Facile synthesis and characteristics of monodispersed ZnGa2O4 microsphere via solvothermal method (용매열합성법을 통한 단분산된 ZnGa2O4 구형 입자의 제조 및 특성)

  • Monodispersed $ZnGa_2O_4$ microspheres were synthesized by a facile two-step process consisting of a solvothermal method and calcination process. The prepared monodispersed $ZnGa_2O_4$ microspheres were aggregated into 3D microstructures by self-assembly with a large number of small $ZnGa_2O_4$ particles generated in nucleation. This nucleation and self-assembly making hierarchical microstructures were depended on the concentration of PEG (polyethylene glycol) due to CAC (critical aggregation concentration) theory. And also we controlled the amount of zinc acetate to make pure $ZnGa_2O_4$ phase. Additionally, to fix the optimized calcination condition, sample was characterized by TG-DTA to prove the thermal property in the calcination process and by FT-IR to identify the changes of functional group bonding between each element of the $ZnGa_2O_4$ precursor and oxide calcined at $900^{\circ}C$ for 1 h.

  • 광결정(photonic crystal)은 주기적인 유전율 차이를 가지고 있는 인공적인 광학 물질이다. 그래서 이러한 광결정을 지나가는 전자기파는 마치 반도체와 같은 밴드갭을 가지게 된다. 우리는 silica nanosphere를 사용해서 자연의 보석 중, opal과 유사한 3차원 fcc(face-centered cubic) structure를 가지는 광결정을 만들었다. 평평한 유리기판을 용액에 수직으로 담근 후, 용액을 상온에서 증발시키면 자기 조립 방법(self-assembly method)으로 광결정이 만들어진다.   • Ortho images created by aerial photogrammetry have been used in large areas but they are uneconomical for small areas and continuous change observation. The drones have been developed for military purposes, and recently they are being used crop management and analysis, broadcast relay, meteorological observation and disaster investigation and so on. Also there were a lot of studies of expensive commercial drone. In this paper, lower price self-assembly drone usable for in small areas, Obtained images and produced Orthomosaic and DSM using mission planner which is a normal digital camera and open source program, and postprocessing was used Pix4d software. GCP errors are X-coordinate 3.4cm, Y-coordinate 2.4cm, Z-coordinate 4.2cm. It seems like the self-assembly drone can be used for various fields.

Fabrication of Free-Standing Three-Dimensional Block Copolymer Patterns on Substrate (블록 공중합체 3차원 패턴의 제조 방법 및 그 구조 특성)

  • As the importance of three-dimensiona (3D) nano patterns and structures has recently emerged, interest in the study of 3D structures of block copolymers has increased. However, most existing studies on block copolymer 3D patterns on substrates are limited to simple 3D structures such as a multi-layered forms. In this study, we propose an experimental method for realizing free-standing 3D block copolymer patterns on substrates using an e-beam lithographic template and film transfer method. The block copolymer 3D structure formed in wide hole templates are similar to simple multi-layered structures; however, as the width of the hole template become narrower, more complex block copolymer 3D structures are formed in which the upper and lower layer structures are interconnected. Furthermore, we introduce a method to fabricate novel block copolymer structures in which the 2D planar structures are connected to 3D complex structures. Proposed 3D block copolymer fabrication method provides a framework for generation of unconventional 3D structures of block copolymer, which can be useful for next generation 3D devices.

  • 최근 분자들의 자기조립 현상을 나노-바이오 소자 개발에 응용하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 이러한 응용을 위한 대표적인 자기조립체로는 양친성 계면활성제, 블록공증합체, 콜로이드와 초분자체를 들 수 있다. 대부분의 콜로이드가 구형 모양으로 vander Waals interaction에 의하여 3-D결정 (crystal) 형태의 자기조립구조를 형성하는 반면에, 콜로이드를 제외한 대부분의 자기조립체는 적정 조건에서 액정 (liquid crystals), 결정 (crystal) 및 무정형 (amorphous)을 형성한다. 적용하고자 하는 응용의 범위와 재료의 특성에 따라서 각 상태 (phase)를 이용할 수 있으나, 액정상을 이용하는 것과 결정상을 이용하는 경우가 대부분이다. Self-Aggregation of Synthetic Magnesium Bacteriochlorins as a Photosynthetic Antenna Model

  • We prepared 3-(1-hydroxyethyl)-bacteriopyrochlorophy11-a (3) possessing magnesium atom and phytyl ester from modification of natural bacteriochlorophyll(BChl)-a. A dichloromethane solution of (3$^1$R) and (3$^1$S)-3 was diluted with 100~1000 fold volume of cyclohexane to give new species absorbing near-infrared lights. The resulting Q, maximum of (3$^1$R)-3 was 860 nm and red-shifted by 2150 $cm^{-1}$ / from the monomeric. In the nonpolar organic solvent, epimeric (3$^1$S)-3 showed a 1ess red-shifted peak at 798 nm as well as a residual monomeric band. Such visible spectra indicated that 3 diastereose1ectively aggregated in cyclohexane to afford oligomers possessing a simi1ar supramolecular structure with chlorosomal aggregates of natural BChl-d, 7,8-dehydro-form of 3.

