  • In many automatization applications, a rigid body is required to go forward and backward repeatedly through a set of given position/orientations precisely while a crank is rotated. Such a motion can be generated by 6 bar mechanism adding a dyad to a 4 bar mechanism. If this is the case for 3 position synthesis of the 4 bar mechanism, the feasible solution area for designing the 4 bar mechanism will be limited over the general solution area. This paper proposes a procedure to synthesize 4 bar mechanism to be used to generate the required motion. It is found that the only input crank of the 4 bar mechanism should be limited to satisfy the condition. And the feasible design area for the circle point/ center point of the input crank is identified so that design of the undesired mechanism could be avoided. The method is tested and the results are shown.

  • Recently many efforts on the development of automatic processing system for delivery sequence sorting have been performed in ETRI , which requires the use of postal 4-state bar code system to encode delivery points. The 4-state bar code called postal 4-state bar code for high speed processing that has been specifically designed for information processing of logistics and automatic processing of the mail items. This paper describes a method of Reed-Solomon encoding for creating error correction codeword of 4-state bar code.

Some Characterizations of Catenary Rotation Surfaces

  • We study the positive $C^1$ function z = f(x, y) defined on the plane ${\mathbb{R}}^2$. For a rectangular domain $[a,b]{\times}[c,d]{\subset}{\mathbb{R}}^2$, we consider the volume V and the surface area S of the graph of z = f(x, y) over the domain. We also denote by (${\bar{x}}_V,\;{\bar{y}}_V,\;{\bar{z}}_V$) and (${\bar{x}}_S,\;{\bar{y}}_S,\;{\bar{z}}_S$) the geometric centroid of the volume under the graph of z = f(x, y) and the centroid of the graph itself defined on the rectangular domain, respectively. In this paper, first we show that among nonconstant $C^2$ functions with isolated singularities, S = kV, $k{\in}{\mathbb{R}}$ characterizes the family of catenary rotation surfaces f(x, y) = k cosh(r/k), $r={\mid}(x,y){\mid}$. Next, we show that one of $({\bar{x}}_S,\;{\bar{y}}_S)=({\bar{x}}_V,\;{\bar{y}}_V)$, $({\bar{x}}_S,\;{\bar{z}}_S)=({\bar{x}}_V,\;2{\bar{z}}_V)$ and $({\bar{y}}_S,\;{\bar{z}}_S)=({\bar{y}}_V,\;2{\bar{z}}_V)$ characterizes the family of catenary rotation surfaces among nonconstant $C^2$ functions with isolated singularities.

  • Micro-robots using microprocessor are mainly classified as line-tracer, micro-mouse, and war-robot. This paper presents the development of the war-robot mechanism with vehicle-style using RC-servo motors and actuators using 4-bar linkage and infrared sensors. Especially the algorithm of conquering other war-robots is proposed based on the skill of belly-throw of Korean wrestling.

구중질환(口中疾患)의 침구치료(鍼灸治療)에 관한 고찰(考察) (A study of Literature Review on the acupuncture and moxibution treatments for stomatopathy)

