Noise Map Analysis for the Design of Noise Barrier at School Site (학교부지의 방음벽 설계를 위한 소음지도 해석)

  • In this study, the noise mapping simulation is executed to design an effective barrier reducing noise levels of a school site. The geographical features of the ambient site and the school buildings are modelled in detail in order to consider sound propagation, deflection, and absorption phenomena etc. The main sound source, sound power level of expressway, is estimated on the basis of measured noise levels at several points of the site. The noise mapping simulation is performed by using ENPro, environmental noise prediction program based on ISO 9613 to analysis the effectiveness of noise barrier. Consequently, the noise barrier is designed to meet an environmental noise standard and satisfy low cost and safety conditions.

  • 본 연구에서는 플랜트 잡음이 강한 음향 환경에서 기존의 인버스 필터링 방법에 적용 선형 증진기를 부착하여 부가경로 전달함수의 온라인 모델링과 주소음원에 대한 제어 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째로, 신호대 잡음비가 낮은 음향 환경에서 적응 선형 증진기를 이용하여 플랜트 잡음을 제거함으로써 부가경로 전달함수의 온라인 모델링을 수행할 수 있었다. 둘째로, 실제의 부가경로 전달함수가 변한 상태에서 제안된 알고리즘을 이용하여 제어 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 주소음원에 대한 제어와 정확하게 새로운 부가경로 전달함수를 예측할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 제안된 알고리즘을 실시간 어셈블리화하여 능동 소음 제어 실험한 결과를 발표할 예정이다.

  • Multi-rotor type UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)s are expanding their applications not only for military purposes but also for private industries such as aerial photography and unmanned delivery vehicles. For wider use of unmanned aerial vehicles, studies should be carried out to improve aerodynamic efficiency and reduce noise of propellers, which can be achieved based on techniques of predicting aerodynamic performance and noise in a given environment. In this study, aerodynamic and noise prediction techniques were developed for a small unmanned aerial vehicle propeller, and it was verified by comparing it with actual measurement results. Thrust and torque due to the change of r/min and the frequency spectral prediction at a given position secured the reliability of the prediction method, which provides a basis for the shape design of the propeller.

  • Recently, with sudden increase of supplying rate of cars and quantity of goods transported, traffic noisy becomes one of important factors obstruct environment of exhibition and view facilities have purpose in calmness and unsatisfaction about this is high now. Therefore, in case of exhibition and view facilities, it has to be grasped that satisfaction degree about the noisy in and out of the exhibition room by performing effect valuation on traffic noisy from design step. However the level of internal noise cannot be measured at the design phrase of the structure due to the noise of traffic. Up until now a walls transmission loss, based on the law of mass, is predicted using this method. However measuring the internal sound level after actual construction reveals that there is a large difference from measurements made at the design stage, and it is very difficult to find a solution after the opening of the structure. From research looking from this perspective the internal sound level was predicted- calculating the internal sound absorption ability, using acoustic simulation and loss prevention of an insulated wall- based on data collected to evaluate the internal sound of an exhibition room at a Folk Museum adjacent to a freeway. The results of this research are considered to provide important data for the prediction of internal sound level at the time of construction of exhibition facilities similar to this.

A Study on Real-time Environmental Noise Mapping based on AWS Cloud (AWS 클라우드 기반 실시간 환경소음지도 제작 연구)

  • This study aims to suggest a method to provide a real-time noise map based on cloud using Amazon AWS. Acquiring environmental noise information, an Android app was developed to collect data on noise level, location, and measurement time of campus in Inha Technical College as a study area. Noise measurement information is transmitted to the AWS Cloud and managed, and the noise information collected through Amazon Quick Site is displayed in charts and maps. Finally, a web-based noise contour map and the results mapped to buildings were visualized with a Google map for users to search for the current environmental noise distribution. The real-time noise map presented as a result of this study is expected to be helpful for noise status and reduction policies.

An Analysis of the Traffic Noise Measurement Plans of 'Apartment Complexes' - A Case on the North Riverside Expressway in Seoul - ('아파트단지' 교통소음측정방안에 관한 연구 - 강북 강변도로 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This study conducts a theoretical research on road traffic noise. Also, the domestic road noise forecast models were compared each other and analyzed with advanced countries' models to indicate the application possibility and problems. For the establishment of a general formula, we compared the forecasted value with the actual value applied in the formula proposed by the National Environment Institute, and examined the necessary improvement of the domestic road traffic noise forecast model. Also, a regression model was built to examine the relationship between traffic factors and noise. The traffic volume and speed are the main traffic factors used in this formula to affect the noise. From the results, it was found that the speed had a closer relationship with the noise rather than the traffic volume. Therefore, to decrease road noise, it is more important to control traffic speed. The spatial effect of road traffic noise within the apartment complexes was used in the case study to derive location-specific adjustment values. We surveyed the road traffic noise of three apartment complexes, and found that the road traffic noise within each complex was affected at plane level as well as at three-dimensionally. In other words, as the distance from the sound origin grows farther, noise level decreases. Also, it was found that noise increases as heigt goes up, but drops when the height goes beyond a certain level, and that the effect of noise decreases if there are obstacles along the path of the noise direction. Therefore, apartment site design should be done with consideration of the effects of noise in the future.

  • 소음은 환경 오염원의 하나로서 사람에게 육체적, 정신적 피해를 발생시킨다. 이에 소음 제어 기술의 필요성이 증대하였고, 그 중에서 제어가 까다롭고 고비용을 요구하는 저주파 소음 제어 기술의 개발이 확대되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 저주파의 주기적인 특성을 가지는 1차원 평면파 소음에 대한 능동 제어를 위해 기존의 적응 피드포워드 방법의 단점을 보완하는 적응 피드백 방법을 이용한 능동 소음 제어 시스템을 구성하고 능동 소음 제어 실험을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 소음원과 제어 음원을 가지는 덕트 형상의 실험 장치를 구성하였다. 제어기 설계를 위해 전파 소음을 예측하는 선형 예측법을 적용한 적응 디지털 필터를 구성하였으며 적응 알고리즘으로 Filtered-X LMS 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 제어기는 제어 알고리즘을 프로그램화하여 DSP에 입력함으로써 구성하였다. 실험에 사용된 소음은 500[Hz] 이하의 단일 주파수의 정현파 소음을 사용하였으며, 실험결과 음압 감소의 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 능동 소음 제어의 기술을 개발하여 하드웨어(덕트)의 모양 및 구조, 제어기의 종류 및 처리 속도, 주파수나 크기와 같은 특성이 급격히 변하는 소음의 경우에 능동적으로 소음을 제어할 수 있으며, 저주파 소음을 발생시키는 관형 연소기와 같은 장치 및 여러 분야에 응용이 가능하도록 하였다.

Array gain estimated by spatial coherence in noise fields (소음 환경에서 공간상관성을 이용한 배열이득 추정)

  • Array Gain (AG) is a metric to measure the performance of an array of acoustic sensors. AG is affected by the configuration of array, frequency and array element spacing, and the directivity of the ambient noise. In this paper, an algorithm to calculate AG based on the spatial coherence is used, and the results are verified through sea-going experiment. The method using the spatial coherence can be used to consider the arbitrary shape of an array and directionality of ambient noise. In the sea-going experiment, the towed source was used to transmit the Continuous Wave (CW), and was received at the horizontal line array on the seabed. The ambient noise was measured between the source transmission. The experimental AG was calculated from the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) of single sensor and an array of sensors. Finally, the predicted AG is shown to agree with the experimental value of AG.
