In order to improve the damage tolerance of the conventional laminated composites, threedimensional fiber structures incorporated with stitching yams have been utilized in this study. From the newly developed process termed as TAPIS(TApe Placement Incorporated with Stitching), carbon/epoxy composites have been fabricated. Two-dimensional composites with the same stacking sequence as 3D counterparts have also been fabricated for the property comparison. To examine the damage resistance performance the low speed drop weight impact test has been adopted. For the assessment of damage after the impact loading, specimens were subjected to C-scan nondestructive inspection compression after impact(CAI) were also conducted to evaluate residual compressive strength. Although the damage area of 3D composites was greatly reduced$(30-40\%)$ compared with that of 2D composites, the CAI strength did not show drastic improvement.
Nowadays, hydration heat analysis using FEM is common in thermal crack control of concrete structure. Many kinds of general FEM programs for hydration heat analysis are used in practice. But there are some problems in this using. In this study hydration heat analysis of wall according to placement length are performed. In this results we could get two conclusions. First, general structures like wall having general geometry and construction condition have similar behavior. So it is not necessary to analysis thermal crack in every case. Second, the results of 2D analysis is possible to be applied instead of those of 3D analysis because the results of 2D analysis is similar to 3D analysis in long wall having about 15~18m or over length at 3m height.

Uncore components such as on-chip memory systems and on-chip interconnects consume a large amount of energy in emerging embedded applications. Few studies have focused on next-generation analytical models for future chip-multiprocessors (CMPs) that simultaneously consider the impacts of the power consumption of core and uncore components. In this paper, we propose a convex-optimization approach to design heterogeneous uncore architectures for embedded CMPs. Our convex approach optimizes the number and placement of memory banks with different technologies on the memory layer. In parallel with hybrid memory architecting, optimizing the number and placement of through silicon vias as a viable solution in building three-dimensional (3D) CMPs is another important target of the proposed approach. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms 3D CMP designs with hybrid and traditional memory architectures in terms of both energy delay products (EDPs) and performance parameters. The proposed method improves the EDPs by an average of about 43% compared with SRAM design. In addition, it improves the throughput by about 7% compared with dynamic RAM (DRAM) design.
It is important to devise methods for assisting dentists to consistently determine implant positions and directions and to accurately perform drilling tasks during dental implant surgery. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to tooth implant placement planning which deals with the determination of the positions and directions of multiple implant fixtures for a set of missing mandibular teeth and suggests the selection of the sizes and types of the implant fixtures. We combine Korean standard data in the sizes and positions of human teeth with the patient specific 3D models of mandibular jawbones, nerve curves, and neighboring teeth around the missing teeth in order to determine the positions and directions of the implant fixtures for the missing teeth. Using the geometric and spatial information of the jawbones, the teeth and the implant fixtures, we can construct the 3D models of surgical guide stents which are crucial to perform drilling tasks with ease and accuracy. Adopted in 3D simulation of dental implant placement, the approach can provide surgeon students with good educational contents. We also expect that, with further work, the approach can be used as a useful tool to plan for dental implant surgery.

Applications such as vibration isolation, gravity compensation, pick-and-place machines, etc., would benefit from (long-stroke) cylindrical/tubular permanent magnet (PM) actuators with integrated passive gravity compensation to minimize the power consumption. As an example, in component placing (pick-and-place) machines on printed circuit boards, passive devices allow the powerless counteraction of translator including nozzles or tooling bits. In these applications, an increasing demand is arising for high-speed actuation with high precision and bandwidth capability mainly due to the placement head being at the foundation of the motion chain, hence, a large mass of this device will result in high force/power requirements for the driving mechanism (i.e. an H-bridge with three linear permanent magnet motors placed in an H-configuration). This paper investigates a tubular actuator topology combined with passive gravity compensation. These two functionalities are separately introduced, where the combination is verified using comprehensive three dimensional (3D) finite element analyses.
