The development of a practical pipe auto-routing system in a shipbuilding CAD environment using network optimization

  • An automatic pipe routing system is proposed and implemented. Generally, the pipe routing design as a part of the shipbuilding process requires a considerable number of man hours due to the complexity which comes from physical and operational constraints and the crucial influence on outfitting construction productivity. Therefore, the automation of pipe routing design operations and processes has always been one of the most important goals for improvements in shipbuilding design. The proposed system is applied to a pipe routing design in the engine room space of a commercial ship. The effectiveness of this system is verified as a reasonable form of support for pipe routing design jobs. The automatic routing result of this system can serve as a good basis model in the initial stages of pipe routing design, allowing the designer to reduce their design lead time significantly. As a result, the design productivity overall can be improved with this automatic pipe routing system.

  • 초고층강제어초(VEry High-rise Steel Artificial Reef, VEHSAR)의 형상 표현과 해석을 위해서 3차원 모델링 프로그램을 Windows 95(또는 Windows NT) 환경하에서 MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class)를 기반으로 한 Visual C++로 개발하였다. 컴퓨터를 통해 미리 초고층 강제어초 건조를 실제와 같이 구현해 봄으로써 문제점의 사전 예측 및 대책 수립 등을 가능케 하는 저비용 고효율의 일관설계시스템을 구축하는 것을 목표로 하는 이 프로그램은 객체지향프로그램 기법과 CAD/CAM기술의 도입으로 생산성 향상이 기대되며, OpenGL이라는 그래픽 라이브러리를 도입하여 좀더 빠른 고화질의 3차원 그래픽을 화면상에 나타나게 할 수 있다.

  • The TCAD(Technology Computer Aided Design) software tool is a popular name to be able to simulate the semiconductor process and device circuit. We have developed a two-dimensional TCAD software tool included an editor, parser, each process unit, and 2D, 3D graphic routine that is Integrated Environment. The initial grid for numerical analysis is automatically generated with the geometric series that use the user default(given) line and position separated with grid interval and the nodes corresponding to each mesh point stoic the all the possible attribute. Also, we made a data structure called PIF for input or output. Methods of ion implantation in this paper arc Monte Carlo, Gaussian Pearson and Dual-Pearson. Analytical model such as Gaussian, Pearson and Dual-Pearson were considered the multilayer structure and two-dimensional tilted implantation. We simuttaneously calculated the continuity equation of impurity and point defect in diffusion simulation. Oxidation process was simulated by analytical ERFC(Complementary Error Function) model for local oxidation.

영상레이더(SAR)용 3차원 산란점 점구름 표적모델의 교량 지역에 대한 적용 (SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) 3-Dimensional Scatterers Point Cloud Target Model and Experiments on Bridge Area)

  • 영상레이더(SAR)에서 인공표적에 대한 모델링은 주로 3차원 CAD(Computer Aided Design) 모델의 면(face) 및 모서리(edge)에서 반사되는 레이더 신호를 광선추적(ray-tracing) 방식으로 시뮬레이션하고 있고, 지구 표면의 클러터(clutter)에 대한 모델링은 영상레이더 이미지 자체에 대한 통계학적(statistical) 분석을 통해 분포(distribution) 특성이 유사한 종류들을 구분하는 방식을 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지상의 인공표적 및 지표면의 배경 클러터를 3차원 점구름(point cloud) 산란점(scatterer point) 모델로 만들고 두 개의 모델이 통합된 상황에서 계산적(computational)인 신호처리 과정을 통해 영상 레이더 이미지를 생성하였으며, 이것을 실제 차량탑재형 영상레이더 시스템의 스트립맵(stripmap) 이미지 생성 결과 및 전자기적(EM) 모델링 또는 통계학적 분포 모델을 사용하여 분석한 결과와 유사한 지 비교해 보았다. 모델링 대상은 지상의 인공표적인 교량(다리)을 선정 했는데, 그 이유는 교량의 경유 주변에 수면과 지면이 같이 존재하는 특성이 있고 또한 군사용 및 민간용 활용에서 모두 관심이 많은 표적이기 때문이다.

Determination of the Inelastic cross Sections for $C_{3}F_{8}$ Molecule by electron Swarm Study

  • We measured the electron transport coefficients, the electron drift velocity, W, and the longitudinal diffusion coefficient, $D_{L}$, over the E/N range from 0.03 to 100 Td and gas pressure range from 0.133 to 122 kPa in the 0.526% and 5.05% $C_{3}F_{8}$-Ar mixtures by the double shutter drift tube with variable drift distance. And we calculated these electron transport coefficients by using multi-term approximation of Boltzmann equation analysis. We determined the electron collision cross sections set for $C_{3}F_{8}$ molecule by the comparison of measurement and calculation. Our special attention in the present study was focused upon the inelastic collision cross sections of the $C_{3}F_{8}$ molecule.