Optimization of Emulsion Polymerization for Submicron-Sized Polymer Colloids towards Tunable Synthetic Opals

  • Submicron-sized polymeric colloidal particles can self assemble into 3-dimensional (3D) opal structure which is a useful template for photonic crystal. Narrowly dispersed polymer microspheres can be synthesized by emulsion polymerization in water using water-soluble radical initiator. In this report, we demonstrate a facile and reproducible emulsion polymerization method to prepare various polymeric microspheres within 200 - 400 nm size ranges which can be utilized as colloidal photonic crystal template. By controlling the amount of monomer and surfactant, monodisperse polymer colloids of polystyrene (PS) and acrylates with various sizes were successfully prepared without complicated synthetic procedures. Such polymer colloids self-assembled into 3D opal structure exhibiting bright colors by reflection of visible light. The colloidal particles and the resulting opal structures were rigorously characterized, and the wavelength of the structural color from the colloidal crystal was confirmed to have quantitative relationship with the size of constituting colloidal particles as predicted by Bragg equation. The tunability of the structural color was achieved not only by varying the particle size but also by infiltration of the colloidal crystal with liquids having different refractive indices.

  • A finite element code is developed for 3-D self-contact problems, using continuum elements with a SRI(Selective Reduced Integration) scheme to prevent locking phenomenon by the incompressibility of rubber. Contact treatment is carried out in two ways : using the displacement constraints in case of rigid contact ; and imposing the same contact forces on two contact boundaries in case of self-contact. The finite element code developed is applied to the deformation analysis of C.V.joint boots which maintain lubrication conditions and protect the C.V.joint assembly from impact and dust. The boot accompanies large rotation depending on the rotation of the wheel axis and leading to the self-contact phenomena of the boot bellows. Since this contact phenomenon causes wear of the product and has great influence on the endurance life of the product, it is indispensable to carry out stress analysis of the rubber boots. In case of self-contact, various methods for determining contact forces have been suggested with an appropriate contact formulation. Especially, the types of penetration in self-contact are modularized to accelerate conputation with a contact algorithm.

Thermal and Solid State Assembly Behavior of Amphiphilic Aliphatic Polyether Dendrons with Octadecyl Peripheries

  • A series of amphiphilic dendrons n-18 (n: generation number, 18: octadecyl chain) based on an aliphatic polyether denderitic core and octadecyl peripheries were synthesized using a convergent dendron synthesis consisting of a Williamson etherification and hydroboration/oxidation reactions. This study investigated their thermal and self-assembling behavior in the solid state using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) absorption spectroscopy, and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). DSC indicated that the melting transition and the corresponding heat of the fusion of the octadecyl chain decreased with each generation. FT-IR showed that the hydroxyl focal groups were hydrogen-bonded with one another in the solid state. DSC and FT-IR indicated microphase-separation between the hydrophilic dendritic cores and hydrophobic octadecyl peripheries. SAXS data analysis in the solid state suggested that the lower-generation dendrons 1-18 and 2-18 self-assemble into lamellar structures based upon a bilayered packing of octadecyl peripheries. In contrast, the analyzed data of higher-generation dendron 3-18 is consistent with 2-D oblique columnar structures, which presumably consist of elliptical cross sections. The data obtained could be rationalized by microphase-separation between the hydrophilic dendritic core and hydrophobic octadecyl peripheries, and the degree of interfacial curvature associated with dendron generation.

Self Assembly and Formation of Bi-continuous Cubic Liquid Crystalline Phase (바이컨티니어스 큐빅상 액정의 생성과 자기조직화)

  • This study is to form the self assembly of cubic crystalline phase to penetrate into the skin epidermis. The various performance synthesized diglyceryl phytylacetate (DGPA) having hydroxyl group (-OH) and 4 methyl chains with phytyl group was carried out as an amphoteric lipid such as emulsifying power, self assembly. Emulsifying activity of DGPA was very stabilized on only 1% of small content, it could make a W/O emulsion containing high internal phase incorporated with water. Cubic liquid crystal structure with DGPA on three-phase diagram was formed, when mixed DGPA, dimethicone (2CS), and water. Through three-phase diagram forming the cubic liquid crystal area, hexagonal structure zone, and mixing water phase and hexagonal structure area, reversed micelle area were respectively certified. Its structure was proved by the SAXS (small angled x-ray scattering) analysis. As an application, formation of cubosome containing 10% of magnesium ascorbylphosphate and 5% of pyridoxine tris-hexyldecanoate was encapsulated. Occlusive effect of cubosome had above 1.7 times better than reversed micelle. From using poloxamer of dispersing agent, phase structure recovered from W/O emulsion to cubic liquid crystal phase when storage in $33^{\circ}C$ incubator. Therefore, our this study is expected to be as epidermal-dermal skin absorbers in skin care cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries as raw materials to form a cubic crystal phase through a more in-depth research to DGPA having amphoteric lipid property.