  • Objectives : To study acupuncture and moxibution treatments for stomatopathy( aphthae, oral ulceration, mycolic stomatitis, halitosis, thirst, bitter) the ancient and the present literatures were reviewed. Methods : We've got compared and analyzed 55 kinds of literatures. Results and Conclusions : 1. The acupuncture meridians used frequently for stomatopathy were $Su-yangmy\bar{o}ng-Taejang-ky\bar{o}ng(LI),\;Chok-yangmy\bar{o}ng-Wi-Ky\bar{o}ng(S),\;Immaek-Ky\bar{o}ng(CV)$. 2. The acupoints used frequently for aphthae were $Sungjang(CV_{24}),\;Yomchon(CV_{23}),\;Hapkok(LI_4),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Hyopko(S_6),\;Sugu(GV_{26})$. 3. The acupoints used frequently for oral ulceration were $Hapkok(LI_4),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Kokchi(LI_{11}),\;Sotaek(SI_1),\;Pisu(B_{20}),\;Wisu(B_{21}),\;Samgan(LI_3),\;Yomchon(CV_{23}),\;Chichang(S_4)$. 4. The acupoints used frequently for mycolic stomatitis were $Hapkok(L_4),\;Chichang(S_4),\;Hyopko\;(LI_4),\;Sungjang(CV_{24}),\;Samumgyo(SP_6)$. 5. The acupoints used frequently for halitosis were $Naejong(S_{44}),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Chung-wan\;(CV_{12}),\;Sang-wan(CV_{13}),\;Hawan(CV_{10}),\;Kongson(SP_4),\;Wisu(B_{21}),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Sugu(GV_{26}),\;Sungjang(CV_{24})$. 6. The acupoints used frequently for thirst were $Sosang(L_{11}),\;Sangyang(LI_1),\;Sotaek(SI_1),\;Kwanch'ung(TE_1),\;Ch'\bar{o}kt'aek(L_5),\;T'ae-gye(K_3),\;Kokt'aek(P_3),\;Sugu(GV_{26}),\;Samgan(LI_3),\;Igan(LI_2),\;T'aech'ung(Liv_3),\;Sojangsu(B_{27})$. 7. The acupoints used frequently for bitter were $Yangn\bar{u}ngch'\bar{o}n(G_{34}),\;Hy\bar{o}njong(G_{39}),\;Kwanch'ung(TE_1),\;Tamsu(B_{19}),\;Chokkyu\bar{u}m(G_{44}),\;Y\bar{o}n-gok(K_2),\;Shinmun(H_7),\;Chok-Samni(S_{36})$.

Hetero-Epi막 성장용 사파이어 기판의 산에칭 (Acid Etching of Sapphire Substrate for Hetero-Epitaxial Growth)

  • 단결정 적층막을 제조하기 위해 사용되는 사파이어 기판에 대하여 황산과 인산의 혼합용액 화학적 에칭을 조사하였다. 여러가지 배향면의 사파이어에 대한 에칭정도는 황산과 인산의 3:1 조성과 $315{\pm}2^{\circ}C$에서 에칭시간에 의존하였다. 280~320$^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 30분간씩 산에칭시킨 후에 에칭속도(R)를 구하였고, log R에 대한 $1/T$ semilog plot로부터 활성화에너지$(E_a)$를 구하였으며, 그것은 $({\bar1}012) > (10{\bar1}0) > (11{\bar2}0) > (0001)$면 순서로 감소하였다. 한편 (0001), $({\bar1}012),\;(10{\bar1}0)$$(11{\bar2}0)$면의 표층 두께를 각각 64.6, 46.5, 16.2와 5.1 ${\mu}m$ 에칭시킨 후의 기판 표면을 SEM으로 관찰하였다.

  • Implant-supported overdenture is a reliable treatment option for the patients with edentulous mandible when they have difficulty in using complete dentures. Several options have been used for implant-supported overdenture attachments. Among these, bar attachment system has greater retention and better maintainability than others. SFI-Bar$^{(R)}$ is prefabricated and can be adjustable at chairside. Therefore, laboratory procedures such as soldering and welding are unnecessary, which leads to fewer errors and lower costs. A 67-year-old female patient presented, complaining of mobility of lower anterior teeth with old denture. She had been wearing complete denture in the maxilla and removable partial denture in the mandible with severe bone loss. After extracting the teeth, two implants were placed in front of mental foramen, and SFI-Bar$^{(R)}$ was connected. A tube bar was seated to two adapters through large ball joints and fixation screws, connecting each implant. The length of the tube bar was adjusted according to inter-implant distance. Then, a female part was attached to the bar beneath the new denture. This clinical report describes two-implant-supported overdenture using the SFI-Bar$^{(R)}$ system in a mandibular edentulous patient.

데오드라이트 시스템의 측정 정확도에 대한 연구(IV) - 시준거리 4m에서의 기준자 거리에 따른 측정 정도 (A Study on Measurement System Accuracy of Theodolite System(IV) - A Measurement System Accuracy depending on a Distance of Scale Bar on the Distance 4m between two Theodolites)

  • An accuracy of theodolite system may be affected by a measurement environment and a measurement distance change from theodolite to scale bar and/or targets. This study was performed for measuring an accuracy when the distance from thodolite system to scale bar was changed $2\~6m$ on the distance 4m between two theodolites. The results showed that an accuracy was ${\pm}0.025mm$ or better when the distance from theodolite system to targets was 3, 4 and 5m. According to the results, it was found that the best distance from theodolite system to scale bar was $3\~4m$ when the collimation distance was $3\~4m$.