오메가형 벨로즈관의 성형을 위한 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis for Forming Processes of $\Omega$-type Bellows Tube)

  • The study presents an computer-aided analysis and its design for the forming process of $\Omega$-type bellows tube. Finite element analysis was carried out to perform the process simulation. Based on the analytic results of various conditions, the forming conditions used for angled U-type bellows tube were settled. The 3D modeling was constructed by I-DEAS and PAM-STAMP was used for process simulation. It is concluded that the spring back of formed bellows influences $\Omega$-shape and these results can be used for the process design.

  • The study presents a computer-aided analysis and its design for the forming process of .OMEGA. -type bellows tubes. Finite element analysis was carried out to perform the process simulation. Bsed on the analytic results of various conditions, the forming conditions used for angled U-type bellows tubes were determined. The 3-D modeling was constructed by I-DEAS and the process simulation was constructed by PAM- STAMP. It is concluded that the difference of height between die and bellows during the forming process causes a non-uniform shape of the bellows and also influences .OMEGA. -shape. These results can be utilized for the process design.

Wear evaluation of CAD-CAM dental ceramic materials by chewing simulation

  • PURPOSE. To evaluate the wear of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) dental ceramic materials opposed by enamel as a function of increased chewing forces. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The enamel cusps of healthy human third molar teeth (n = 40) opposed by materials from CAD-CAM dental ceramic groups (n = 10), including Vita Enamic® (ENA), a polymer-infiltrated ceramic network (PICN); GC Cerasmart® (CERA), a resin nanoceramic; Celtra® Duo (DUO), a zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS) ceramic; and IPS e.max ZirCAD (ZIR), a polycrystalline zirconia, were exposed to chewing simulation (1,200,000 cycles; 120 N load; 1 Hz frequency; 0.7 mm lateral and 2 mm vertical motion). The wear of both enamel cusps and materials was quantified using a 3D laser scanner, and the wear mechanisms were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results were analysed using Welch ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis test (α = .05). RESULTS. ZIR showed lower volume loss (0.02 ± 0.01 mm3) than ENA, CERA and DUO (P = .001, P = .018 and P = .005, respectively). The wear of cusp/DUO [0.59 mm3 (0.50-1.63 mm3)] was higher than cusp/CERA [0.17 mm3 (0.04-0.41 mm3)] (P = .007). ZIR showed completely different wear mechanism in SEM. CONCLUSION. Composite structured materials such as PICN and ZLS ceramic exhibit more abrasive effect on opposing enamel due to their loss against wear, compared to uniform structured zirconia. The resin nano-ceramic causes the lowest enamel wear thanks to its flexible nano-ceramic microstructure. While zirconia appears to be an enamel-friendly material in wear volume loss, it can cause microstructural defects of enamel.

I 형 게이트 내방사선 n-MOSFET 구조 설계 및 특성분석 (Design of a radiation-tolerant I-gate n-MOSFET structure and analysis of its characteristic)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 실리콘 기반 n-MOSFET(n-type Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor)의 절연 산화막 계면에서 방사선으로부터 유발되는 누설전류 경로를 차단하기 위하여 I형 게이트 n-MOSEFT 구조를 제안하였다. I형 게이트 n-MOSFET 구조는 상용 0.18um CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) 공정에서 레이아웃 변형 기법을 이용하여 설계되었으며, ELT(Enclosed Layout Transistor)와 DGA(Dummy Gate-Assisted) n-MOSFET와 같은 레이아웃 변형 기법을 사용한 기존 내방사선 전자소자의 구조적 단점을 개선하였다. 따라서, 기존 구조와 비교하여 반도체 칩 제작에서 회로 설계의 확장성을 확보할 수 있다. 또한, 내방사선 특성 검증을 위하여 TCAD 3D(Technology Computer Aided Design 3-dimension) tool을 사용하여 모델링과 모의실험을 수행하였고, 그 결과 I형 게이트 n-MOSFET 구조의 내방사선 특성을 확인하였다.

유한요소법을 이용한 프로그레시브 금형 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Progressive Die Design by the using of Finite Element Method)

  • This paper describes a research work of developing computer-aided design of a product with bending and piercing for progressive working. An approach to the system for progressive working is based on the knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the system is formulated from plasticity theories, experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. The system has been written in Auto-LISP on the Auto-CAD with a personal computer and is composed of four main modules, which are input and shape treatment, flat pattern layout, strip layout, and die layout modules. The system is designed by considering several factors, such as bending sequences by fuzzy set theory, complexities of blank geometry, punch profiles, and the availability of a press equipment. Strip layout drawing generated in the strip layout module is presented in 3-D graphic forms, including bending sequences and piercing processes with punch profiles divided into for external area. The die layout module carries out die design for each process obtained from the results of the strip layout. Results obtained using the modules enable the manufacturer for progressive working of electric products to be more efficient in this field.
