수학학습의 발생과 체험-유추 그리고 메타포

  • 신체적 체험은 인간의 사고를 형성하는 바탕이 된다. 문제해결 경험은 인간 사고를 한층 더 발전시킨다. 특히 사물의 형태와 움직임을 관찰하고, 그러한 환경에 감각-운동 신경을 발달시키는 체험에서 획득된 개념들은 추상적 사고에서 중심적 역할을 한다는 언어심리학의 가설이 흥미롭게 제기되어 연구되어 오고 있다. 개념체계로서 수학, 언어로서 수학, 의미 만들기로서 수학 , 문제 해결로서 수학 등 수학학습과 관련된 수학의 여러 모습에 대한 새로운 시각을 갖게 한다. Lakoff와 Johnson는 신체적 체험이 가져온 이러한 개념체계들 '메타포'라고 부른다. 메타포의 '개념' 수준으로의 확장은 analogy의 의미를 확장시켰다. 수학학습에 신체적 체험으로 존재하는 개념들은 수학적 개념에 이르는 학습을 새롭게 보게 한다. 본 연구는 metaphor와 analogy의 인지과학 및 언어과학에서 연구되고 있는 일반적 의미들을 제시하고 수학학습에서의 적용될 수 있는 방법들을 제시한다.

  • 작금의 현대 사회는 바쁜 일상 속 부모들의 관심이 부족한 자녀들에 대한 심리적 안정과 환경 적응력을 위한 색채심리치료의 필요성이 급증하고 있다. 이에 우리는 아동의 그림 등으로 아동의 감성상태를 파악하여야 한다. 현재 진행 중인 감성의 실증적 연구는 크게 심리학적 관점과 공학적 관점에서 이루어지고 있다. 심리학분야에서 이해하고 있는 감성은 감정에 가깝다고 할 수 있고, 한편 공학적 관점에서 이해되는 감성은 '외부의 물리적 자극에 의한 감각, 지각으로부터 인간의 내부에 야기되는 고도의 심리적 체험'으로 정의할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 색채 이미지 공간에서의 단색, 배색의 정보를 활용하여 색채조화를 식별하고, 아동의 그림에서의 심리를 추출해내는 시스템을 제공한다. 우선 색채 이미지공간을 기반으로 감성 데이터베이스를 구축한다. 이후에 영상을 K-Means알고리즘을 이용해 클러스터링 하여 방대한 컬러 값들을 그룹화 시킨 후에 데이터베이스와 매칭을 시켜 감성을 추출해 내고, 아동의 그림에서의 컬러 분포도를 이용하여 아동색채심리를 알아본다.

  • 가상현실이 심리학에 확대 적용되며 주목할 만한 많은 연구결과들이 발표되고 있다. 이와 더불어 현대사회에서 필수적으로 갖춰야할 능력 중 하나는 바로 발표능력이다. 하지만 제대로 연습을 할 수 있는 조건을 갖추기가 힘들고, 발표 연습 현장은 실제 발표 상황과 많이 다르기 때문에 크게 도움이 되지 않을 수도 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 좀 더 현실감 있고, 실제 상황을 반영할 수 있는 발표연습 프로그램을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 VR기기를 통해 사용자가 실제로 발표하는 느낌을 받도록 환경을 제공하며, 라이프 풍선요소를 배치하여, 사용자의 시선처리 능력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 이끌어 주며, 직접 PPT자료를 업로드 함으로써, 제한적인 공간에서도 PPT이용 발표를 할 수 있도록 도와준다. 마지막으로 본 제안 시스템에서는 사용자 음성 피치와 채점, 침묵시간의 분석을 통해 발표 흐름을 피드백할 수 있는 기능을 제공하였다.

  • The popularity of data science, influenced by the trends from the United States around 2010, has significantly impacted the education of various statistics departments at domestic universities. However, it is challenging to find research papers in domestic academic journals that address the efficient teaching of data science topics in relation to computing environment. This article will discuss and propose the establishment of a suitable computing infrastructure for the education and research in statistics and data science departments in domestic universities.

  • Although academic interest, the intersection of cognition, emotion, and motivation, is a primary goal of learning and mediates the effects of learning, the present learning environment is full of impeding factors which undermine learner's interests in learning situation. The purpose of this study is to examine current state of academic interests of Korean students and to identify several potential causes of developmental declines in academic interests. It has been consistently found that academic interests in various school subjects decrease with age and grade in school. Three potentially contributing factors to the observed loss of academic interests are mainly discussed: deprived autonomy, severe competition, and normative evaluation. Based on theories on interest and motivation, and empirical findings, various prescriptions are also suggested for designing an interest-based learning environment in order to trigger and enhance learner's academic interests.

