8200대 신형 전기기관차 HEP 장치 고조파 왜율 측정 (The THD measurement of HEP equipment power installed on 8200 series Electric locomotive)

  • 2001년 KORAIL에 도입된 8100대 신형 전기기관차는 독일 SIEMENS사의 BR152 모델을 국내 설정에 맞도록 들어와 부분 수정 및 보완 통하여, 2003년 8200대 신형 전기기관차를 탄생하도록 한 PROTOTYPE 이다. 8100대 신형전기기관차와 8200대 신형 전기기관차는 유사하지만, 일부 수정되고 개선된 부분 중의 하나가 객차 전원 공급(이하'HEP) 장치이다. 이에 본 논문은 8200대 신형 전기기관차의 HEP 장치에서 무궁화호 객차로 공급되는 HEP 전원의 고조파 왜율에 대하여 원제작사의 조합시험 결과를 바탕으로 현재 운용중인 KORAIL 8200대 신형 전기기관차의 HEP 전원의 고조파 왜율을 실측하여 상호 비교하고, 전원 공급 장치의 고조파 왜율에 대한 국제규격 및 현황을 설명하고자 한다.

  • Parts and units of 8200 series electric locomotive are aging, but and source technology is not secured. As a results, maintenance costs are increasing steadily due to using expensive substitute parts. Therefore, various studies have been conducted to reduce maintenance costs. In this paper, the life cycle cost(LCC) of the developed and conventional products were compared and analyzed about main conversion system in 8200 Series electric locomotive. As a result of analysis, the material cost was the highest in the conventional product among the various item costs. On the other hand, it is confirmed that preventive cost was the highest among the costs about the developed product.

  • 8200 Series Electric Locomotives are mostly imported from overseas due to aging and uncertainty of source technology, and it's the maintenance cost is increasing. We are analyzed life cycle costs based on international standards such as IEC 60300-3-3 and IEC62278. The main conversion system of the 8200 series electric locomotive is closely related to vehicle operation and is one of the subsystems requiring frequent maintenance. In this paper, the life cycle cost of the main conversion unit in 8200 series electric locomotive is analyzed based on the maintenance manual. As a result of analysis, maintenance cost of GTO module and control device is relatively high, and it is confirmed that the cost increases according to the useful life.

  • 현재 운용되고 있는 전기기관차(8200호대) 전장품의 부분적 국산화를 위해서는 전기기관차내의 장치간 MVB 통신프로토콜에 대한 분석이 우선 진행되어야 한다. 그 중에서도 신규 개발된 보조전원장치가 적용되었을 때 우려되는 사항인 고장발생 시 동작에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 분석된 통신프로토콜을 적용한 신규 개발 통신제어장치를 통해 신규 보조전원장치를 기존 전기기관차에 적용하였을 때 정상동작 뿐만 아니라 고장발생 시 동작에도 문제없이 작동하도록 고장코드에 대한 MVB 통신프로토콜을 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, The strength and driving characteristics of it were investigated according to developing the traction motor for 8200 electric locomotive series. For this purpose, Flux density strength was analyzed and then structural strength was investigated such as a stator frame, design of the rotor shaft bearing according to the design process. In addition, the traction motor operating point was analyzed according to slip frequency variation at a power source frequency. As the results of analysis on torque-speed characteristic curve, we was confirmed that traction motor was controlled as torque control prior to motor speed 1610[rpm], power control between 1610[rpm] and 2500[rpm] and breakdown torque control more than motor speed 2500[rpm].

  • In this paper, the life cycle cost of the auxiliary power unit in the conventional 8200 series electric locomotive is evaluated and an effective life cycle cost reduction method is sought. For this, a life cycle cost evaluation model was proposed using IEC 60300-3-3 standard. As a result of analysis, material cost which accounted for a large percentage of preventive maintenance cost, accounted for 64% of total cost, and breakdown maintenance cost was as high as 27%. Except for the cost of preventive maintenance, the breakdown maintenance cost ratio was the highest. In order to reduce the LCC of the auxiliary power unit(APU) of the 8200 series in the future, it is necessary to reduce the material cost in case of development and to secure the high reliability according to the parts manufacturing so as to minimize the maintenance cost.

  • HEP(Head Electric Power) system, supplying 3-phase service power to the coach vehicles, is a kind of special auxiliary power equipment which is boarded on 8200 series electric locomotives in KORAIL. This equipment shares high voltage DC link with a main propulsion converter/inverter systems. It was difficult to use high frequency PWM technique so that GTO has been used as a power device same like the main power system. Due to low PWM frequency(300Hz) of HEP inverter, the output voltage has less power quality comparing to normal SIV(Static Inverter) system. In this paper, an optimal PWM strategy is presented for new IGBT type HEP inverter system. Several PWM techniques were investigated to improve output voltage quality under fixed lower filter inductance and not high PWM frequency. Finally PC simulations have been done to clarify its availability.

  • Electric vehicles that are currently in operation are being produced domestically. Therefore, there is no great difficulty in receiving or repairing the failed parts or in the overall repair. On the other hand, most of the electric locomotives are manufactured by introducing the parts and technology of foreign vehicle manufacturers. In this paper, conducted a study about life cycle cost analysis of developed auxiliary power unit in 8200 series electric locomotive and suggested cost down method. This confirms the economic benefits of the developed products of the auxiliary power supply compared to the existing products. In addition, a sensitivity analysis of MTBF was conducted to suggest a life cycle cost down method.

  • The APF (All Pass Filter) method that utilizes the computational power of the controller is most commonly used. However, since the calculation of the filter coefficient is complicated, the calculation is carried out in advance. It is difficult to apply it to the frequency fluctuation environment because the coefficient value is fixed. In this paper, a new control method of single phase PLL that can be usefully used in PWM converter device for electric railway was explained. Comparison and examination of similarities and differences between the conventional APF method PLL controller method and the newly proposed modified MA filter method PLL technique were performed. The possibility of implementation of the modified MA filter method through computer simulation was analyzed. In conclusion, the method proposed as the conclusion was applied to the APU(Auxiliary Power System) of 8200 Series Electric Locomotive and its usefulness was confirmed.

  • New locomotives 8100 & series 8200, based on the BR152 of German railway are suitable for heavy-duty freight traffic as well as for passenger transport. This electric locomotive had applied by trial petition way and 57 car is operating in mainline and industrial line until now. As matter of fact, this has a purpose to help designing and manufacturing the new electric locomotive in these day when almost all the line is changing into the electric fire line. This thesis has a purpose to check whether the actual simulation value properly apply and meet the designing value, comparing the result of the simulation for the performance of developed locomotive with the result of the type test which can be proceed in actual locomotive in korea (evaluating both the design value and the performance of the real locomotive).