The Problem of vibration Inflence to housing Construction fields has arised at the begining of 1970, at That time I used Lion(VM -l2B) which recorded only dB Demension. On the 1980's I have been used lnstantel made blastemate(DS-477), modern Instrument for measuring speed, Acc, frequency and placement. but The most of Jobsite used Lion I Carried out the empirical equation of conversion dB to cm /sec as follows. Single free face : dB = 140PPV + 30 double free face : dB = 143PPV + 20 Above equation Could apply on Rock type 3(soft rock)
In order to prevent major and chemical accidents, some of the plants which would like to install and operate hazard chemicals handling facilities must submit Off-site Consequence Analysis due to recent arisen leak accidents since 2015. A lot of chemical industrials choose gas detectors as mitigation equipment to early detect gas vapor. The way of placement of gas detectors has two methods; Code-based Design(CBD) and Performance-based Design. The CBD has principles for gas detectors to be installed with consideration for the place that is expected to accumulate gas, and the leak locations according to legal standards and technical guidelines, and has a possibility to be unable to detect by these rules to locate gas detectors by vapor density information. The PBD has two methods; a Geographic Method and Scenario based Method. The Scenario-based Method has been suggested to make up for the Geographic Coverage Method. This Scenario-based Method draw the best optimum placement of gas detectors by considering leak locations, leak speed information, leak directions and etc. However, the domestic placement guidelines just refers to the CBD. Therefore, this study is to compare existing placement location of gas detectors by the domestic CBD with placement locations, coverages and the number of gas detectors in accordance with the Scenario-based Method. Also this study has measures for early detecting interest of Vapor Cloud and suitable placement of gas detectors to prevent chemical accidents. The Phast software was selected to simulate vapor cloud dispersion to predict the consequence. There are two cases; an accident hole size of leak(8 mm) from API which is the highst accident hole size less than 24.5 mm, and a normal leak hole size from KOSHA Guide (1.8 mm). Detect3D was also selected to locate gas detectors efficiently and compare CBD results and PBD results. Currently, domestic methods of gas detectors do not consider any risk, but just depend on domestic code methods which lead to placement of gas detectors not to make personnels recognize tolerable or intolerable risks. The results of the Scenario-based Method, however, analyze the leak estimated range by simulating leak dispersion, and then it is able to tell tolerable risks. Thus it is considered that individuals will be able to place gas detectors reasonably by making objectives and roles flexibly according to situations in a specific plant.
Purpose: This study was performed to compare and evaluate the effect of recipient site depths and diameters of the drills on the primary stability of implant in pig's ribs. Materials and methods: An intact pig's rib larger than 8 mm in width and 20 mm in height; RBM(resorbable blasting media) surface blasted ${\phi}3.75mm$ and 8.0 mm long USII Osstem Implants (Osstem Co., Korea) were used. To measure the primary stability, $Periotest^{(R)}$ (Simens AG, Germany) and $Osstell^{TM}$ (Model 6 Resonance Frequency Analyser: Integration Diagnostics Ltd., Sweden) were used. They were divided into 6 groups according to its recipient site formation method: D3H3, D3H5, D3H7, D3.3H3, D3.3H5, D3.3H7. Each group had, as indicated, 10 implants placed, and total 60 implants were used. The mean value was obtained by 4-time measurements each on mesial, distal, buccal, and lingual side perpendicular to the long axis of the implant using $Periotest^{(R)}$ and $Osstell^{TM}$. For statistical analysis one-way ANOVA was used to compare the mean value of each group, and the correlation between placement depths and the primary stability, and that of measuring instruments was analyzed using SPSS 12.0. Results: The primary stability of the implants increased as the placement depths increased (p<0.05), and showed a proportional relationship (p<0.01). The primary stability increased when the diameter of the recipient site was smaller than that of the implant but with no statistical significance. There was a strong correlation between $Osstell^{TM}$ and $Periotest^{(R)}$ (p<0.01). Conclusion: These results suggest that increasing the placement depth of implants enhances the primary stability of implant.