  • What difference does the metaverse experience have from the real world? This study investigated the effect of space size and dialogue topic on metaverse user experience. The results from a 3(space size: reality vs. metaverse in an open room vs. metaverse in a closed room) x 2(dialogue topic: positive vs. negative) mixed factorial design experiment (N = 75) revealed statistically significant effects of space on responsiveness, and dialogue topic on closeness. This result implies that designing metaverse for non-immersive devices should include careful considerations regarding the characteristics of the user's real space.

  • This paper examines the diverse conceptualizations of trust and explores the multi-level factors affecting trust in organizations. Trust in organizations can be defined as a willingness to be vulnerable to the actions of others and to take risks based on the positive expectations toward the others' intentions and behaviors. The process of building and the content of trust in organizations can vary depending on the social and cultural backgrounds in which. the organizations lie. The reengineering process toward a flatter and flexible organizational structure requires the presence of trusting relationships within organizations. Networks within organizations can function as a basis and channel of trust formation. Finally, the importance of trust in efficient leadership process was discussed.

An Analysis of Decision Making Process in Voluntary Reducing Private Car Use (자발적 자가용 이용 저감의 의사결정과정 분석 연구)

  • To relieve Green-house Gas Emission is the key issue in urban area. Urban transport policies have focused on the reduction of private car use. The most common of these is Travel Demand Management(e.g., congestion charge, environmental tax, etc.) that forces individuals to reduce their private car use. An alternative way is Mobility Management(MM) that induces individuals to voluntarily change their car use through communications. MM is founded on social psychology theory and focuses on individuals' decision making processes to change their perception and attitude on private car use. Although some researchers have reported the relevance of MM approach, still few researches have explicitly studied on individuals' decision making processes. Therefore, the aims of the paper are to analyze the decision making process of individuals and to provide the basis of introducing MM approach in Korea. Structural equation model(SEM) is applied for the analysis of individuals' decision making process. A empirical study shows that psychological factors such as perception/attitude on global environment or individual norms impact significantly to reduce private car use and accordingly the relevance of introducing MM approach instead of imposing regulations or expanding transport facilities.

Validation of the Critical Consciousness Scale for University Students (대학생을 대상으로 한 비판적 의식 척도 타당화)

  • The Critical Consciousness Scale (CCS) is a scale developed by Diemer and colleagues (2017) that can measure the capacity of the oppressed or marginalized people to critically analyze their social and political conditions, support societal equality, and take action to change the perceived inequities. In this study, we validated the CCS for Korea by adapting and localizing the scale and validating it among university students. Content validity was verified by having five individuals with master's and doctoral degrees in psychology evaluate the suitability of the translated items. Afterwards, reliability and validity were verified through a survey of 314 university students nationwide using the CCS, along with the opportunity inequality recognition scale, recognition of the need for environmental change scale, social participation scale, and belief in a just world scale. To verify the scale's validity, exploratory factor analysis was conducted, confirming three subfactors. Then, a confirmatory factor analysis was carried out, where 14 items out of the original 22 were retained. The construct validity and reliability of these 14 items were found to be satisfactory. Additionally, in the correlation analysis between the CCS and similar scales, a significant clear relationship was found. The CCS showed a positive correlation with scales such as opportunity inequality recognition, need for environmental change recognition, and social participation, and a negative correlation with the belief in a just world scale. Based on these results, the CCS can be considered valid and reliable. Finally, the limitations and significance of this study were discussed.

The Potential Application of Environmental Psychology and Behavior Studies to Environmental Design (환경심리.행태 연구의 가능성과 한계성)

  • Environmental designers in Korea have shown interests in Environomental Psychology and Behavior Studies (EPBS) since 1970's. However, many designers, who have expected a great deal of contribution from the EPBS, have disappointed due to their overexpectation and misunderstanding on the EPBS. This study intends to analyse the nature of the EPBS and to investigate the potential contribution of the EPBS to the field of environmental design. The EPBS are able to help designers by providing scentific data in each stage of the design process. Further, most design theories and principles are based on the findings of the EPBS. Thus the development of the EPBS has great potential of contribution to the development of design theories arid principles Due to the scientific nature of the EPBS, however, the EPBS have difficulties in supplying scientific data within relatively short period, which make most designers impatient. Designers should understand the scientific nature of the EPBS and be patient in expecting usable outcome from the EPBS. Further, Designers should not expect the EPBS give them design soultion itself.
