 general students from C middle school in Inchon were participated in this study as subjects. The result of this study were as fellow; In case of the gifted group, perfectionism were higher than the comparative group. However, the stress of the comparative group was higher than the gifted group. The gifted groups felt less stresses than the comparative group. In case of the gifted group, optimism were higher than the comparative group. However, It is independent in the co-relationships stress, perfectionism, optimism and academic. achievement of the scientifically gifted and general students.

The influence of the Chinese costume terminologies was fond in the terminologies of the fabrics and the precious stones of the Mongolians. Also, the influence of the Indian costume terminologies were shown in the Mongolian costume terminologies. A characteristic feature in the Mogolian costume terminologies of the fabrics and the precious stones showed the elements of the foreign terminologies. This factor amy be due to the fact that originally the Mongolians ere the nomades.

  • Recently, ASP business models based on Web services are attracting considerable attention and regarded as the next generation of the ASP business models. It is, however, undesirable for ASP users to adopt them simply because the Web services are the new trend in the IT world. Instead, an in-depth comparison of the benefits against the costs between the Web services based ASP business models and the traditional models are required. Furthermore, it is desirable that this comparative analysis should be applied from the ASP users' viewpoints rather than those of the government or ASP providers. So, we have applied a comparative ROI (Return on Investment) analysis from the ASP users' perspective and shown that the Web services based ASP business models (382%) are superior to the traditional models (280%) in terms of ROI. We have also employed Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework to keep the balance between tangible and intangible benefits considering the characteristics of IT value measurement.

  • The selection of comparative standard parcels should be objective and reasonable, which is an important task in the individual land price appraisal procedure. However, the current procedure is mainly done manually by government officials. Therefore, the efficiency and objectiveness of this selection procedure is not guaranteed and questionable. In this study, we first defined the problem by analyzing the current comparative standard land parcel selection method. In addition, we devised a decision tree-based method using a machine learning algorithm that is considered to be efficient and objective compared to the current selection procedure. Finally the proposed method is then applied to the study area for evaluating the appropriateness and accuracy.

  • For evaluating equations of bursting force in different codes, comparative study of the formulas was conducted. Because the equations does not consider variables such as shape of anchorages, angle of tendons, and eccentricity, a relation between the bursting forces and the variables has to be analyzed. In this paper, therefore, a comparative analysis of bursting forces computed by equations in the codes and finite element analysis was performed. As a result, it could be figured out that bursting force equations in the local zone were determined by coefficient k.

  • Purpose of this paper is find the similarity and dissimilarity of Korean, Chinese and Japanese traditional furnitures for storage. Also this paper tries to have a comparative analysis on life style, characteristics of housing space and furniture's form of three countries. The study can be summarized as follows. First, space scale and seat levels of three countries are related to furniture's height and form, so that Chinese furniture have over scale than human, and Japanese furniture have the type of box for stacking. Second, the way of heating and materials of floors are concerned with the type of furniture's legs. Third, even if these dissimilarities, the aesthetic characteristics of three countries furniture would be a data base for making design identity of East Asian modern housing furniture.

  • Citrus farming become one of highly potent area for the farmer s income in the Asia region. Because of its favorable taste and distinctive aroma, attractive color, and nutritional values, market demand has increased steadily along with the income increases in the region. However, realization of the potent have been constrained due to poor orchard management, frequent occurrences of pest and diseases, and a high cost in production besides of the market failures. Cutting down of production cost should be an operational goal to obtain mope profit where marketing structure has yet been underdeveloped. The objective of this study was to provide a comparative information to those program efforts of searching comparative advantage in production. For the three countries, reduction of labor cost by reduction of chemical application frequency was recommended while pursuing further mechanization in those operation such as in pruning, harvesting and pest control. Adoption of the IPM (integrated pest management) will be useful to reduce the number of spraying chemicals with changed knowledge and attitude of the farmers.

  • This is a comparative study on environmental education curricula in the forest sciences of korean and german universities. The purpose of this study is to identify the developmental process, structure and content of environmental education(EE) explained by the forest sciences curricula from the two countries and to offer a simultaneous comparison, focusing on the four social variables and seven criteria of comparability in environmental education curricula. For the purpose of this study, the cross-disciplinary approach of George Z. F Bereday was employed. Environmental education curricula of two countries was analysed in the social context through the four phases of comparative procedure; the description, interpretation, juxtaposition and comparison. EE has been taught in the forest sciences of Korea and Germany since the middle 1990s. In forest sciences of two countries, EE was developed in relation to social needs and considered as a form of forest policy. Both korean and german forest sciences curricula include EE for the students to understand the theories and practices of EE as the application of the forest science. In process of EE, the students of two countries develop EE programs. German curricula have more seminars and practices than korean curricula. And various experts participate in education programs. The forest sciences of Korea focus on Environmental Interpretation which raises the quality of visitors' experiences in forest recreation. Contacting with nature(lived experiences) is a important factor in Korean EE. On the other hand, the forest sciences of Germany focus on forest education as a form of public relations and also as a form of EE. In Germany, there are various approaches to forest education; philosophy, ethics, psychology, natural science, forest policy, forest history, education and so on. Forest education includes the multiple levels.

The experimental group was composed of 301 students Y Elementary school and the comparative group was composed of 231 students G Elementary school. Before carrying out the study, both groups took the preliminary examination about their creative personality. After three months, the experiment group and the comparison group took the post examination to compare and analyze the results. The results of this study were as follows: It was observed that the management of Creativity Personality Model School would have meaningful effects to improve the creative personality of students. A important factor was that operated a variety program of creative personality, such as 'Rainbow School' and 'Rainbow Experiential learning'. Through this study, it seemed to conclude that the management of Creativity Personality Model School was more effective on improving students' creative personality.
