This study outlines the current state of logistics in the country will be examined. In particular, the country's main development strategy, logistics 3PL as a development strategy is to look about. For the development of 3rd party logistics companies, shippers, and government efforts are needed. Looking at aspects of corporate strategy, First, the logistics company provides a benefit to the shippers should be able to. Second, the logistics company providing logistics services to create added value should be. Third, the integration of customized logistics services and logistics systems must be able to provide. Finally, a positive investment in human resources is needed. Fifth, the logistics must be enabled strategic alliances between companies. Sixth, the introduction and application of advanced Logistics should be actively. Corporate strategy perspective, shippers and 3rd party logistics companies that need to cooperate closely. Finally, The government should strive for the growth of 3rd party logistics companies.

Domestic large group logistics company(2nd-party logistics company)has made inroads on large portion of domestic logistics market, whereby the domestic 3rd-party logistics market has been shrinking every year to a level of 30% or so. Global logistics enterprise is steadily increasing 3rd-party global market portion while Local one facing with stagnating growth has very minimal level in the global market share. Fortunately new government strengthening policy change toward local SME and also recent UN's supplying line enlargement to Asia regions are positive factors which make Local SME very positive environments to advance to UN procurement logistics market. On this occasion, the purpose of this paper is to help local logistics company perform successful bidding through study of UN-transportation case and also suggest in SWOT analysis a segmented measure and support policy between Industry, Academia, Government and Institute.

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to examine total logistics concept performed by 3^rd party logistics, managing with 4th party logistics to achieve more efficient and systematic dealing with sub-functions of physical distribution process. Research design and methodology - The research method to be adopted is first to review 3th party logistics providers that has attracted to various functions of 4PL, and then total logistics concept to be investigated which is related to 3 PL and 4 PL. Results - For the total logistics concept implemented by 3PL, management technique should be widen, then 3 PL's service activities and area should extend. Especially for the collaboration effects between the company and external organizations, it can be collaborated with some commitments in terms of their own independent activities, carrying on inherent functions by both 3PL and 4PL, pursuing total logistics concept. Conclusions - More areas of logistics service has been required by clients in the field, and service activities available is strongly related to roles of 3th party logistics providers as main player in logistics market. However, total logistics management is could be implemented by 3PL combining with various functions of logistics service offered by 4th logistics provider.

When comparing Korea logistics industry with advanced nations, in size, service scope, network and others, our domestic logistics industry is falling behind, and this problem will deter the efforts of South Korea becoming the logistics hub nation in North-east Asia. This study will focus on current conditions of th foreign and domestic logistics, presents policies and plans which will advance logistics industry in South Korea. The results of this study will promote logistics industry in Korea and attain the aim of being a Logistics Hub nation in North-east Asia.

RFID system the key technology of ubiquitous era, has been emphasized in logistics. Logistic enterprises are required to apply RFID systems considering their investment costs, actual effectiveness, operational satisfaction and so on. For such a purpose, many applicable methods of RFID system have been developed A method that RFID tags are directly attached to products or pallets is utilized in most cases. However, this method requires expensive investment cost, frequent replacement of damaged tags for the small and medium (SM) third party logistics. In this paper, we analyze statistically the current status and requirements of SM third party logistics. Based on their requirements, we propose the realtime warehousing-delivery management by the method to attach a RFID tag to each warehouse rack, together with the economy analysis index in order to evaluate economical efficiency. Consequently, this method is expected to reduce Investment cost and to improve operational effectiveness and satisfaction.

Many manufacturers applying third party logistics (3PLs) have some challenges to increase their logistics efficiency. This study introduces an effort to estimate the weight of the delivery trucks provided by 3PL providers, which allows the manufacturer to package and load products in trailers in advance to reduce delivery time. The accuracy of the weigh estimation is more important due to the total weight regulation. This study uses not only the data from the company but also many general prediction variables such as weather, oil prices and population of destinations. In addition, operational statistics variables are developed to indicate the availabilities of the trucks in a specific weight category for each 3PL provider. The prediction model using XGBoost regressor and permutation feature importance method provides highly acceptable performance with MAPE of 2.785% and shows the effectiveness of the developed operational statistics variables.

Thus, on logistics, the 3rd party operating system implementation is top priority to gain international competitiveness. furthermore, the 4th party facilitation including consulting function and IT technology to pursue the maximum effectiveness logistics service providing.

In the military logistics, the Outsourcing such as 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) and 4PL has emerged recently as an important agenda. However, when 3PL applied prematurely, side effects will occur such as the loss of combat power in wartime, the security vulnerabilities and the high cost by a small amount of military order. Recently, the developed countries such as the United States and the Britain want to compensate for these side effects. Therefore, They are developing the private-public competitive sourcing concept for the complementary partnership and the foster competition with the private sector. To apply this concept to the Korean Military, they need to be reorganized and promote the efficiency in the military logistics. Especially, the transportation sector. Therefore, this study, which is focused on the transportation sector, offers two kinds of measures to improve such as the Dual Pallet Standard (T11, T12) and the PLS(Palletized Loading System) truck system. Finally, these improvements will be analyzed by the simulation in this paper.

The firms aim to acquire services and costs advantage from logistics outsourcing strategy. But it is very important to select optimum service provider. The external diseconomy is hampering sustainable development of the city logistics sector. Burdens on urban environment imposed by the city logistics industry have been put in the spotlight. Based on the principle of Life Cycle Analysis, the comprehensive environment impact for city logistics systems is measured. Firstly, with the city logistics service chain as a whole, its business processes and their interactions with environment are analyzed. In total four types of major environment impact categories are determined. Secondly, case study is made on three city logistics operators located in Jing-Jin-Ji region of China with different business modes, respectively self-operation mode, joint distribution mode and the $3^{rd}$ Party Logistics or 3PL mode. Through analysis of energy consumption and emissions for various business processes, their comprehensive environmental impact values are finally obtained. Thirdly, horizontally comparative analysis is carried out to these three modes of the urban logistics distribution systems. Results show the advantages of the 3PL and the joint distribution modes in developing greener urban logistics distribution. Future research avenues and policy suggestions are proposed finally.