  • "Su$\acute{s}$ruta-samhit$\bar{a}$(妙闻集)是印度传统医学最重要的经典著作之一, 与"Caraka-samhit$\bar{a}$(闺罗迦集)"以及成书于八世纪的"Astangahrdaya-samhita(八心集)"(内外科综合概要)并称'$\bar{A}$yurveda(阿输吠陀)'的"三位长老", 至今仍是当代印度'$\bar{A}$yurveda(阿输吠陀)' 正规教育所采用的主要教科书. Su$\acute{s}$ruta-samhit$\bar{a}$(妙闻集)"是卷一"总說"46章, 卷二"病因论"16章, 卷三"身体论"10章, 卷四"治疗论"40章, 卷五"毒物论"8章, 卷六"补遗"66章等总共186章构成的. 其作者为苏斯鲁塔($Su\'{s}ruta$), 故此书亦称" Su$\acute{s}$ruta-samhit$\bar{a}$(苏斯鲁塔本集)". "Su$\acute{s}$ruta-samhit$\bar{a}$" 的成书年代无法确定, 虽然不乏认为其成书年代可以上溯到纪元前若干世纪者, 但现今一般倾向于认为其传世本的形成是在公元3~4世纪. 如果与韩医学加以比较, 可以说在经典的形成与流传方面, '$\bar{A}$yurveda(阿输吠陀)'的"三位长老"与今本"黄帝内经", 无论是在历史地位, 流传与分合, 内容形式及重要性等许多方面, 均有极大的可比性. 然而不论是想真正了解'$\bar{A}$yurveda(阿输吠陀)', 还是想对不同医学体系做比较, 交流方面的研究, 或是全面考察医学与社会, 哲学等等的关系, 仅仅阅读综述性的研究文章与著作总是不够的. 细观而真正了解经典原貌时所能体会到的真实感. 因此, 试图了翻译"Su$\acute{s}$ruta-samhit$\bar{a}$". "Su$\acute{s}$ruta-samhit$\bar{a}$"是用梵语写的, 所以很难接近. 以下借助大地原诚玄的1943年日译本"スシュルタ本集"之第一卷"总說" 而廖育群的"阿輪吠陀-印度的传统医学""妙闻集 总论篇"的主要内容译出. 如今西医体系获得了普遍性, 其他文化圈的传统医学消灭了. 然而其中韩医学和印度传统医学'$\bar{A}$yurveda(阿输吠陀)'仍然保持了生命力. 从而,论者通过翻译'$\bar{A}$yurveda(阿输吠陀)'医学经典即"Su$\acute{s}$ruta-samhit$\bar{a}$(妙闻集)"的"总說", 而且要贡献扩大韩医学和东洋传统医学的范围.

4-색 알고리즘 (The Four Color Algorithm)

  • 본 논문은 지금까지 NP-완전인 난제로 알려진 4-색 정리를 $O(n)$선형시간 복잡도로 수기식과 컴퓨터를 활용하여 증명하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 그래프 $G=(V_1,E_1)$의 정점 집합 V를 최대 독립집합 $\bar{C_1}$와 최소 정점 피복 집합 $C_1$으로 정확히 양분하는 기법을 적용하여 $\bar{C_1}$에 첫 번째 색을 배정하고, $C_1$ 집합의 정점들로 축소된 연결 그래프 $G=(V_2,E_2)$를 대상으로 $\bar{C_2}$$C_2$로 양분하여 $\bar{C_2}$에 두 번째 색을 지정하였다. $C_2$ 집합의 정점들로 축소된 연결 그래프 $G=(V_3,E_3)$를 대상으로 $\bar{C_3}$$C_3$로 양분하여 $\bar{C_3}$에 세 번째 색을 지정하였다. 마지막으로$C_3$$\bar{C_4}$로 하여 4번째 색을 배정하였다. 2개의 실제 지도 그래프와 2개의 평면 그래프를 대상으로 제안된 알고리즘을 적용한 결과 모든 그래프에서 채색수 ${\chi}(G)=4$를 찾는데 성공하였다. 결국, 제안된 "4-색 알고리즘"은 평면 그래프의 4-색을 결정하는 일반적인 알고리즘으로 적용할 수 있을 것이다.
